My MSR bonus posted for my cip. Now I need to combine all of our points (from 3 separate chase logins) onto one of our cips and figure out this whole chase travel portal thing. Has anyone dealt with them lately? Wondering how long I should plan on being on hold.

When booking a cruise through the ports it’s good to know everything you want ahead of time right? Cruise Line, dates, boat, room number, etc?

We're still trying to piece a summer trip together and all this talk about Hilton Head has me looking at that too. We were looking at Destin, FL or Gulf Shores Alabama for a trip with my sisters family and my mom. I've never looked at Hilton Head - has everyone mostly stayed at the Disney resort? None of us are DVC members and when I look on the website, it looks like they are not booking for the week after the 4th of July yet (at least not online).

Are there other good places to stay there?

Or if anyone has advice / opinions on Destin or Gulf Shores, I'd love to hear those too. We've never been to either place, but many from our area go there because they are probably the closest beaches to drive to (we're from the St Louis area).

I've only booked one cruise through the portal and I did know everything ahead of time, but it went very smoothly. Honestly, even when I book through a travel agent or the cruise line itself, I always know exactly what I want when I call lol. I'm a bit of a control freak when it comes to booking vacations

We are headed to Sandestin in Aug (we were supposed to be there this week until SW cancelled our NS flights). We are going to stay at Hilton which looks awesome. We are excited to try some place new.

We did Gulf Shores a few years ago to get to a different state. The beach/sand was beautiful. We went in April so it was warm but not crowded. Found out that my boys aren't really beach people so we did a lot of mini golf, trampoline park, and the small zoo. This was before churning so we rented a condo right on the beach that seemed more reasonable than other beach locales, but maybe that had to do with the time of year as well. I"m not sure if it happens more there, but there were rip tide warnings almost the entire time we were there.

We love Hilton Head and prefer it to Sandestin/Destin. The beach is beautiful in Destin, but we love the waves at Hilton Head. Hilton Head is very much a planned community with lots of bike trails. There are lots of great restaurants. It is very family oriented and there isn't much to do after 8 pm.

The Disney Beach House is in a community called Palmetto Dunes. We just went for a few days and rented a condo in Palmetto Dunes right next to the beach house since the Disney resort is still closed. We have been many times and I know @Judique has been more than us. Happy to answer any questions.
