I’m not in the restaurant business but imho any place that wants to survive this needs to get on the delivery platforms. I certainly browsed through mine when I got a notice from a DoorDash today more restaurants were added to DashPass.

I’ve had notifications from both DoorDash and Uber Eats offering no contact delivery today. They KNOW this is their time to shine...
We tried this last night and the delivery person knocked and waited... I see a ton more places on UE esp for pickup than there were at the beginning of the week in my area

I personally think it’s time to move on from who you all want to blame. The DIS has a community board so people are welcome to start their own thread on that topic. Or if only 2 people are interested in that conversation the DIS PM system is wonderful. 😊

This is the Budget Board, which is way different from the Community Board. Can still make a thread here but let's make the proper distinction. I rarely travel to community, often scares me...

Sorry I meant to suggest the community board. I’ll fix lol.

And DS has his shirt on backwards and won’t charge and it’s driving me CRAZY!

My husband wears his sweaters/sweatshirts inside out half of the time--if he pulls it off and it ends up inside out, he just leaves it that way the next time he puts it on. I don't mind, although it's probably a good thing that he has to wear button-down shirts to work most days. Not sure what his coworkers would think of it.

What kind of animal is he?? 🤣 🤣 I can’t even put it in the hamper inside out!!

In his defense, I will say that he is very good about not putting other things like socks in the hamper inside out. I think he figures sweaters are just as functional inside out, unlike other clothes.
So there is a method to the madness!

Big Hero 6 offered some instructions on this!! 🤣

Thank you everyone for the moderate recommendations! (I had quotes but changed devices and lost them all and too lazy to go back and get them). Right now I have a CBR and a POFQ ressie. I'm considering Pop too. I just don't know at this point if/when to plan them We normally rent a car, which would help with avoiding the bus systems, although I hate the parking fee (no parking for DVC like we're used to). It's so hard to plan with everything so up in the air. Our AP's were supposed to expire 6/8, so depending how long WDW is closed it will determine how late we can actually go. We also have a DLR trip planned the last week of July so that limits when we could go. DVC availability will play a part, as well as if DH will be allowed to take PTO (he works for a tax software company and is usually blacked out around the tax deadline, which of course is now 7/15). Ugh, so much uncertainty. Oh well, at least it's a distraction...

Did you check the Chase portal? Usually Apple is on there for an extra pt/$ or more. I haven’t checked lately but when I bought DDs mac I went through there.

I checked but the new portal is kind of confusing me. I’m not sure if what I’m seeing is the standard 1pt per $ or if that’s on top of standard. I’m blaming the TJ’s brownie bites I just binged on.

I read a lot of YA, fantasy, sci fi there. Do you like ones with supernatural creatures like shape shifters and magic and vampires and were wolves? I might have some to recommend. Not like twilight lol
Yeah I like all of that. And I like Twilight! lol Let me know some of the ones you've liked.

Okay I am going to do something radical here and...ask for churning advice lol

I am eligible for a Chase Biz and was goinh to have DH refer me for the CIP. However, w; only meet that spend via plastiq w/ student loans. I am currently in the process of trying to refinance those to take advantage of a better interest rate and term. I have had all the paperwork in for awhile so I am not sure what the delay is but haven’t gotten a timeline on when that would go live and when the first payment would be. I’m worried if I keep waiting they’ll change to the 15k.

Options-
1. Apply for CIP and just hope the refinance works out with timing of payments etc.

2. apply for CIU or CIC instead knowing we can meet that with reg spend.

3. Keep waiting until the refinance is hopefully done and hope the 80k/5k offer is there

Also- anyone have any good bank bonuses? I have an offer for $500 for BOA with 10k in DD but that’d require me changing my DD and I prefer to just use P2s part of which is being used for other bonuses right now. (My company insists on mailing multiple paper checks before changing a DD and it makes me uneasy to have my paycheck mailed).

I really struggle with this one, because even though I use Uber Eats since that’s really the only use I have for my Amex Platinum credits, I’m not a fan of the fees they charge both their customers and the restaurants, while barely paying their drivers. It costs a $350-$500 fee for a restaurant to join Uber Eats, then Uber takes a 15-30% commission on each order. Large restaurant chains can negotiate lower fees, but small, independent restaurants like the ones that are really struggling right now and can most benefit from delivery/pickup orders are also the ones that probably can’t afford the fee to join a service like Uber Eats, much less take a 30% cut on their menu prices and still break even. And for their customers, Uber Eats is offering $0 delivery fees during this crisis, but delivery fees can otherwise run $0.99-5.99 or more; then there’s a 15% “service” fee, and a small order fee for orders under $10. (Other food delivery services have similar models.)

Outside of using up Uber Eats, Doordash, or GrubHub credits, I think it’s better to pick up the phone and call your local restaurant to see if they offer pickup or delivery, and order from them directly if you really want to support your favorite local businesses. Under most shelter in place orders, you can still go outside to get food. Just be sure to be safe out there, observe social distancing, wipe down your order packaging and containers before eating just to be sure, and stay healthy.
