I don't think my staples has them anymore at all. Or the m/c's- I've checked a few times and those slots are empty on the carousel and haven't changed at all. (just the $200 with the fee, they have all the other ones there)Second month in a row neither of the 2 Staples in my area had any $200 Visa GC. I will try next month, if not, I will probably close my CIC because that is the only reason I still have it!
So, do you put one reservation under your name and the other one under P2's, or do you put both reservations (using separate card payments) under one name as eticketplease suggested?
Are they fee free starting today? I didn't see it listed on DOC but that's the only place I looked.Second month in a row neither of the 2 Staples in my area had any $200 Visa GC. I will try next month, if not, I will probably close my CIC because that is the only reason I still have it!
I used her card for both reservations, but put my name on both as the guest -- Chase portal makes it super easy!Nice that you got the $100 twice! Did you have each reservation under separate names or under one name?
So great that you were about to count the $300 annual travel credit towards the hotel reservation.
It’s listed on their site now for today and this weekAre they fee free starting today? I didn't see it listed on DOC but that's the only place I looked.
We do the same and are in Maui now using my FHR for the first night, DHs VX credit for the second, and his FHR credit for the third night. We have always been able to link the reservations. We have not done this with the Edit credit. However, we have done this with FN certs, where one is in my name under my account and the other is in P2s. We are planning to use the same strategy for stays next year with hotel credits from multiple Amex Plats, Citi Strata Elite, and Aspire cards, FN certs etc.
First we make sure that the same type of room is available for the night or two nights that will go under my credit and reservation. Then we make sure the exact same room type (bed, view, floor etc.) is also available for the one or 2 nights that go with P2s credit or reservation. For example, I would want one king size bed available and booked across all 4 nights. I would not want 2 nights booked in a room with a king bed and 2 nights booked in a room with 2 doubles or something. This leaves the opportunity to get notes on the reservation explaining that they should be considered linked and consecutive. Side note, I would not do this for an FHR/Hotel Collection reservation though, and instead just mention it at check in. So, at check in we explain to the front desk that we would like to stay in the same room across all 4 nights. We have had a 100% success rate so far and have never needed to switch rooms. Typically, we are asked to swing by the front desk the morning of check out for the first reservation and get re-keyed for the second reservation so we can get back in the room. It's a minor inconvenience but not a big deal.

Your companion or the "someone else's" companion? Can I book someone else with my Southwest points and then add a companion without me being on the itinerary at all?
This morning I went out to buy some fee free gift cards.Second month in a row neither of the 2 Staples in my area had any $200 Visa GC. I will try next month, if not, I will probably close my CIC because that is the only reason I still have it!
I wanted to see if I could book a flight using my points for my FIL and have that flight show up on his account so he could then add his companion my MIL to the flight?Your companion or the "someone else's" companion?
My husband and I both have companions. Whether we book a ticket on cash, his points, or my points, both of us can add our companions. I have to add mine on my account and he has to add his on his account. Sometimes, the system hiccups when I try to add the second companion (the button to Add Companion disappears for both of us when one companion is added) so I have to call and have the system do it.
So, if you're using your points to book Susie on a ticket, Susie can then go in on her account and add her companion to that flight. If you want to send your companion, the fact that you used your points to book Susie's ticket is irrelevant: you have to fly for your companion to be added.
