The sourdough starter thing sounds too complicated. I can keep dogs and kids alive. Not so good with plants. Sourdough starter probably wouldn't do so well either! Glad I have yeast for my bagel making:)

DS was able to find fresh block yeast at Founding Farmers yesterday. He had to buy a pound but it was only $5. We still have 3 packs of the dry ones left but that won't last too much longer. Told DS to freeze part of his and break some off for me.

Always push/pull using the other bank when Chase is involved. Chase is fraud alert happy. Discover can also be fraud alert happy

This is GREAT advise that I've never seen before ... Thanks!

Quick question... I usually never buy anything at Staples, but am I correct that CIP gives extra points? or is there a better card to use? I need a shredder.

Yes, correct.

ETA--sorry, @DisneyMandC is correct. It's CIC, not CIP.

CIC is 5x at office supply stores. CIP does not give anything extra.

I don't have any of these cards, but I've seen people here say:
Chase Ink Cash is 5x at office stores,
Chase Ink Plus (if you have the old card) is 5x,
and there is an Amex card that competes, but not sure which one.

All roads lead to...the beach? I wasn't planning on heading to the A1A this morning, but a sudden rain storm while I was riding caused a change in plans -- I thought why not? It might be pretty and I was already soaked to the bone, so nothing to lose. I am glad that I went, but I inadvertently rode a total of 30 miles, which is more than I usually do on a weekday.

I like the picture and thought it might be worth sharing.

   Have I mentioned before that I'm jealous of where you live, since those pics are my vacation pics and I can't go there right now?:rotfl2:

Yuck, I also suffer from this, my head spins slightly every time I turn over in bed, and nothing fixes it. It's been awhile since I had full on vertigo, knock on wood, I totally feel your pain!!!

I had trouble with this last Sept a few different days of our last Disney trip. I spent the first day in bed, vomited 3 times and had to hold on to walls when I walked. Epley maneuver fixed it for me but had to repeat maneuver a second day. I can’t imagine dealing with it on a daily basis😔

Well it's getting close to projected 'rain' time so I must get back outside and plant some more of my day lilies. I've been waiting for 3 years for friend to dig up hers so I could get some. Finally happened and I picked up this 50 pound hunk of earth and matted together roots, or fans. It took me 1/2 a day to get them separated out. These are tall and yellowish white when blooming. I'm actually hoping to get blooms this spring but we will see. Anyway, I have the other half to get into the ground and it is work when there are so many.

We've got a pretty good sourdough conversation going on another thread here about yeast/flour shortage :thumbsup2 I'm hoping my sams club flour pickup doesn't get canceled today, b/c we're on a constant bake/eat cycle right now with all the sourdough experiments! That will have to halt if we can't get more flour tho....

Foe once I'm glad to be working from home though to be honest I'd rather not have to work. I have issues with the crystals in my left ear getting loose and last week I hit my head hard cause I inadvertently stuck it too far in the fridge last week when getting something out. I knew it'd end up causing problems at some point. Sat up this morning and the room started spinning so that was fun. I know how to deal with it and do the epley manuever to put them back and took my meclizine/dramamine but it still sucks. But being home means no driving to worry about and I can work and move as slowly as I want.

Sorry about the ear crystals thing. I work with a lady who had this happen recently. Never heard of this before, in my life, until this year.

But I gotta ask, how deep is this fridge? :D

I bought a sourdough starter on etsy - said the old ones are the best, blah blah blah - and it has totally failed. Nothing I do gets it to "start" - feed it, temperature, change to bottled water. I'm going to make pancakes with it and just stick to normal bread.

I was very worried about being induced but I ended up with 4 inductions with no problems. Best of luck and hope he comes on his own!!!
Well that’s reassuring! I’ve just heard induction makes everything take longer since they’re forcing the process. She wants me to come in Sunday night to get started and then she comes in on Monday. I’m a little nervous because I haven’t met the other doctors but I can’t change that. I’m hoping to go without an epidural but we’ll see how that goes.

I suggested that. Flat out, No! It's ok. My life is probably complicated enough without 2 huge dogs. It's the isolation getting to me.
Wow I’m sorry. I figured most places were willing to work with owners on stuff like that. Are you going to look for another dog?

@Judique Regarding flower planting today, Freeze Warning for tonight just got expanded

Thanks. It's saying down to 37. I'll drag two large tarps over them for the night. I've got them up against the stone wall around my patio. Between the ones in the ground and the ones I won't get into the ground, I've got so many they'll make it okay. I can't believe friend let these go so long without division.

Just curious - why did you state "no point refund" for the AA flights? Did you book with points? If so, and the flight was eligible, then you should be able to get your points redeposited. They don't do it automatically and yes, they tell you to call when you are ready to rebook - but I have cancelled 2 separate return trips with AA and sent a DM via Twitter to ask them to redeposit my miles. In each case they have responded within 2 hours and the miles were back in my account. The credit card credit for taxes came through a few days later.

I guess I should say no automatic point refund without calling. The website just said to call when ready to re-book and that the points are safe, so I wasn't to worried about it. With a dm tweet what exactly did you have to say?

Ds was 9lb5oz and I had an epi -- glad I did because he went into distress and had to be taken very quickly. Went without for dd (8lb4oz) and I am (mostly) glad that I did. My sister had an epi with all 3 and said she wouldn't even consider going without. You will decide what's right for you when the time comes. I didn't have my doctor deliver either -- ds was emergency after 26 hours in labor and dd's was away on a golf trip (he was convinced she was coming late, but she was born on her due date!).

We fostered for a rescue for about 5 years (our schedule no longer allows us to make it to adoptions so I just help out with the Facebook page) and I can say that it’s really hard on everyone when a dog (especially a large dog) goes after a cat in a home....and even worse if things go badly. It could also be that since they have had the dog at the shelter/rescue they have seen some signs of small-animal prey drive and don’t want to risk it.

Yuck, I also suffer from this, my head spins slightly every time I turn over in bed, and nothing fixes it. It's been awhile since I had full on vertigo, knock on wood, I totally feel your pain!!!

I think the only reason it's this bad is because I had issues out of nowhere before my dlr trip last month. I got rid of it before we left so was ok but this will be a twice daily manuever like the last time. Prior to the last one it'd been several months since I'd had anything other than minor issues. I can normally "fix" it with the meclizine of I start to feel a little off before it get even a tiny bit bad. But any time I hit my head I figure it'll happen and this time I almost expected a bump I hit it so hard.

Thankfully I can still do stuff at the parks or I'd cry. I do tale meclizine everydat while there though and tend to try and only sleep on my right side.

I have a coworker who's in therapy for her ear issues to retrain her brain, which seems to be working but she deals with it much more often than I do, whatever her actual ear issue ism. She was trying to convince me to do the exercises and I'm thinking no I'm good, just need to get them back in place not train my brain to deal with something that's not an issue 95% of the time. Can't imagine dealing with ot all the time though.

Not very, normal freezer on top fridge. But stuff gets hidden or I was getting something from the drawer. It was dinner time or after so maybe I was tired. But I remember thinking after I did it, why was I far enough in the fridge to hit my head on that. So I didn't even realize I had leaned in further than normal. Kinda like bumping into a wall that's been there forever :rotfl2:
