Tier Status & Companion Pass Benefits:

For that reason, we are giving all Rapid Rewards Members a "boost" of 15,000 tier qualifying points and 10 flight credits toward A-List and A-List Preferred status, and 25,000 Companion Pass qualifying points and 25 flight credits toward Companion Pass status.

I'm trying to figure out what #3 means..... does this mean they're going to drop free points into my account?

Right! I got a CIP in early April and I didn't get the extension. I don't understand why the extension is only for cards through end of March. Not like things got any better on Apr 1

The theory might be that this was a "known" condition by April 1st. I also applied on April 1st but I don't need an extension... I mean, if I take more than 3 months to meet the MSR how will I get a new card in 3 months??

But what if you lost your job on Apr 2...? I may have to get creative. I'm still only halfway through dd's CIP and we just aren't spending as much, try as I might lol.

Oh c'mon - we both know how lenient Chase is with what counts towards MSR HAHA!!! Lots of ways to make that happen lol!

Weird situation though...this is a business card, used for business spend...so you really can't "lose your job", LOL!! It would make for an interesting conversation if you request an extension with Chase. I bet they'd grant it on a one-off basis and maybe they'll revise their position if things continue to be shutdown into May

I was 4/2 as well And many of us are spending less, including small business owners (maybe even more so them ...). I hope to not need an extension but I wouldn't hesitate to ask Chase for one if I end up needing more time. Pretty sure they would be willing to work with people.

It just means that they will add 25K to your CP ticker, not give you the 25K miles.It just means you'll only need 100K miles to earn the CP this year instead of the 125K

Just tried to log in to Costco and apparently my membership expired in March. I'm not sure if it's worth renewing. I mostly used it for rental cars. There's no real reason for me to even go to Costco until this Covid-19 thing is over.

Ok what is happening to my amex acct page? yesteday I posted about how I forgot about a bonvoy card I had etc etc.... I said I thought it was on my list of cards etc and it wasn;t,forgot,etc etc. So I log in today to check accts, I try to access that card which I just added yesterday (???) and it kept saying 'this card is accessed from a different site'..... (what??) so I click around a bit, and it finally shows the card # on my list,when I try to click it, it just goes to a payment page (which I had just left,after making a payment) and nothing else. I can't access the main page..... all of this has got me thinking something DID glitch with the site, removing that stupid bonvoy card from my accts list! I would swear I always had it on there with the rest.

Just checked on my Zola ordered and its CANCELLED?!? No credit on my Amex ledger. Weird. I guess I'll call in the AM.

All giftcard purchases were cancelled. I think some people that had accounts may have had them locked too. Not sure about that.

Thank you. That’s what I thought but wanted to be sure. I hope he’s ok too - he’s a former stray so he’s pretty resilient. The big dummy ate a couple of jumbo rubber bands when he got into the study during DH’s work meeting and was allowed to stay because of the cuteness. Most expensive Zoom pet cameo ever!

I hope your cat is ok. My dog ate a swifter mop pad 3 years ago and it lodged between her stomach and intestine. It was removed but then she had pneumonia from aspirating her vomit. They also discovered that she had a heart problem during all of this. It was about $5000 at the time. I don’t think the vet even expected her to make it. The vet gives me a discount on medicine because I spend so much money. She is 14 now and really getting old for an Irish Setter. She has been an awesome dog though. I wish I had known more about credit cards and points then.

I had no idea that I could add new Chase cards to Apple pay before receiving the card, I guess that's what happens when it's been 4 years since I've had a Chase personal card. I can start charging my new Hyatt card, oh wait, I have nothing to buy.

Wouldn't Chase biz cards on Apple Pay be nice? Amex does it...

It looks like I can add any or all of my CCs, then select which one to use at checkout.
I just hold my phone next to the "tap to pay" when phone says it's ready, and I think it works online somehow?
Does it tip you, or at least have a notes area, as to what the current rolling CC categories are?

I'm far from an expert but to my knowledge it does not have that feature (about what categories different cards have).
AFAIK it's just a "wallet" where you can select what card to use and then tap or wave to pay.

OMG..... I JUST realized I needed to check DH's account that he called to close on April 2..... it says closed, but we still owe the AF???? I sent a SM, but I can't call until DH is home (oh boy) will this fee drop off?

I would think that it should have already dropped off. I SM'd to close a chase card. It took almost a week for a response saying that they closed it. The fee disappeared the next day.

Just put $1200 on sw biz performance for a hospital bill for dd. Only $2800 to go for the first 70,000 RR points. I need to make an estimated q1 tax payment which will more than cover this but I'm not in any hurry since the due date was pushed out and I'm sitting on oodles of RR points with no where to go.

5/24....so near yet so far away...…...

Back in March of 2019 I got my latest personal card. I was not under 5/24 at that moment. Actually I was at 8/24 as far as I can determine, but this was not a Chase card and I have substantial history with that bank so I was able to get a card. Same with Amex in November 2018. Got the Rose Gold in about 30 seconds.

Since then I've watched others enjoy a luscious beverage and yearned for the chance to sip sweetly. Chase threw me a bone and I willingly embraced it but still the yearning continued.

This morning I looked at my status and on 7/26/20 I will have reached the 2 year period for two cards. This will not only take me under 5/24 but straight to 3/24. On 7/26/18 I was approved for 2 cards same day. Then on August 23, pending another approval meanwhile, I will have an opportunity to achieve 2/24. Next drop off will be Nov 2020 bringing me to a possible 1/24. The world will be my oyster!

I doubt my crowning jewel will still be available for me on 8/1/2020, but if it is still alive in link, that will be my first option. After that we will see what entices me.

So the countdown begins: 3 more months and a week or so. Not that much different then someone who gets a card and does MSR in one transaction.

Meanwhile I'm dropping many thousands on non MSR as my fence project starts. Its not waiting until August.

DD got an email detailing her extended time to meet the MSR and the email said it was for cards opened by 3/31. Her tracker isn’t updated yet either. I opened a CIP on 4/2 but didn’t get the extension email.

Hmm, I don't recall getting an email like that, but I don't think it's going to affect me much
