I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

1. You will be able to see the trips in the travel portal under the new Freedom card

2. I believe it's 4 days after PCing -- that's how long I waited.

It's 48 months since earning the URs; you can check your statements online to see when you received the points.
Double (and triple) verifying this.... I have a trip booked on CSP, plan to PC/app next month -those trips remain the same etc? Will I still be able to access them thru the portal if I don't have a CSP at the moment? Will those prebooked trips on my CSP stay on the FR I PC to, or will they migrate to my (hopefully) new CSP? (and my plan is if I get a 'no', to PC a different cc to a CSP ,right? I can't PC back up within 12 months of pc'ing down on same card?)

I PCed my CSR and had hotels booked. I could still access all the bookings on the portal. Someone mentioned that they had upgraded before 12 months but YMMV. You definitely can PC a different card (not cobranded) to a CSP for a plan B.

Rookie Chase q’s but I’m looking to help some fam-
If you refer on CSP and downgrade it before the support posts do you still get the referral? Aside from the 48 month rule do you need to wait after downgrading a CSP or can you apply again right away?

Not sure about your first question, but current recommendation is to wait 4 days after downgrading before re-applying.

I check SWA flight prices every single day and they randomly drop. Their sales usually run Tue-Thu but I will see a drop on other days too. Wish I knew the pattern but I just double check all my booked flights every day to be safe. Have saved a ton of points by doing this.
I check often too. Since SW has changed to variable award pricing, I've seen that the $USD price and RR points don't necessary match anymore, so I check both dollars and points pricing. One time I saved 1500 points, another time 500 points, even if the flight $USD price went up.

After 5/28/25 when more changes kick in, I'm a bit confused about what will happen to the $5.60 taxes/fees if I cancel a booked flight. With a WGA or WGA+ cash fare, you lose the $5.60 (6 mo. WGA/12 mo. WGA+ from original booking) since it's just rolled into the total cash fare. But I'm hoping that for award bookings the $5.60 can still be refunded to original form of payment. Is that how the changes are interpreted by others?

Thought on r/churning is that if it's pending when you downgrade, you'll still get the support. If not, then it's a bit unknown. Usually goes pending on a Tuesday. So if your support gets used today, maybe it'd go pending 5/6 and you still have enough time to wait the 4 days after PC before the offer expires. But if it doesn't until 5/13, then maybe it's too late.

In 2021 I was able to PC down and then back up the same sapphire card within about a 90 day timeframe. I have heard others say 12 months, but that was not my experience in 2021 and people were saying that in 2021 as well.

Again,I'll be cutting it really close here (as noted up thread somewhere) my actual date might not be till the 24th- I'm considering app'ing on the 12th and hoping for the best, possible if it's too soon (by that few days I could call recon and still be considered under the line(?) my actual purchase date I hit MSR was either 5-1 or 5-11 can't figure out if the AF is counted in there for that....so looking at this written out I'd say the 11th should be ok? (of course this means I need to PC my current down pretty soon)

It's been a while since I did that but yes, it would still post to the card. In fact, the link would continue to post to the account after downgrade, for as long as the link was active. But that was even longer ago that I had first hand experience with that one, not confident on it anymore.

I may be trying out pt 1 myself. I referred last week and points aren't pending yet, but I had wanted to PC down before the AF hits next week. So I may give it until Wednesday to see if I get a quick pending and then decide if I be a DP or play it safe.

Still want to give a buffer after downgrade before applying again. I think the 4 days is still safest. Might be able to do as little as 2 days, but better to plan for 4 if you can

Traveler problem. I think we need to be stalking flights while in the middle of an upcoming trip. Anyone have any suggestions, or maybe a recommendation for a service who can book it for us?

Also, when AF drops flights now they seem to asking for a ridiculous number of points. Anyone have any DPs as to when they drop the number required to book? This game is getting harder and I could use some advice.

Returned earlier this week from a beach resort vacation with the kids, 11 and 15. Guess what? They're THAT age. They barely wanna leave the room and if that, it's an hour at the pool, probably two max and then they are ready to head back to the room. They want nothing to do with the beach. I was so frustrated this trip. DH totally understands the frustration, but he also made the comment that they love the hotel, they love the vibe and they're having a great time. It's just their idea of a good time involves A LOT of in-room time.
We still had a good time but I think I will cool it on travel with them for a bit. Anyone else experiencing this age?

I'd be the same way if the vacation was just the resort. I don't want to spend that much time at the pool or on the beach which is why I don't vacation that way.

Did you do other things they were interested in? You might not need to travel less just other places. Ask them what they want to do or where they want to go with the caveat that they can't spend all day in the room. Ask if they'd rather stay home where they can hang out and not do anything.

Oof! Am I ever. Glad to know I’m not alone. Our last amazing Hyatt redemption (before they nerfed Destination Residences) was 6 months ago at Kukui’ula Villages on Kauai. My 15yr old daughter barely wanted to leave her room, and my 17yr old son “endured” the trip. Now my daughter tells me it was the best vacation we’ve ever taken. Big sigh…they say the teen years are challenging, but until a person lives it, I say you have no idea. And I have great kids 😂

My 15 year old daughter is very self conscious about her body so I know a beach vacation where she’d be expected to wear a swimsuit is just not a right fit.

We just went to Montreal for spring break with her and our 13 year old daughter. Spent the entire time out visiting the sites and walking around - no problems.

We’re going to Japan for 3 weeks this summer. They are super excited for that.

Been there done that... :rolleyes1 You tend to get used to it- mine always liked to travel with us,until one of them didn't. And while they were teens, I never knew if it was good or bad time for them.:rotfl2: One of mine in particular was like this- I just gave up eventually and we enjoyed ourselves and just did our thing while he moped- then he decided that traveling with us was his biggest burden so we started leaving him home at about 17...(which he then told other people we abandoned him lol) and then he grew up and we had some more fun vacations together!

We just used URs to book Cabana Bay next weekend. I’m hoping we can buy preview tickets for Epic Universe when we get there
We have preview tickets for the 6th. Pulling DS from school for the day (it was one of the cheapest days) we are all super excited! I paid myself back for my CSR AF to cover the cost of the tix.

We can’t buy ours until we show up to the hotel. I’m hoping it doesn’t sell out. I wanted to go during the week but dh can’t take work off.
