I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

Mine was around the cash equivalent of a 70K SUB, but I also have kept good records and thought the same as you: I would have noticed such a huge mistake.

I found a similar discussion thread on Flyer Talk from 2015. Several people reported receiving large checks. At least one person there deposited the check. They did not report back whether it was fraudulent or not.
Wow, I would be hesitant to cash a check if I thought it was sent in error. It may not be fraudulent, but Chase may realize its error at some point. Not sure what they would do.

I also received 2 checks, one for a closed CIC and one from a closed CSP. The amounts match-ish what the SUBs would have been, cashed out at 1 cent per point, about $900 and $1000. I also feel like we keep fairly good records and I think I would have noticed these missing points, but perhaps not?
If anyone can link to a reddit post on this, I'd appreciate it.
I dont have a reddit thread since Im not on reddit, but I saw posts in 10x travel, and travel on points FB groups

Just double checked one post and the poster said they called Chase and Chase said it was legit but Chase couldn't tell them why check was sent. Still super fishy though.

Another person said they took it to a branch and the branch said 50/50 chance its real and advised not to cash it. SO crazy to me
Whoever has received the checks can you see the banks name that issued the checks. It should be on their if it is drawn on Chase the tellers should be able to lookup the account number to determine if there is sufficient funds to cover the check.

Yeah you would think so but this person was told yeah we aren't sure if this is a real check or not.

DOC has a post on it now which has a Reddit link https://www.doctorofcredit.com/chas...wards/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=facebook

That location can get crazy if you don’t time it right but I like the underground parking and it beats driving to Springfield.
On Sunday morning I was able to get the free street parking on King directly across from the hotel. (It's normally pay parking, where you put your credit card in the machine a few spots down). Didn't know you were so close! I also noticed the Bob and Edith's diner right next door which supplied some nostalgia from many years ago as a friend and I used to go to the one on Columbia Pike after hours back when I actually enjoyed having a night life, lol! Can't eat like that anymore!

edit: just realized you were referencing the TJ's. Sunday was a mess at TJ's. There was parking but it was slow getting in. I almost always park inside, but when I used to drive my oversized van I had to always find street parking.

The reddit linked on the DoC site is the only other info I could find too. A few of ours are for amounts that would end up to be the entire MSR amount and I feel like I really keep track of those so how could I miss them. I think I'm going to just wait a few days to see if anything else comes up about them. They look legit and others have said they have cashed them.

And now I see I last got the bonus points for CSP on my 5.24.21 statement.... does this mean I could app after 5.24.25?
Just double checking....I have to wait till at least 5/25/25 to app, right? and I also need to PC CSP to og FR.... can it be PC'd back up if needed,or do I need to keep it that way for a year?

Did anyone get one for a CIU? I've closed a few CIU's and have one of those plus my CIC. Also closed a few Disney cards.

Didn't get any checks but not worried as I'm quite confident I have no outstanding points on the table.

If I did get one I'd consider it a liability that Chase would take back especially as it is being discussed on the net.

Plus people calling Chase? Somebody pushed the wrong button somewhere.

I would wait until after 5/25/25 to apply. Yes need to PC the CSP to a freedom card….not sure how soon Chase would let you PC back up

No checks for myself or DH. I definitely keep close track of our URs and we aren’t missing any for SUB or times when we have used each others support links.

I wonder if part of it could be when someone gives the wrong referral link and it posted to an old card. I've also seen where people have had to cancel cards due to an af when they haven't gotten points for one or something. That's the only thing I can think of that someone would have stopped tracking/given up on. Or when a link is used but doesn't actually track, maybe they were found.

Like others I have gotten all my points so don't anticipate getting anything but would be wary of it being correct.

No Chase checks for me...

I'm fortunate I'm close enough that I can walk to the Old Town TJ. (I do have a granny cart!) Hate that garage!

I am going to apply for another CIP -- have a large expense due on May 1st that will more that meet the SUB. Yesterday I lowered CLs on my new CSR and a CFU. The SMs said the lower CLs were effective immediately; will be okay to apply today? I have 2 open Ink cards, so it's risky, but worth it since I don't covet any other Chase cards ATM.

Are y'all booking WGA Plus with SW if using cash/flight credits in case you have to cancel after the changes take effect? I'm making tentative plans for Thanksgiving (not sure if we want to travel then) and am using credits that are currently non-expiring.

As long as you book before 5/28, they will remain non expiring and changeable. You would just have to hold on wherever those flights are as of 5/27 to keep the cancellation and non-expiring even on a base fare.

If you see a price drop after 5/28 that you want to take advantage of, you want to change the time, etc, that's when the change would push the ticket into the new rules.

Returned from Paris and Amsterdam late Saturday afternoon. Woke up Sunday with a sore throat and by yesterday I was sick as a dog (cold/flu). This makes 3 of the last 4 trips I've returned sick from .

Paris was amazing -- I was lucky enough to get a ticket to enter Notre Dame Cathedral on my second day (tickets are free and are released 2 days in advance -- I got on my first try, which was very lucky). I arrived around 10:45am and there was already a huge line for people w/o tickets -- those with tickets just walked in. Anyone who is visiting Paris, I highly recommend visiting ND -- the inside is stunning (work on the exterior is ongoing). Glad my entry time was early because it was shoulder-to-shoulder inside. I always enjoy strolling around Saint-Germain-des-Pres and the Marais. This visit I also went to Luxembourg Gardens and decided I should head to the area of the Eiffel Tower (haven't been since 2012) for a photo op -- omgosh the entire area around the Eiffel Tower was jam packed. I won't be going back for a long while. I asked the concierge at the Grand Hotel du Palais Royal for a few restaurant recommendations and enjoyed several nice dinners. I also went to the Bastille Market, which was amazing. It's where locals shop for their meals for the week. I'm already planning my trip to Paris next year.

Took the Eurostar from Paris to Amsterdam (3h26m). The train was full, not a single empty seat in 1st class. I had decided that I would take a taxi to my hotel in Amsterdam, but had forgotten that the taxi stand was behind the train station, so ended up taking the tram, then walking 10 mins to my hotel.

I booked the Pulitzer Amsterdam through AmEx FHR with a stay 5 pay for 4 promo. I'm not sure I'd stay there again -- room was fine, bed was very comfortable, but there were a few service hiccups; it is also the hotel Viking Cruises uses, so 3 of the 5 days there were several large groups of people milling about, lines for the front desk, concierge, in the dining room, etc. I prefer boutique hotels and the Pulitzer, with over 200 rooms, definitely isn't boutique. Pics below.

I rented a bike from my hotel for 2 of my days and had a blast! The first day I biked to the train station, then took the (free) ferry to Noord, where I followed a bike path for 15 miles before heading back to Amsterdam. The second day I decided to head to a large park where there are 400 cherry trees that were in full bloom. This was a much longer ride than I anticipated because 1 of the paths that I needed to use was closed and finding an alternate route on Google maps wasn't working; I tried to go left and around, no dice, then went right, no dice. Finally I went into the Olympic Hotel where the lovely front desk staff showed me an alternate route. However once I got to the park I couldn't find the area where the cherry blossoms were; I asked a local man and he sent me to Amstelveen, 3 miles each direction out of the way. I finally decided to give it one last try and saw a sign for Bloempark, which is where the cherry trees were. This day I cycled 26 miles. Next time I'm in Amsterdam I'll rent a bike every day -- I LOVE biking there -- the bike lanes and stoplights for cyclists makes biking so easy.
