Buyer beware. I'm bought stuff before that said "shipped and sold by Amazon" and ended up with a bunch of counterfeit products. If it's expensive, or goes in or on my body I won't purchase from them any more.

And quite a few of the reviews are obviously faked.

I've read of scenarios where Amazon and 3rd party inventory has even been mixed and it is scary! I do not order anything health/body related either. Too scary!

It would be the whole rollover, everything from the account. I wasn't at that job long.

You have 60 days to deposit it from the date on the check. However you're only allowed to deposit one 401k rollover a year so if I were you I would just get it done before year end because you never know what next year brings.

The Chinese and other crappy sellers on Amazon are going to hurt Amazon and cause people to lose faith. My mom buys only on Amazon and a bunch of the toys she bought from random sellers are junk, terrible quality and nothing like the pictures. I’ve told her she CANT buy weird brands and to only stick to name brand things. Reputable sellers on Amazon have huge problems with conmingling of items and fakes getting mixed in with real. I think I got fake Havaianas. Now, even items that are listed as Prime aren’t necessarily sold by amazon - you can pay a fee to send in your stuff and they store, sell, and ship it for you. That’s where the mixing of goods happens.
I sell on eBay and at least people can see the exact item they will buy from me.

It's gotten so bad and some of the stuff that are fakes are just plain weird. I've gotten fake shampoo, fake hair dryers, and even fake pens and notebooks. Why make a fake moleskine? It just feels like too much work.

I havent got anything fake on amazon maybe im lucky
edit I also cross-shop for points so say target has the same item for 20$ as amazon I will get it from them because I get 1% from target + 1% or more from Rakuten I have the 5% amazon card but I really only cross-shop an item that is over 20$ unless I dont think the price is competitive. Some things on amazon are way overpriced but the only place you can get it like the Hawaiin drinks I love.

Off topic news here: I've officially made it to "full term" today and will be able to deliver at home with my midwife. (All of my children have been born at home so far) This is very exciting because although I didn't talk about it much here, there was a lot of uncertainty with this pregnancy. For most of it we weren't sure we would make it this far. So I feel like celebrating

In on topic discussion:

I missed MSR Sunday but we are both within $500 of SW Performance and holding off until the first to finish them, just to be safe. We will be ready to apply for our second card for CP after the first.

My mom is waiting for her letter asking for verification to see if she wants to continue trying for a CP or not. She got the 7-10 message and called and was told she would need to verify address and Tax ID number, even though she used her SSN.

I have been keeping up here barely with the holiday busyness, I read all about AA and considered it a blessing in disguise they didn't want to approve DH or I. But I must have missed where there is a potential issue with Chase now? I'll check on Dischurners for more info.

We have two different family gatherings at our home with multiple overnight guests this week so I will be logging off for Christmas. I hope you all have Happy Holidays!

I'm starting to plan for next year and I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas about which airlines to put for the Amex reimbursement credit. This year I had American on the gold (which I managed to use up) and United on the platinum, which I still have $130 left (I will buy 2 lounge passes this week just to get something). I need some ideas.

Do you fly SW ever? I used the credit for upgraded boarding, EBCI, taxes and fees on points booking, and inflight drinks (when they bother pulling out the cc machine to charge me - I think on the red eyes I tend to fly they don’t want to mess with it....so free drinks for meeeeeeee). I will miss groups A1-A15 when it’s time to cancel the plat.

I'm actually working on getting a companion pass on southwest next year so that might work. I can't see using up $200 though. Particularly since my southwest credit card comes with some early boardings included.
