I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

DH instant approval for the Amex Aspire (will be nice to have in Hawaii I think) and I was approved for IHG biz. Got the virtual # for the Aspire so that spend will get hit quickly!

Question- can you hold the Marriot Bonvoy Biz and the Chase Bonvoy? We dont need a third new card right now but it was on our list to look at and I wasnt sure

Depends. I like this chart. https://frequentmiler.com/marriott-card-eligible/

Just opened US Bank Biz Checking for $400 Bonus (just missed $500). I put $3000 on my new INK Card. Does that $3000 count towards the $5000 that I need to keep in the account for 60 days? I think it does, but just want to make sure.

Do you need an EIN for the Biz account?

Yes. They called her. Just wanted to make sure it was her that applied. She was approved.

Thanks! No call for DH and the application was over the weekend. Just tried chat to get a status but they said to call.

Yes, it counts, I've done it before.

Just a datapoint to those who got the $50 travel credit on their CSP/CIP recently: I got an email about it for my CSP, but did NOT get the email on CIP. I just used the credit on my CSP for an airport transfer in Asia. After that, I went into my CIP and booked two attractions (a Skydeck in Vietnam and Changi Jewel in Singapore), and another $50 credit showed up for the CIP as well! So even if you didn't get the email, it seems like the $50 credit shows up for both if you hold both cards. Both purchases were under $50 by a few dollars, so I forfeited something like $7 remaining on the credits, but I'm fine with that since it saved me around $90 oop.
Thanks. I never got an email (or I accidentally deleted it without reading). But I see if I go to book through the portal I have a promo credit. I was thinking I was missed.

2 questions:
the ritz cc: can I apply to get the sub of 5 fnc? or do I need a bonvoy to upgrade from? points fr January at swolphin are all over 0k so can't use fnc from marriott.

2nd:
my af for my csr hit on 7/1. so I can pay it now, use my $300 travel credit which should reset now and pc down to csp tog et most of af back?
anything else?
of course hotels and cruise hit this statement before travel credit reset. can i do united tb to get the $300?
i guess 1,25 will be ok vs 1.5 ugh

appreciate the help.

Back from a month long trip to Japan and China. 23 nights in Hyatts lol. My work qualifies for the corporate challenge, so I signed up and now I'm Globalist! DH didn't requalify last year, so I made almost all our reservations legacy guest of honor before it went away. It all worked out very well and now it'll seem like we never lost Globalist. :)

I put up reviews if anyone is interested:
Courtyard Shanghai International Tourism and Resorts Zone
Grand Hyatt Hangzhou
Andaz Xintiandi Shanghai

Hyatt Centric Kanazawa
Fuji Speedway Hotel

My favorite day of the trip was when we went to Katsuoji (Daruma Temple) from Osaka. It was so fun finding all the darumas everywhere. DS didn't really want to go, but even he ended up enjoying it. Too bad the lake was drained though.

I finally transferred my 50th birthday cruise to Chase today. And I'm now on the phone with Chase because the fare dropped. This is the third refare I've requested and the cruise is still 15+ months away!
My January Cruise has changed price a few times too ( I booked 3 rooms all with different Casino deals). Chase has been very good about getting with Carnival and getting me refunds. I now have $500 in OBC to use.

Do you guys just check the cruise line for price drops? I used to find them regularly on cruises we took, but haven't found any lately. Maybe I'm just booking at a good point? DH and I are thinking of booking a long cruise (30-ish days) when we retire, but would definitely have to stalk somewhere for price drops if we book it this far out - cruise would probably be sometime between July and September 2027.

That was one of my fav stops too. I still have my drums, technically I should have filled the other eye in and returned it but I knew that wasn't going to happen. It was fun to do it.

I'm trying to use my citi card promo at Walmart.com and keep getting my orders cancelled. I ordered 2 physical gift cards and some miscellaneous items. Cancelled. Tried an e gift card. Cancelled.
Any advice?

For me last ink was 01/19/25 and last Chase overall was 04/19/25

For DW last ink and Chase was 05/13/25.

On the newest episode of the Miles to Go podcast they said that there was a post on the Travel on Points Facebook with updated Ink terms stating that after October 7, 2025 you will only get support points if you refer someone who is a new Chase business card customer. I haven't found the post they are referring to but I'm going to look. If true it might be good to try now and then again before October 7 but again I don't think this is confirmed as of now.
your stats sound somewhat similar to mine.... prob worth a shot!
