It’s best to do MDD M-F in case you need to push one through. Apply for the one you really want first, get approval, apply 2nd day, for card 2, get approval. CSR is expedited so you will it in no time.

Got my Citi checking bonus over the weekend, 4 months after opening, I was pleased. Got another bank bonus earlier this month, $900 in one month, can't complain about that.

Can I close the Citi now? DoC says there isn't anything that says you can't.

If you ask to join the DISChurners Reddit forum you can find a detailed post on how to do it. Basically, you'll apply for the card you really want first, the day after you are approved you need to apply and be approved for the second card.

What #becauseimnew said. Say you apply for the CSP tomorrow (and get instant approval). Then apply for the CSR on Wednesday. Make sure not to make P2 an Authorized User. So, that will be $8000 in spend and you will get 140,000 UR's. If you are able to spend more then use a referral from your CSP for P2. (this gets you an extra 15,000 UR's). P2 can just get this card or do the MDD also, depending on how much spend you have. So, potentially another 140,000 UR's. All total 140,000 plus 15,000 plus 140,000 plus the points for the spending 16,000 (if you both get both cards). With just these 4 cards you could have approx 311,000 UR's.

Something to think about. They both are at higher offers right now. Not sure when that is supposed to end.

So, today is my lucky credit card day. First the 20K MR's for POT.

Next, finished my Hyatt 5% and put a small dent in the 5% on the Disney card.

Now, I just got an offer of 5% through August 31st on dining using my Navy Fed Flagship Visa. All dining, take out, delivery, eat in. Up to 7500 points or $75 value.

I considered this, but was told at the Chase branch that if I used a support, I'd have to apply online (and therefore forego the waived AF). Is this accurate info? Could I have used a support AND still applied in-branch and gotten the AF waived? maybe YMMV?

Hey! So I have been MIA for awhile now... Got the puppy and she's been keeping me really busy! Have not had time to do much else.



In other news, wife took me by surprise and made me a P1 only team now. This was the primary reason I got the puppy, DD has wanted one for several years now but with the older cats we kept telling her after they pass but now the wife took the cats so I finally got a puppy. Lots to figure out now but CC stuff and Disney vacations are pretty much all called off for now.

Congrats! I always forget about the waived AF since we have no Chase banks near us.

The CSR can be anytime tomorrow. 12:59 am, 8:02 am, 3:00 pm.

Adorable! But CCs are good for all of those vet bills between shots, flea and tick and heart worm medicine and neutering, I know Puggles is making a nice dent in MSRs.

I was inspired to check their website again by this thread and they have a 'new' flip flop out called bayaband flip. This is 'I think' the same flip that I usually wear so I signed up as a customer on my gmail address and ordered a couple of pairs. The difference I see is the garish crocs name on the sole - sole was plain white on the older model. I can probably live with that to feel the comfort of the foot bed. The sign up got me 25% off the order. I could never wear the enclosed crocs with the back strap - they rubbed and made a blister.

Now I have to find some 'fancier' sandals also, preferably a leather top in some medium colors. I used to get some sandals and flats in the brand 'Born' but those have mostly gone extinct, it appears. I've had Merrell and Clarks and others over the years....many that I buy, try, wear once and donate.

Clarks are my favorites. I can walk in them for miles! Glad you found something new to try!

@Hoosier John - checking Amex cards for offers this morning - there was the popup that I almost closed out immediately. It's usually the one asking for income update, but no, today it was a pay over time one.

I have 2 MR cards - the Rose Gold and the Optima from 20plus years ago.

I got an offer to add pay over time for 20,000 MR's.

Naturally, I took it! Just last week I cashed in 5000 MR's leaving me exactly 1 MR. As soon as these drop in, I will cash them out also.

But then you said something about a window popping up, so I tried computer and found this in offers:

I clicked on "Enroll Now" for the POT and it said I was enrolled, but it had a button to turn POT off, so I shut it off.
Maybe I'll get lucky now?

PS. This only showed up on my Gold, and I never got a pop-up window
