It’s okay, my son gets called a girl even though his clothes are clearly boy clothes and he wears a baseball hat lol. It’s because of his “pretty blue eyes”Unfortunately she takes after her mom as a baby..no hair so probably wouldn’t need a haircut for a long time..lol…my daughter gets upset that people think she’s a boy even wearing a bow

It's FINALLY summer! But I'm still waiting on 3 students to get in work so they can pass. Nothing like sitting in a google meet w/ kids today teaching them stuff from Oct/Nov so they can pass. UGH! I'm being REALLY nice here w/ this kinda stuff. But then again, I'm basically BULLIED into accepting ALL late work w/o penalty. I'd like to know how my academic counterparts don't have to. Hmmm....
What really sucks is the mentality that I'm a blow off class. I get it, I was "shop" in the old days. Where you put the kids that can't pass other things. But I teach Engineering now and use the Project Lead the Way curriculum. They get actual college credit for my class. I should be looked at like AP classes are. When you give me a 14yo who can't pass Algebra 1 and expect them to pass a college level Intro to Engineering class, what do you expect?
Okay rant over, LOL.
I haven't gotten anything. From FB groups, it seems that's the norm. We were all complaining that AA at least threw you a few wins!
I know Hilton is 5th free. I love IHG because it's 4th free!
And then you can use PYB if you choose toI like the direction we are headed where there aren’t clothes that are deemed boy clothes or girl clothes. I think more parents are moving in the direction that long hair or pink clothes has nothing to do with gender. So often we say “let’s celebrate our uniqueness or individuality” but then when our kids try to do that, our protectionist tendencies try to steer them to more “normalized” choices.
With my lils, when we go to McDonalds and they ask if they want boy or girl toy, my kids recognize how wrong that is. What does that even mean, they want to know?
Note: To keep this cc related, I tend to use CSR or CSP at McD’s for the dining earning rate, and I always use the app to save $2-5 off each order.![]()
Is is sad to say that this year was actually easier than some of my prior years? I was in a VERY toxic district for YEARS. I actually suffered PTSD for awhile from the things that went on there. So Rona was actually cake.So today was the last day for all school work to be turned in. I cannot wait for this year to be over. And to the teachers on here, I have no clue how you made it through this year.
On the phone with SW. Cannot figure out how to add ds as a companion for our Christmas trip. He can only be my companion on the way their because the return is 1/2 and my companion pass expires 12/31. I'm thinking this is the problem since I didn't book the trip as two one ways. Then I need to call Geico back and set up my umbrella policy. What a Friday night.
And Monday I'm headed to the Homestead for two nights for working. Then DD graduates Thursday (my mom isn't coming unfortunately). Way too much going on and I need a vacation.
My AAS is Drafting Technology w/ CAD emphasis. My BS is Industrial Arts (aka shop teacher). And my MA is Technology Education. I went to school to become a HS Drafting teacher. That has morphed into being an Engineering and Architecture teacher. That said, in my 23 years, I've pretty much taught EVERYTHING under the sun - Drafting (old school board drafting), CAD, Engineering, Architecture, Computer Applications, Photography (darkroom and everything), Electronics, Small Engine Repair, Basic Auto, MS Tech Ed (aka woodshop), Radio and TV, Theater Tech, Drama, Keyboarding, Credit Recovery, Materials Processing (basically woodshop) , Animation, Interior Design. The above mentioned district really exploited my certification and had me teaching a lot of things I was NOT certified to teach. But Industrial Arts covers A LOT of classes. That said, 99% of my classes were in Arch/Drafting/CAD/Engineering, so that's what I've always wanted to teach. But over the span of my career I did get to learn Photography (which lead to me starting my photo biz), and woodshop was a good one to be forced into as well, LOL. I also had to take Basic Auto in college, so I know some basic maintenance skills. You have me wondering what you do teach. Can I ask for clarification? When you say shop and engineering.. I have worked with engineers and I am in maintenance, just curious

I really hated drafting in high school. I hated the class, the teacher and most of all, I hated the t square that I had to lug in my backpack. Having said that... as an adult in really glad I was forced to take it (not so for metal shop, which was really horrendous). Is is sad to say that this year was actually easier than some of my prior years? I would like to ask how you save 2 to 5 bucks off the order using the CSP?I like the direction we are headed where there aren’t clothes that are deemed boy clothes or girl clothes. Since we’re on this topic, another tip:Not with the card, it's with the app, specifically the McDonald's app. They always have deals, free fries on Friday! I rarely order without using the app now and if I do it for lunch as a work day break I do curbside pick up as it's way quicker than sitting through the drive thru to pick it up. I'd go inside to pu, but ours still don't have the inside open.
