I love credit cards so much! v7.0 - 2025 (see first page for add'l details)

Im not sure why DOC made it a riddle. I think it's tied to the app Fluz. (I will edit and delete this if its needed, but unsure why it would need to be not talked about)
Reading on r/churning where I got the link it seems to be from heavy hitters on it not everyone that has used the site.

It seems the site is useful for MS and it's still OK with other banks just not amex so that's probably the reason for the riddle. Comments there and churning are mostly if you don't know about it then you don't have to worry about it or I'm not saying because it's still working with other banks cards.

I'm interested in the Disney Visa since a $400 SUB isn't half bad, and getting the ability to float Disney purchases for 6-months at 0% APR isn't a terrible perk. Can anyone tell me--do I only get the 10% off dining and merchandise if I pay with the Chase Visa? Can I flash my Disney Debit and then pay with a different credit card? Paying with the debit for 10% off is still OK but I'd rather put it on a CC. Perhaps a better question is, what discounts does the Disney Visa provide that my DVC membership does not? Is it just the 10% off dining?

Even though I heavily churn, I'm not too concerned with optimizing my daily organic spend. I usually just throw everything on my Chase Sapphire Preferred while I churn cards via my reselling side-business. I'm considering just tossing all my daily expenses on the Disney Visa for organizational sake, plus it'll be cool to have a separate "bucket" of Disney savings earmarked, despite knowing that yes I could be better off if I used a 2% anywhere card.

That being said, not sure I want to burn a 5/24 slot on the card. I'm at 5/24 now, with a drop off coming in April and June. My next drop off beyond that won't be until June 2026. This gives me room to open 1 more personal card and still stay under 5/24 (so I can still get Chase Business cards). However, a part of me has been eyeing up the elevated Marriot Boundless offer (Swan/Dolphin stays, plus I want to PC to a Ritz card after a year). Also I think it would be smarter to burn a personal slot on the Resy Platinum offer of 100k MR + 15x Dining (although with the Fluz shutdowns going on, maybe throwing $25k into "dining" isn't the best idea right now).

Ive only had to show I have the Disney Visa in the parks not actually use it. I try to charge back to my room and/or pay with a GC.

The 0% can be tricky to get, I did not get it on a $5500 stay even though I was told I would by the agent on the phone who booked our cash stay. It has to be a specific type of "package"

Getting ready to book an NCL cruise - I have the $200 back wys $1000 on both of our AmEx cards. I usually book through Costco and they don't accept AmEx (even on cruises - I called and asked).

I guess there's no workaround to be able to book through them and also use the $200 deals? I'll probably just book through NCL to get the credits, but Costco has a promotion going on right now to get free bingo, spa credits, casino credits, a picture package and a few other small things when booking through them. Still not worth the extra $400 total back, but would love both lol!
Where are you headed? I've been scouring Alaskan cruises all extended weekeend and am thinking Princess for Alaska (on a very small ship mind you). We haven't sailed on NCL yet, but they have my interest...

Ok--that's what I figured (that the discount is made at the register by the employee, and isn't a statement credit from Chase that requires you to make the purchase on the card)

And that's what I also hear about the 0%. Sounds like for sure, DVC direct purchases and DVC fees can be 0%, but I'm someone who pays for my DVC dues with discounted GCs, so kind of moot if I can't pay for a cash stay and float the cash.

We ended up booking a Bermuda Cruise out of NYC - we've never done one before and people seem to love them! I ended up booking directly with NCL to use the AmEx credits, so I'm losing out on Costco benefits. I got a good deal on it in the end - they have a promotion called Cruise First where you can buy a $500 credit for $250. I don't know all of the ins-and-outs on it, but we could buy one for each of our cabins to save an extra $250 per cabin. So, that with the $200 (times two cards) from AmEx was well worth it to me.

Also, should have mentioned that we did Alaska on Princess - it was the Discovery Princess though, so not a small ship necessarily. They are one of my favorite cruise lines - I love the medallion access!

We used BA Avios (from Amex MRs) to book on JAL. You can book JAL through AA for fewer points, but they open up the flights a few weeks after BA does and it was hard enough to find something we could use through BA.

I think ANA only releases one or 2 seats in J. We booked ours on JAL via BA and AA.
Look at flying out of DFW or ORD. BA will releases 2 J seats, then a few days later will release another 2.

Thanks! I will look into JAL. I also have 43,728 AA miles from a SUB many many years ago. Would be nice to use them if I could.

I think it depends on the cast member in terms of flashing the card for the discount. I've been denied the discount unless I actually used the Disney card or a redemption card. The merchandise discount is only on $50+ purchases, and the dining discount is only at certain locations.

Your DVC discount on dining is 10% too so I would use that, I have opened a Disney card for P2 but he was at 1/24…..probably wouldn’t at 4/24

We did Princess to Alaska last August on the Majestic Princess. Big ship. Did not enjoy it at all. Disappointed in the quality of food for sure. Felt like other than Bingo, there wasn't much to do on sea days (which there were too many of).

has anyone here tried to book a stay at evermore? Can you use Hilton points? I was looking radnomly for cash rates and there's not one night that's available for 2 years....?

Thoughts on the current CapOne Venture deal? 75,000 points plus $250 travel credit.

Has anyone successfully gotten an instant card number in the app?

Dd started her first full time job Monday—yippee. Was approved for a Freedom Flex yesterday. She moves out in a few weeks (about 10 minutes away). I’m helping her furnish her apartment which is fun. On my end, I haven’t had a new card in a long time and I’m either at 0/24 or 1/24. I did just cancel a ciu and have only two ink cards so I’ll probably apply for a new one in March. Trying to accumulate URs for a cruise for my 50th birthday.

Looks like it has a 2 night minimum. I see standard room awards for the 2 bedroom villa, garden view at 135k points. Errors out when I try to book it though.
