I’m still waiting for my Hilton points from my Aspire card. Amex said that they were waiting until the three month expiration period to meet MSR before they would award them. Thank goodness I don’t have any immediate use for them. Their actions don’t make me want to put spend on their cards..

I’m having the same issue. Did you sign up for it when they very briefly waived the fee for the first year? I took advantage of that glitch and I think that’s why AMEX is dragging their feet in rewarding me my points.

Well before our universal trip I found a bag of gas gc. That I purchased back in June. Well DH went to use them today and they all had a $0 balance. Called shell and now have to dispute it. As I have the card and the receipt.

I'm actually working on getting a companion pass on southwest next year so that might work. I can't see using up $200 though. Particularly since my southwest credit card comes with some early boardings included.

How many flights with a companion are you planning to take next year? Maybe the math works out. One roundtrip for two people booked on points is $5.60*4 = $22.40 in taxes and fees. Upgraded boardings are $30-50/pp each way, so that could be $120-$200 alone if you and your companion upgrade both ways on more than one roundtrip (assuming that you would use your free upgraded boardings for the first roundtrip flight).

I'm planning to use up our remaining $82 in credit on Saturday to treat DH and my sister to a nice relaxing flight home after Christmas with my family, or at least some champagne en route as we jet from PNS - HOU.

Yes! When I first pre-ordered it from Target, the plush looked kinda creepy. They updated the image since then and it looks like this now:



Both are cute in their own way. Can you have too many Baby Yodas though!? It is honestly a surprise for my sister so she will get them as they come in.

I am really appreciating all of the talk about legitimate uses for those Amex airline credits. We have a bunch of them and I'm not sure how we will use them up in 2020, so keep the ideas coming. Can we use the money to buy a lounge pass, and if so, which airlines? That might work for DH when there's no Centurion lounge.

For sure! Fakespot has become my best friend when shopping on Amazon.

I've never heard of Fakespot but it sounds like something I should check out.

It's gotten so bad and some of the stuff that are fakes are just plain weird. I've gotten fake shampoo, fake hair dryers, and even fake pens and notebooks. Why make a fake moleskine? It just feels like too much work.

Seriously? Yikes. I was just looking at journals on Amazon last night. So far the ones I have bought were from local bookstores. I'm super picky about paper, so the quality really does matter to me.

See, this surprises me. My dd's said the new Star Wars would be too intense for their brothers so we told the boys they'd have to wait. I'm seeing it tomorrow though so I'll pay attention to that. We aren't letting the boys watch the Mandalorian though either. My 11yo is really sensitive to scary stuff.

My DS, now 10, noped after the second Star Wars movie. He really dislikes violence. He hated Solo being frozen and Vader cutting off Luke’s hand. He has not even asked to see the new one. We need to watch the other 6 first anyway.

Well fingers crossed DHs gift shows up? I ordered Friday morning, paid extra for next day shipping because the website claimed that would get it here before Christmas... all I can see in tracking now is label created yesterday at 3pm... somewhere in the US.

My mom ordered DS a football jersey from Amazon. When I checked to see why it hadn’t arrived, it was in transit from China. EST arrival date December 30-January 15. It arrived today. Hopefully yours arrives tomorrow.

I’m personally not going to relay somebody’s personal info. Basically, he fits the profile of the info I’ve shared thus far and he got an e-mail saying account suspended and had his upcoming award flights cancelled. If he chooses to share more that’s his call.

Christmas baking is done! DS made “Disney Caramel Apple Pie” and niece made a Triple Cherry pie.
