Has anyone been able to stack the Amex $5 off $10 offer on multiple transactions from the same business? My friend’s framing shop is on the list but most custom framing jobs cost more than $10. She’d be happy to run our cards multiple times and DH and I both have the offer and would like to maximize the value...

I have gotten it. I did 7- $10 transactions and it credited the $35

Early decision makes sense if you are absolutely sure that is what you want to do. I wanted mine to have options so all 3 only did early action and regular decision applications.

We plan on moving them to campus, but I am not sure they will actually have any in person classes, still waiting to see about that. Makes me sad.

I’m not absolutely sure of anything but dd is convinced she’s got everything figured out and I know nothing!

Monday Mom drove herself to my house for her morning walk. Monday night she called that she fell at home. SIL and I went to get her and brought her home to my house. That night I went to work and she was able to get herself back and forth to the bathroom. Last night she would call me and I would go with her to the bathroom. Then this morning she got much weaker. We took her to the hospital for a workup and got no obvious answers. Tonight it was taking 2 of us to transfer to bed. We could use a few prayers this way.

Prayers to your family. I'm so sorry to hear this and I hope they can get to the bottom of it and help her.

My DD wanted to apply ED and said she wouldn't regret it. It worked out great for her since she went into her Fall finals already having the acceptance in hand. Still no regrets to this day. I had a hard time signing off on that one (they make a parent sign a consent form to do ED) because I thought she might regret it, but nope.

Dd was the same -- she was absolutely sure she didn't want to ED to any schools.

Dd's classes will be online for the fall semester, but she was lucky enough to get a spot in residence (they are only allowing single rooms and the dorms will only be at 50% capacity). She will get her residence building next week along with her move-in date (they are staggering the move-ins over a 1 week period to main physical distancing). Also the university is grouping all faculties in the same building (so she will be in a building with engineers; based on numbers we have a pretty good idea which building she will be in). I really, really hope that winter classes will be in-person and she can do labs (she loves lab work and consistently received 100% on her lab reports throughout high school).

I work for a university down here and they won't make a final decision on what they are doing for classes until the end of next week. They've said they are opening and we have been working like crazy to make this a safe place but it will all depend on what students tell us they want to do. I will have a HS senior next year - he goes to college for free where I work so his choice is easy (and he's happy about it too, thank goodness).

My boys' private school is alternating half the students at school at any time and the rest following along at home - masks all day. My little one's school is nature centered and they are very used to indoor/outdoor learning. Teachers will wear masks, students won't.

The CT scan showed a few mini-strokes. I have a bunch of sick and vacation time and will take FMLA. Mom is a hard worker and I’m quite a drill sergeant. She was walking a bit again today with her walker which was very encouraging. I’m pretty exhausted and I think we will both sleep well tonight.

Glad they figured out what happened with your Mom, with everything going on will they do PT with her ? It helped my Mom a lot when she had a stroke years ago. Praying for your Mom and hope you both get a good nights sleep

Mom is at my house I think it is the best place for her. I think her heart would hurt if she had to go to a skilled nursing facility. I’m hoping for some guidance on a PT program. There is no question I’m my mind that no one will work harder to get Mom well. Only got up once to potty last night (4 times the night before) We worked hard enough today that I’m sure we will sleep well. Just hoping I hear the phone when she calls. We are eating popcorn together now and watching Perry Mason. She works with every advertisement, I’m tough.

My son will be a junior in college. He lived in the dorms the first two years. We already signed a lease on an apt for him before everything went remote last semester. So he will be moving in next month. His college has said the dorms will be open and some classes will be remote and some in person. One of our DD’s was supposed to student teach this fall - still no word on what is going on with that, that is the last thing she has before she graduates in December. Our other DD is a HS teachers and she is supposed to find out early next month what her school is doing. So much uncertainty. I thought I was giving my kids good advice to go into education for a career ......

My Mom had the PT in her home...the house we grew up in, she wouldn’t leave and move in with any of us so we made it work..,her insurance covered it and since there were 4 of us we took turns going there to help out.

How long are you all waiting to contact Amex if the Small Business credit didn't post? I made sure to check the small business map.

I’m sure you’ve gotten other answers but that map is worthless. I’m working on MSR for Amex and needed a car repair. Checked the map which listed the auto shop as one of their small businesses. I mostly wanted to make sure they took Amex. Day of repair, nope no Amex. Repair shop assured me they have never taken Amex due to the high fees.

Home PT/OT seems like a great option. Seems like she has the best support system possible in you. Don’t tire her out too much and make sure she eats well. Therapy is hard work! Good luck and hugs to both.
