We’ve ordered groceries at least once a week. We like having milk, apples, bread, broccoli, spinach, all of that fresh stuff and usually run out every week
Except I’m not usually ordering groceries, I’m going in and shopping. Up until today, when I checked pick up or delivery for any place nearby it was always over a week for a spot or not available at all. I checked last week on 4/10 and Instacart said next delivery available was 4/23. I guess there were cancellations or fewer people ordering.

Listeria is in most deli meats (mainly turkey) and cheeses that are in a case together. If the sandwich was hot it would be okay but I don’t like my sandwiches hot. My doctor wasn’t the one that told me this lol. It’s all over google. She did mention it at one appointment I think but she was just asking if I already knew

I don’t have to stay away from my cats. I just can’t do the litter
Technically it’s not in most meats, there’s just a higher risk it could be. Like eggs and salmonella, not all eggs have it. FWIW, you can heat the meat to 165, let it cool, then eat it. You don’t have to eat it hot.

We’ve only used shipt for groceries. Every time I look at instacart I’m not impressed. Our area might be smaller than where you live though

We are ordering groceries once a week too. But we have a large family and all our kids are great eaters, which I am thankful for, but we run through food so fast! I place a $200 Walmart p/u order once a week plus my dd17 grabs things from Target when she works and I add on with my neighbor when she orders from Costco through Instacart. We didn't eat out much before but I ran to the a store about every other day so this is forcing me to plan ahead more but we are doing ok.

Our goal has been to eat take-out from a local place once a week. We didn't eat that much take-out before but we want to support our local restaurants. Since I am not pregnant and we are not elderly (contrary to what @SouthFayetteFan thinks lol!), we feel okay eating from outside our house.

My kids are 25, 27, and 29 and I was never told that. However, I don't usually eat lunchmeat or hotdogs.

I don't miss team sports, but I do miss tennis and golf, particularly the Masters. Olympics I would have watched.

Just accept it @wendow - you’re in denial! 🤣

Wait, why not deli meat? Nitrates/nitrites? Never heard this. Either it's fairly new, or you have a great doctor!
Listeria. I've eaten 5 to 10 subway sandwiches and 30 at home regular ones I've made. The rate is really low. The list grows of things to avoid. Like we're to rely on pills only for nutrition. Kiddo still here at 7 months. I'm into pasta right now though.

The Last Dance... tomorrow night... gonna be epic! I miss sports so much too, but this Bulls Documentary might just help tide me over! 😊

We're thinking of watching the Bulls documentary too, but not sure if we want to. My DH and I both really like MJ, and sometimes it's best not to find out too much about famous people you admire, ya know? We probably will watch it eventually though.

DH and both have OPEN Barclays cards and no miles. What??

That’s better than I got. I was told no offers at all. :(

You can’t lose your job but you can lose business. My biz is rental properties and I may or may not have given a sob story to an Amex rep that renters aren’t paying on time and repairs and upgrades are being put off. :rolleyes1

I think the extension is for everyone but they didn’t send out emails to all.

That is so awesome. I tried selling a bunch of games and building kits DS had last summer, including LEGOs. Used Facebook and a local ‘garage sale’ site. Managed to sell only 2, none of the Legos even though they were unopened (DS decided he is ‘over’ Legos and they are boring). Anytime I sell anything, we meet at the local police station. They allow meet ups in the lobby but they have 4 parking slots right in front so I just meet there.

Aww poor guy, glad he is doing well. Did they give you back the piece so you can try to figure it out? Back when I worked at a vet, we always sealed the foreign objects in a clear envelope so the owner could see.

My mom had a credit after she closed the card and they just transferred to the bank account she had linked to pay.
They didn’t give it back but I think they showed DH and it was a cap to one of their flea medicine doses. So teeny tiny, just a 1/2” long by 1/4” wide cylinder. He’s home now and curled up next to me while I play video games :)

The boards are a flaming mess outside of this bubble. I've almost met MSR in one month. But now Chase might deny applications. 😭🤧
Don’t give up hope - the “churning sky is falling” panic happens every few months and yet we always find a path forward. I could name dozens of time that churning has been over according to some people... and yet here we are still doing it.

The game may change, the strategies may change, the earning potential might be more restricted, but the game...uh..finds a way!

Oh I loved Waitress!!!! ❤❤

We have NYC Hamilton and Rockettes tickets for mid-Dec. So hoping it happens.
That would be great!! My son saw Hamilton with his high school drama club!!! I went with as a chaperone but couldn’t get tickets. They only had enough for the club as they went to participate in a Broadway summit workshop. What an incredible experience for the kids! It’s ok I saw 3 other shows while they were doing the workshop so it wasn’t too bad for me either, just didn’t get to see Hamilton. One of my favorites I saw a few years ago with Benjamin Platt was Dear Evan Hansen.

The chance of contracting listeria is low, but if you do get it when pregnant and don’t realize it the results can be devastating.
Good friends daughter in law had it, didn’t know, went into labor at 28 weeks, because of the infection...baby was born with severe health issues, and has been in and out(unfortunately mostly in) of the hospital her whole life...she will be 2 on July 4th...she is on a feeding tube, can’t walk, sit up etc it’s so sad..
