You'll just be out $5.60 per person every time, since they won't refund the TSA tax.
Maybe someone will sue them on that since it's not their money.

Won’t necessarily be out the $5.60, as it will be a flight credit that will expire in either 6 or 12 months. You'll just be out $5.60 per person every time, since they won't refund the TSA tax.
Right, *possibly* out. And I was thinking more about the 6 month basic faresWon’t necessarily be out the $5.60, as it will be a flight credit that will expire in either 6 or 12 months.
Update. As many of you know, p2 has some weird thing with Chase. A couple years ago they didn't like his social and made us verify it and jump through hoops, and said it didn't match their records. So he has multiple online accounts with Chase. All his recent approvals have gone into the newer profiles, and not the one we have had for over 20 years. The new profile has 3 open biz cards that I can't cancel yet.Shoot last week p2 had green star offers for Ink cards. Now they are gone and we need a new card. Dang it![]()
AmEx offer for Carnival Cruise Line
Spend $750 or more, get $150
Expires 7/24/2025
Valid for online/TA purchases from 3/10/2025 and 7/24/2025.
I've never taken a Carnival so I'll leave for some experts to chime in on what counts. It's intended for reservation payments.
I know for NCL anything that you can pay for through the website generally counts, such as prepaid gratuities, shore ex, gifts, OBC, etc. I don't recall if Carnival had similar options work.
Is green star offer a pre approved offer?Update. As many of you know, p2 has some weird thing with Chase. The green star offers were no longer in his original profile, but I was able to click through a few things and find a way to apply for a CIP by loggin in, so that it had his original profile info ( that only has one older open biz card). Instant approval! I did the CIP since I won't get any support ( I couldn't find a way to log in to apply with a support link, which is what I knew I would have to do to get any chance at approval).
Whew, now I can't stop thinking about new cards for a couple months (or so I say now LOL)
they say they are. I have never used one, but they say something like that when you see them.Is green star offer a pre approved offer?
Thanks! Still debating if dealing with Chases approval process is worth another ink for DH. He doesnt mind doing the credit card thing but he really dislikes getting on phone calls. And this last time they really grilled me so I know he wont like that.they say they are. I have never used one, but they say something like that when you see them.

Thanks, that's what I thought as well! I feel like they can't just keep TSA's money, but who knowsOnly Business Select and Anytime will get the flight credit for taxes (expires in 12 months). WGA+ and Basic, the taxes are just lost. At least that's what it reads like in the fine print of the e-mail.
Congrats…sounds like having the 2 log ins is working in your favorUpdate. As many of you know, p2 has some weird thing with Chase. and this one is linked to my account, so I can transfer the URs to my main account. The other profile is on it's own, so I can't transfer those.Congrats…sounds like having the 2 log ins is working in your favor
Do you have another CUR card? If so have DH call (might work through Secure Message) and ask them to transfer to a card that is not listed on DH's other profile as one you can transfer to.and this one is linked to my account, so I can transfer the URs to my main account. He hates to call, so I will just eventually cash those UR's out. I also don't want them to ask for any more verification on his accounts, as I have no idea what they are seeing with his social.Do you have another CUR card? I am trying to remember. I think in the past that I bought Gift Cards on the Carnival Site and that worked and I was credited. I may have to try that again (if I have the offer). My January Cruise is paid for with UR's. Just returned on a cruise and gambled enough that they offered me a Free Cruise for 2 with Balcony and Drink Package for 2. So, I mean - I have to use that. Plus I didn't even lose $$ in the casino. Came home with $1500 more!! Win Win!IIRC, Carnival processes 'extras' differently so these offers don't work on drinks packages, excursions etc. Should work on initial reservation and paying down your reservation balance.
Thanks! I knew there was at least one line that only really worked for reservation payments, just couldn't remember which one.IIRC, Carnival processes 'extras' differently so these offers don't work on drinks packages, excursions etc. Should work on initial reservation and paying down your reservation balance.
Oh wow, I missed that. I thought I saw that basic get a a 6 month flight credit. Either way, I am going to have to change my ways to be much more selective before I book. Right now, I just book it if I even think it could be a possibility because the entire amount is refundable via points or flight credit.Only Business Select and Anytime will get the flight credit for taxes (expires in 12 months).
