I am trying to decide what to do in November for the last day of our vacation. We get off the Disney fantasy on Sat. Im not a fan of heading home right after.
I am tossing around heading to Seaworld (can actually use my FNC on my Marriott card around here) or head to Cabana Bay for the day. I have always wanted to check out that hotel but we tend to stay at EP resorts when at Universal. We can stay at Cabana bay and just do the pool and bowling or head to Volcano Bay if the weather is nice.
Kids will be 3, 5, 16. Im leaning towards Seaworld for the little kids and the use of FNC?

We will be spending 2 night before the cruise at Hard Rock/ Universal.
We did Sea World when we disembarked on a Saturday, and it was great. That was almost 12 years ago, but but it was perfect for us.

Sorry still no sympathy LOL.

I agree! I left yesterday for home and even though I had a teeny bit of rain and a little bit of palm tree swaying, I seriously considered staying for another few days.

And then, on my way home, in North Carolina of all places, there was snow on cars! Then I could see it on the trees and in the ditches.

Finally got home and no snow here. It's a balmy 54 degrees. Not complaining as we go back south in 3 weeks and I am thinking of going on to Florida for a few days after our Hilton Head stay.

Well, I've yet to take advantage of a Staples offer but there is one not too far from me so I checked my Chase offers and I have one for $30 off $100 or more and another one for 10% off up to a $170 purchase.

So to maximize this, I would buy a $100 Disney GC with the one card and... what do you recommend for the other? I can definitely use Disney GC towards my trip this week...
If you need Disney DCs I would buy another $150 with the 10% offer

Just a heads up. I’m able to get the Surpass to pull up for 125k/2k using DH’s support link from his Aspire. I have gotten it in pretty much every browser I check. I just wanted to let you know it’s out there if you’re able to find it. 😊

Even better, I was just going off what I'd remembered before. Hopefully that's still there later in the week.

Sorry for your terrible experience! People suck. Esp people that stereotype and are/act racist. My DH is Ecuadorian by birth/US Citizen, and you cannot believe how many times he gets the "Mexican" stereotype or racism attached to the stigma. I also sometimes want to say "You know there are other Hispanic countries besides Mexico? You know Mexico is in North America and Ecuador is in South America, right?! Two different continents." But people are vapid and it hardly ever does anything good to call them out on it. Some people are so ingrained in their ways....smh. So I feel your pain and I'm sorry that happened. :(
That's so frustrating. People like that are so ignorant & are seemingly proud of being ignorant, so it's virtually impossible to change that behavior.

Wow, just wow! That is so rude! My DH is Vietnamese so I’ll see if we receive any inquiries when we travel over the next few weeks.
Hope things have gone better for you!

I’m so sorry, and really upset that this happened.

Asia is a large continent. Japan is completely different from China. There are Asian people of all ethnicities and nationalities who live and travel all over the world. Asians aren’t the only ones traveling in and from Asia. The coronavirus can infect and be carried by a person of any ethnicity. Wow, just wow. It’s 2020!

I hope you post this story on Bonvoyed.com, Yelp.com and TripAdvisor.com [or Marriott’s Twitter] where it’ll get more views. This kind of thing is unacceptable and deserves a formal apology to you, and hopefully serves as a lesson for the hotel and it’s staff.
I didn't at the time - had to switch to "work mode" - but I will at least post to Bonvoyed.com & possibly TA because I'm still mad. We were actually supposed to return to that hotel but we went elsewhere, for obvious reasons. Now I wish we went back to see if that employee had returned or not  The manager seemed sincere, but you never really know with people.

I'd like this offer too... but I hate BOA, so nah. 🤣

I've decided the best way to hate a bank is to take them for as much money as I can. I've lifted the ban on Citi and contemplating lifting it for CapOne. I got back at Citizens by grabbing 3 bank bonuses so I call us even now 😆

Thank you for this, but sadly I have no offers in either place. They show up on my personal accounts, but nothing on the app or desktop website for the business account. I’ll keep checking, but ☹
I'm having the same issue with my new CIU. It's not available in the drop down box that has my other cards. Thinking back I think my debit card popped up within a couple days, it just didn't have any offers. I think I'm going to have to call/SM and ask about it. I've had the CIU for over a month now. I'm thinking it somehow didn't get enrolled in the offers program.

I'm about 10 pages behind...so please forgive me for this question if it has been addressed by the group.

I received an AMEX offer for a $55 credit if I make 3 payments to a cell phone company.
Does this mean I could divide up my next bill and just make 3 smaller online payments to earn the credit?
Thanks

I got the $30/$100 on 3 of my cards. Haven’t checked DH’s cards yet. Will have to buy online also as they closed our Staples store also. I will be putting gift cards in the kids Easter Baskets so this will help.

Nice! I only got it on 1 of my cards. Are you planning to buy smaller amounts adding up to $100? I thought about doing that, but was worried about a repeat of the BJ's issue (amounts charged separately and didn't trigger offer).

Amex point posting party for DH’s Amex Green! :jumping1:

He made the spend in first statement cycle. I usually like to make it through first statement and not do it too fast but the spend was $2000 so did not take too long. There was about a 10 day delay between meeting spend and points posting. A little excessive so they must have been checking the account. I am just so happy I don’t have to keep checking a couple times a day now.

For newbies wondering Amex can be difficult not only for the pop up potential (where you try to get a card but once apply get a pop up that you won’t get bonus if you go forward) AND because sometimes you can get the card without pop up and then have a difficulty getting points to actually post. When that happens it is best to just keep throwing spend on the card and hope for the best. So approval is not the only barrier sometimes.
Congratulations! I am making the MSR on my Green PAINFULLY slow. I throw random things on there and still have about $500 left while still putting stuff on my Plat. Amex makes me overthink which card to swipe/tap with 🤣

I am assuming that will work. I am making 3 $5 payments and then balance will go on the CIP for the insurance. I didn't see any amount noted on the offer.

@afan late to commenting but sadly I could only find the 100K deal on the Plat through AMEX and not via any links. Still worth it if you can get it though. The SUB makes up for the AF that first year. If not, there is a 75K out there that people have found using links.

I’m curios if anyone has an answer for this. If we were to book a flight to Japan for next year through Virgin and paid the taxes/fees with a CSR and for some reason the virus isn’t gone by then, would the travel insurance on that card cover it to cancel or move the flight? This is way far in advance but we would ideally book in June this year
