I feel as if I was. The offending pedicurist sanded down my heels and it was difficult to walk as I was used to my seasoned (and soft) calluses. Toes yes, heels never again.
Yeah—I have bad calluses from spending a lot of time on the stairmaster. Thankfully my heals aren’t the problem but seriously I want a pain free pedicure next time!

Thankfully mine aren't bad, but I never let them do more than the pumice stone. I've earned that stuff running or walking a ton on vacay and need them to avoid blisters. No way you are going near my feet with one of those graters.

Has anyone every tried with Families Fly Free program? The ideas is teaching a kind of "system" to get points from credit cards, sounds like focusing mainly on Southwest and their companion pass. Or, if anyone can help me understand how to keep the SW Companion Pass if you don't regularly fly or spend that much?

You are allowed to say the name! We always love a bank that does cc funding without cash advance fees around here!

You just are not allowed to post support links that would give you a bonus if anyone were to sign up under an “send a link to a friend” type offer. (Those can be posted on our DISchurners Reddit.)
I forgot to respond to this yesterday! It is U.S. Bank that let me use my credit card. The public SUB I saw is $400, but I have a cc with them and had a $500 SUB offer.

I play in that pool! Altitude Connect? I'm jealous, I went for the offer when it was just $400 lol. Looks like the public sub on that has been upped to $500 as well now for anyone who didn't jump too soon like I did.

Do you have an Altitude Reserve? I love my AR! One of my older churning cards that I ended up keeping. (Got retention offers on it for a couple years and then decided I was keeping it). I like the 3% back on mobile payments and 1.5x redemptions via RTR!

I do get annoyed by my personal no buying gift cards with us bank cards rule lol. Some people got whacked by USBank for that and if they drop the ax you're out, no reconsideration with them, so I don't want to risk it.

Do you mind sharing your plans? I’m having a hard time making decisions. You are going soon right?

we land early sunday morning from the US, our guests land mid morning from Hungary. I'm thinking train to DLP. We're sending 2 nights in club room at Sequoia. Hoping to arrange for character meals. We'll be tired but hope to get to the parks for most of the day. The boys (who've never been outside Hungary) will also enjoy time at the pool. Monday parks, check out tuesday but spend time in parks.

then the train to the arc de triumphe station. staying at the Hilton (2 rooms, 4 nights, all on points!). Planning on the usual, Louvre, Eifell Tower. possibly the catacombs. open to suggetions. would love to find a chocolate factory. the boys will be 10 and 11, their mom (our former nanny), my son (28) and myself. is it easy worth it to go to Versailles? Monet's gardens? Monika is an artist so she'd love to see some of that. our hotel rooms at hilton are for 2 perrson each, to do the 3 doubled the points. hoping for a roll away, or as diamond an upgrade!

540 flight tomorrow morning. Flying with the puppy. So excited to see my daughter and parents.

decided to tread myself to a pedicure. I probably haven’t had one since I was 16. I swear I’m being tortured.
I love getting pedis! One of BFFs’s daughter works in a salon and does them. Free wine doesn’t hurt :)

I have the Platinum. It was a zero interest card I got several years ago when I was carrying a balance - before I started this hobby. I have not carried a balance since I paid that one off. I just checked out the Altitude Reserve and that looks like a pretty good card to have. I may consider that one if the SUB goes up. It's only 50,000 right now.

Versailles - I looked at tons of tours, but in the end we just went on our own and I would do it the same way again. Just took the train there from Paris and it didn't take long. When you get off, it's a walk to Versailles, but not a bad one. We got there when they opened and there wasn't much of a line. When we left the lines were very long. It's really worth a visit, IMHO.

Here's a recommendation from SouthFayetteFan on pacing, which answer's your question regarding Chase applications: https://www.disboards.com/threads/i...t-page-for-addl-details.3729982/post-61161429

Many here apply for biz cards, even if you have just a small side hustle, like selling things on eBay or Facebook marketplace, etc. If you are already 3/24 and can see yourself really getting involved in CCs, this is something you will want to consider. Especially in one-player mode, as it will extend your ability to open cards while staying under 5/24, if you so desire.

Amex cards are easy to get approved for and the space between a Chase application and Amex application isn't an issue. Personal cards will count towards your 5/24 count. Biz cards will not.

VentureX (Capital One) has been getting a lot of attention lately and has a new sign up bonus with a smaller SUB.
Thanks very much! lots to think about.

You can get the SW Companion Pass by opening SW credit cards. With the current bonuses, you can do it with 2 SW business cards or the SW Performance biz card plus any personal card.

Any SW card can support to any other SW card and the support bonus is 20k, so that may factor into your strategy as well. You can't support yourself, so it would have to be a spouse, family member, or friend, etc.

You may not think you qualify for a business card, but many side gigs can count. Resale is a popular category here. You would apply as a sole proprietor and use your name as the business name.

Since these are Chase card, you need to be under 5/24 to qualify - you can't have 5 or more new cards on your personal credit report in the last 24 months. Most store cards count and so do authorized user cards (though you might be able to get around that in recon).

Recommendation is to space your Chase cards at least 3 months apart, but is not a hard rule and depends on if you've gotten other Chase cards recently.

I agree with Wanderlust, Versailles is worth it. I think even the boys would be impressed by it. Boys that age would probably think the catacombs are cool. Although depends on the kids, some kids that age might still be scared by it.

On the first flight with the puppy. Omg this is stressful! She won’t stop scratching at the bag. At least she’s not barking—yet.

and my dosh account was suspended. Found out when I tried to cash out. Oh well. Was good while it lasted.

I don’t know anything at all about Dosh, but I read the gift card thread here on the DIS and seem to recall some recent discussion about it. A couple of people over there were recently shut down by Dosh but were able to get reinstated and cash out. Might be worth a quick search.

I’ll give it a shot. I’ve only got $32 in my account so not a huge deal.

Email them! I was reactivated and able to cash out. Worth a try. Don't know if it will credit going forward but at least I cashed out.

Well Bonvoy DP.....

I just booked the Courtyard Carolina Beach for the dates 6/28 to 7/2. My FNC expire on 6/30 and it let me apply to my last night (which is 7/1).
Thanks for the DP..I think I'm gonna try to book those two FNC's on those dates too and I wondered if I could

The puppy tore a hole in the mesh in her Sherpa bag. Thank goodness my daughter is meeting me in Atlanta for the rest of the triip. Next time either she or I needs to be tranquilized!View attachment 655728

I'd call your vet and see what dose of children's benedryl the pup can have. Then I'd see if that works before you fly home. It didn't make dude sleepy but dis help his seasonal allergies. The vet prescribed something else I'd give him before we'd fly. I was worried he'd bark or have issues, esp since we were going clt to sea. It just kept him calm. I'd pull him out and people were surprised I had a dog. They'd give me enough for the trip we were taking rather than a lot.
