I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

Not in a long time.

Did you check the "Added offers" link?
In the past it would sometimes hide there instead of the main page.

Also is it possible that it was added to a different Chase card that you are currently looking at?

OK, maybe I'm delusional, but I just went back in and it's there. I swear I even double checked by putting them in A-Z order and everything. Oh well, I'm just glad it's back. I've already made my charge!

New England/Canada (Newport, Boston, Portland, Saint John, Halifax) round trip out of NYC. I grew up in CT and my mom took me to Newport several times--I love the mansions! I honestly don't know how much more travel she has in her (although she loves it) so I'm really glad she was willing to go with me.

We are doing this same cruise on the Enchanted Princess the last week of October. I think it's the last week before that ship heads down south. We've sailed on the Enchanted Princess out of Ft Lauderdale and loved it.

I've never been to any of these ports (other than NYC), so I'm super excited and need to start planning our port days!

FYI for Southwest points users, they're having a big sale right now, so check your flights to see if they've dropped in points! I just got about 20,000 points back in my RR account for my summer flights.
I check SWA flight prices every single day and they randomly drop. Their sales usually run Tue-Thu but I will see a drop on other days too. Wish I knew the pattern but I just double check all my booked flights every day to be safe. Have saved a ton of points by doing this.

@ten6mom
If it's your Chase Anniversary Free Night, when you go to book it should be telling you if that rate is available or not, if it's the rate type selected. Sometimes it will say "no anniversary free nights available; lowest rate show."

You can call in for help booking. Both the app and website feel real glitchy for me and I can't seem to do a dummy booking at all with my FNC in the couple places I've tried.

I would like DD to get a CSP and the Barclays AAdvantage Red card while both have their elevated offers. Currently she is 0/24 and these are the cards she has.

SW Priority 2/23
AMEX Gold 3/23
CIC 4/23
AMEX Business Platinum 2/24
CIP 8/24
AMEX BBP 9/24
AMEX Business Gold 10/24

If she applies for the CSP first how long should she wait to apply for the AA Red? Is there any downside to applying for both at the same time? I am assuming that she should apply for the CSP first and then apply for the AA Red if she does them both on the same day. Thanks for any thoughts.

Chase and Barclays don't pull the same credit report agency for me. So I wouldn't worry about doing them on the day or what order. One would not know about the other. If they did pull the same, Barclays is thought to be moderately inquiry sensitive, but Chase is not.

I scheduled my excursions for Newport, Boston, and Halifax last night. And I bet the foliage will be beautiful when you sail. I needed to go earlier so my mom doesn't freeze. I also have Enchanted Princess booked for next November for the Mediterranean for my 50th so I'm excited to preview it.

I do the same thing…checking in the morning and at night, I haven’t been able to figure out a pattern either. Checked all of mine last night no changes, this morning one flight in August dropped 500 points 🤷🏼‍♀️

How would they know if these were recurring or just one-off payments you made 1x per month for 3 months? I think I will just make sure I pay some amount to my utilities/phone etc. from my Hyatt for the three month period and hope for the best, rather than changing my auto pays. What's annoying is that my gym membership is on my hyatt card, but since its a community center as well as a gym, it shows up as a charitable contribution instead of a fitness membership :headache:

@wanderlust7 was musing about this same question and stated that it says (on her transactions?) 'this is a repeating charge'.

Now whether it would be picked up on, I don't know, but it's pretty easy for me to do May, June and July. I'd do April but all 3 of my bills are already paid. This is one of the few opportunities this card has offered that I've qualified for so that's another motivation for me.

SO when the 'change' happens this will likely go the way of the dodo? Points changing/change flights? Both my upcoming flights went up with this sale lol

I don’t think it will impact flights booked on points. You can still rebook and get a refund of points.

The bigger impact will be on paid flights that are nonrefundable because credits will expire in either 6 or 12 months. I think the best strategy will be to cancel rather than modify these flights to extend the expiration date of the flight credit. I think the expiration date would go back to the date of booking for the decrease if you modify.

Going to take some getting used to but this game always changes.

No, it will be greatly reduced for cash flights, just like it is currently for the legacies. Nothing changes for points flights unless you're booking basic.

To get a 6 month from booking expiration, it would have to be a basic fare, which is not changeable, you'd have to cancel to get the credit at all.
I don't see how you get that cancelling vs modifying would change the expiration of the flight credit? Whether you modify or cancel, the expiration for WGA+ is still 12 months from the date of original booking.

I could be mistaken but I thought the expiration date would be the date the flight was cancelled, not originally booked? Agree it doesn’t matter if it goes back to booking date anyway.

If you book points on basic, can’t you just cancel and get a refund of points and then book basic again at the reduced fare?

You have to cancel and book again, there is no option to change a basic fare. A basic points fare with EBCI, or seat assignment, or anything else, the ancillary fees would be lost and have to be repurchased for the new flight. That is the only real change with points flights.

I've gotten these before with Chase but it usually just a statement credit and after spending xx amount in xx transactions.
I would just make xx payments for the specified amount on the same day and it would credit.

The recurring stipulation must be new.

Did those offers have language about "recurring online bill payments"?

Some discussion about how they might be able to tell here. But it seems the manual payments might work. I've already changed my autopays. Would rather not chance it, plus the spend will go towards elite nights anyways.

Thank you both for the insight. @wanderlust7 - there was one DP on the reddit page that three individual payments (not set up as autopay) worked for the last round of a similar offer, but your point is well taken - spend that gets me closer to elite nights is always valuable!

Working on SUB for US Bank Triple Cash Biz. I have a payment to make for renting DVC Points. Can pay by Paypal. Will this count towards the SUB if I don't pick "Friends and Family" and pay the CC Fee?

For the US Bank Triple Cash bonus, is there any way to redeem in increments that AREN'T $25. For example, what if I have $6... do I need to spend to get it up to 25, or is there any rewards that you can use different amounts for, like maybe spending through Amazon?
I'm working on MSR for CSP now, so I really don't want to have to spend another $1000 or more on the USB card just to get it to a $25 increment...

Yes, I've cleared out amounts less than $25 with Amazon Shop with Points.

I keep one card with a small number of points though for the occasional Shop with Points deal.
