The MCP app lists all the airports that have it. I used it last Thursday from St Lucia in MIA. The line was a bit longer than GE but MUCH shorter than the regular line. I filled the info out and saved it before the flight and after landing submitted and took our photos as per the instructions. Some people in line had a QR code but I didn’t. I asked the guard and he said it was new not to have a code but he wasn’t sure. There were no problems not having a code. Very easy process.
this is just for the airport you fly into correct? He is flying into Atlanta, which is on the website.

Yes - if it is one of the airports listed you fill out your details which can be done before arrival, then upon arrival at the terminal you submit the form.

That said, I arrived into Atlanta last month and had filled out the MPC, but when I got to immigration they had closed the MPC line and had to join the regular line which had about 300 people in it. Took about 40 minutes to get through which was less than I feared when I saw the length of the line.

I need a 0% interest biz card that isn't INK (I'm at 5/24 until August). I was thinking I would just use my last INK I got in January as that should still have 0% until next January, but then I thought I'd rather get a SUB on a large purchase. Had some huge vet bills last month so would rather float the new charge for a few months. Any recommendations?

I was thinking DH could refer me for an Amex Blue Biz Plus and I'd earn 30K MRs (plus DH's referral bonus). But I'd lock myself out of earning a higher SUB on that card later on. When DH got his last year he got 75K MR from a targeted offer!

Was also looking at U.S. Bank Biz Triple Cash, there's a $500 SUB so that would be nice. Don't have a relationship with them, though.

DoC has a link for $600 SUB on the USB biz Triple Cash. Link

DH was approved for the Leverage biz with no relationship. We're in footprint. Though I think even if you're not, approval odds are still good if number of inquiries is low. They pull TU for most people.

thank you! Sounds like it's a good thing his layover is almost 3 hours.

What do you mean? I'm paranoid also 🤣 but I don't follow this.
I have ~5 cards that I don't use but I keep them open because of their age I literally only use them for amazon recharges. I used to do 1$ now I guess I have to do 5. The funny thing is over the last 2 years I've had 2 closed my credit score hasn't really changed. Maybe I care too much :)

Got 7-10 day message. Hopefully just need to verify it's me...

How is everyone using the annual $300 travel credit through Capital One Venture X?
I found it very hard to use and finally cancelled the Venture X because it was too hard for me to use. I found the portal very limited on rental cars and the hotels seemed marked up.
Just thought I’d share some pics of GTNP/YNP from this past week. It snowed 6” one day 😱 We were fortunate to see 4 bears, including a grizzly eating a bison carcass, with 3 coyotes circling, a mama black bear with her cubs, and a moose right in the middle of our trailhead! Even though the weather was chilly, I would 100% go again this time of year. Once you started hiking, you’d warm up. Crowds were low and it made for a very enjoyable trip!!
Beautiful photography. You're super talented. Thanks for sharing.

I have a mini trip in the works--bought tickets to see the Bears at Soldier Field in December with DS. I'm thinking I'll use the Hyatt Regency McCormick place (I have some points sitting in Hyatt). Then I will just need to pick up plane tickets (probably United becasue SW doesn't have great options).

SO I'll be traveling domestically with my GE next week, I already went online and applied the # to my flight accts- I plan to carry the card with me but from what I read, supposedly I don't need the actual card?

Oh SW…. Changed my Sept flight from departing at 10am to departing at 6 am. Too early for me to start vacation! No other great options. Have to pick from the best of the worst . I hate when I have the perfect flights and they get changed.

But in good news, my Dec flights to California went down in price and got back 6000 points.

You don’t need the card domestically or for international flights. Only for land crossings.

I’ve had GE for about a year. Put that in my KTN and get precheck for all my flights.

Have a good trip.

I had one change too. Originally departing at 7:55pm so we could leave after work and get settled in to wake up in NYC and they changed it to 6:50pm. To get to the airport on time, we'll have to take off work a bit early which is the whole point of taking the last flight. I'm sure we'll go ahead and do it, just frustrating a bit!

Sounds fun! I think you’re aware there’s not a lot around McCormick Place to walk to. Remember to pack warm clothes and extra socks and have great time!

Does anyone have any tips for lounge access at JFK?

We're flying out of Terminal 8 and we don't have any status with the airline. So our options are Centurion or Priority Pass lounges in another terminal. But because JFK doesn't let you move between terminals airside, I'm wondering if it's worth the hassle.

Really didn't expect bad weather in Texas to affect my flight home from Montreal. Flying air canada to Seattle but the plane is coming from houston...

At least I've already cleared customs.
Every time I fly through Houston I get nervous. When we went to Yellowstone, we connected there both ways, and had no issue. But there was a big storm the day after we departed that wreaked havoc, and then the storms started up again 2 days after we returned. I feel like DFW/IAH is always risky. I continue to monitor our flights in October that are again scheduled to connect through TX, to see if maybe we can switch them around to connect through someplace else.

I will find connections elsewhere before I fly through tx, though a lot of that is also because from Seattle it makes little sense for most places. I had no idea AC flew down there. One of the tour guides this week mentioned the aerospace industry here so I'm guessing that's why there's one non stop between the two. Unless there's that many people cruising out of Galveston from here.
