I love credit cards so much!

How does the charge come through on your card? What is the description?

It codes as a purchase. If you do this set the Cash Advance limit below 2k. I always ask for the lowest possible limit. I did this at the end of march for SO’s CIP and it says PNC Bank NA online retail. The category is Finance/Other.

Shoot... just stopped by Best Buy and their system wouldn’t let me purchase a gift card. Only out $25 so not bad, but I hate shopping at Best Buy. Guess I’ll pick up a dvd or something with it. Back to Target I go. I don’t ever leave a lot in gift cards accumulated, but even if I did with Target I will always have things there I can buy.

Someone on Reddit got a mailer for the CIP with 120k sign up bonus.... and I can’t even get Citi AA mailers...
Omg me either. I could use that CIP. Today in the mail, I got a “preapproved loan” offer, a Citi Double cash with a 0% APR and an offer for HELOC. Blech

FYI for those calling chase to remove an AU from their account, they asked me why I was doing that. I was surprised so I thought I’d mention it so you all will be ready. Also, I started with a SM but they replied and asked me to call.

Fortunately, removing your husband as an AU from your cards and those open accounts from his credit report is very easy through Chase (not the case for all issuers). You’ll want to start this now and give it a statement cycle before getting your husband in the game. For each card that your husband is an AU on, go into your Chase account, send a Secure Message (“SM”) to Chase regarding the particular card requesting that Chase cancel the AU card/remove your husband as an AU on that card account. Once that’s done, go into your husband’s Chase account, and send a SM to Chase informing them that he is no longer an AU on each card, that he was not and no longer is responsible financially for any of the charges on each card (key words), and that he’d like Chase to remove those AU accounts from his credit reports with all credit bureaus to which Chase reports. This should remove at least 3 cards from his */24 count.

I am just learning so forgive me if I’m wrong but I would worry that if she removed her DH as the AU from all of her/his accounts, then he may not have enough credit history left to qualify for the new cards. I am a few pages behind so maybe this was discussed. Or is that not a concern for some reason? I just know that, in my case, when I removed an AU account, my credit went down. Luckily I had other older cards so I was still okay.

Could be an opportunity to make up a funny story...
“He was cheating on me...with my dog groomer. They’re having a kid together and I kicked him out...and if he puts one more dog expense on my credit card I’m going to sell his car on EBay. At least that’ll legitimize that business credit card you guys have me last week...”

The new Marriott consumer card is supposed to be released tomorrow. The rumor is it'll have a 100k signup bonus, with the option for existing Marriott cardholders to upgrade for a bonus. Speculation is Chase will have a one-Marriott card rule so you can't get the new card if you have the old card.
Will the old card be available? I realized that I probably need to reduce DH's SW credit limit... that alone is 25% of our household income.

That will depend entirely on your travel goals and style. It will also depend on how many credit cards you have opened in the last 24 months and which ones. Do you have a specific destination in mind? Fortunately, many here are well versed in a variety of areas and travel styles so someone will be able to help. With a little more information we can point you in the right direction.
I opened SW and American Airlines in past 18 months. Thinking of going to Hawaii in 3 years, Will be going to FL every year. So looking for saving on hotel and airfare for Hawaii.

Can someone help me understand the Hilton Honors site? I've signed up for the new double points promotion like 5 times but it doesn't show anywhere I look on our account. If I go to https://www.hiltonhhonors.com/MyOffers/ it tells me I'm not signed up for any active offers, it says to "Check the My Eligible Offers tab to see the offers available to you." but that label doesn't exist anywhere. I have a My Available Offers tab but it's only the credit card offer, always, for months now (since we started using the account again). On the plus side it says the 100k points offer is good until Jan 2019 so I'm not in a rush to get the card now as long as that stays on our account.
We signed up for the 2000 points offer that ended 4/30 and that showed in our active offers. So I assumed I'd see the double points one in there too. I want to make sure we'll get double points for our stay this weekend. What am I missing?

I am way behind on reading, so not sure if you figured this out yet. It takes some searching. I couldn't get to it from DH's account either.
