Home PT/OT seems like a great option. Seems like she has the best support system possible in you. Don’t tire her out too much and make sure she eats well. Therapy is hard work! Good luck and hugs to both.
There are restrictions to home PT services. I think if she can get out of the house, Medicare will not pay for home care. I work in outpatient. If you want PT, just ask for it! I'm not sure what the laws are in your state, but most states you don't even need a doctor's order.

Applied again for CF this morning. With the $200 SUB and 5% back on groceries for the first year (it will be easy for me to max out that $12,000), thought I'd give it another try. About a month ago, I applied and was not approved.

This time...SUCCESS!! I'm so happy! Low CL of $4,200 but I pay off my card at least every couple of days so that doesn't affect.

Congratulations!

I hadn't heard about the 5% on groceries. I looked it up and I see it's only on new card holders on the CFU. I already have that card, but am tempted to apply to get one for DH. Especially if I could use the $200 SUB as UR points, I could move them to DH's CSR and they would be worth $300. Very tempting. I need to think about it for a bit.

I’d been talking to my college age sons about getting new cards, so my DS21 applied for the CF last night also and was auto approved. Right after he applied I was scanning DoC and saw about the new grocery benefit on new freedoms. I sure hope he got it because we didn’t know about it before he applied! He’s got his first apartment lined up this year and is excited about making his own food so that would be really handy.

And speaking of CF, I just got mine a month ago (6/16). Think I could get the 5% on groceries if I ask nicely?

Ok...the PYB feature on my CSR is great ...what's the best way to keep track? I mean b/c I was able to use it things I'd paid for months ago (before I decided to use it) now my balance owed is so much less than my current charges..... how do I reconcile this? If I have a balance owed of $200, but I have some charges for PYB that I can erase that are around $500, how do I calculate this? Will I end up overpaying somewhow? my goal was just to erase charges, will my balance go negative? advice? (thank you great cc minds of the Dis)

The CT scan showed a few mini-strokes. I have a bunch of sick and vacation time and will take FMLA. Mom is a hard worker and I’m quite a drill sergeant. She was walking a bit again today with her walker which was very encouraging. I’m pretty exhausted and I think we will both sleep well tonight.
Praying for her recovery and for you taking care of her. Hoping she can get most function back.

Anyone who's been thinking of a YNAB subscription, it triggers the $5 Amex small business credit too. I had no idea, but it was applied when I looked this morning.

Oh dang it!! I have been using the ynab 30 day trial and had to pay just yesterday. I used my CIC :sad2:

I just added the credit to our travel funds.

The first time I used the PYB feature there was a large credit balance on my CSR, I SM Chase and they deposited it into my checking account

Just locked in my rate (2.5% on 15 year fixed). Hoping to close by the end of August. I emailed Suntrust (that's who I'm with now) and was told they're at 3.125% on a 15-year refinance.

Who did you use? That is awesome....just got an email from my current company so I am going to do the online paperwork to see what they can offer.

Village Bank which unfortunately is a small local (Central Virginia) bank. I'm not sure my loan can get through underwriting because I'm not a W2 employee (I get a K-1). I think it will be fine but we'll see.

Are you still looking for a refi? I locked in on may 4 and was closed by June 9th and paid nothing out of pocket and missed 2 mortgage payments. I didn’t need an appraisal. My rate was 2.99% for 30 years. I used CFBank, they are in Ohio. I could give the brokers name and number if you like. They were awesome.
