Does the CIU still support to both CIU and CIC? Just thinking about my future plans for 2020 between DH and myself. Trying to get a plan. Since apparently nobody wants to have their teeth cleaned this morning 😂 My first 2 patients canceled. Pretty normal for Monday/Holidays. Gives me plenty of free time to sit and ponder

Actually now I"m thinking... I hope the Centurion lounge in DEN isn't too tied to the reno/expansion... Which we got like 9 months into of a multi year timeline and there were concrete issues and they were already behind schedule/over budget so Denver pulled out of the contract, which alone cost $20 million to pull out of... and as far as I know no new contract/contractor... :scared:

Well fingers crossed DHs gift shows up? I ordered Friday morning, paid extra for next day shipping because the website claimed that would get it here before Christmas... all I can see in tracking now is label created yesterday at 3pm... somewhere in the US. :confused3

the way I understand it...you can generate support links from a CIU or CIC for a CIU application

LOL, DH just went to our dentist semi-urgently for a toothache and I just woke DD up since her cleaning is in 1 1/2 hours-we apparently keep appointments we don't even have 😝

OMAAT a time predicts late 2020.
We are there 2/8-2/16...:-)
At Universal? More meet-ups!!! And I am total introvert...

Since we have some good financial minds on this thread... I think I missed the date I was supposed to rollover my old 401k and they have sent me a distribution check. Will see when I get home :badpc: Does getting this into an IRA fall under the rule where you can make prior year contributions up until tax day? Or do I gotta get this done like Thursday to avoid tax penalties? The small blessing is it's only about $1500 total...

I am weirdly hesitant to order certain items like electronics from Amazon. Is it shipped and sold directly from Amazon?
Buyer beware. I'm bought stuff before that said "shipped and sold by Amazon" and ended up with a bunch of counterfeit products. If it's expensive, or goes in or on my body I won't purchase from them any more.

We've already started airing our grievances?!
Oh where do I begin with Chase. Puts stop payments on my check without authorization. Freeze account for no reason. Had a Chase rep call me stupid. I'm not happy with Chase at all. But I haven't found a business account so...

I just want to confirm before I answer this are you just depositing the distribution check or is this a check for the whole rollover?

And quite a few of the reviews are obviously faked.

Thanks for the info about your payment being applied to principal only. I have an online account and can see when payments post (I can even send payments for a fee) so I'll be keeping an eye on it. The payment is technically due Jan. 1 but we don't get changed a late fee until Jan. 15.

Also, it's odd that the money was applied to the principal rather than to your payment. I had the opposite problem when I was trying to pay off student loans early--the company kept wanting to extend my payment but not apply the extra to the principal.

I currently have two green Serve cards (one I'm using and one I activated but am not using). I've read that some people apply for the max (I think it's 5) and keep some unactivated in case of a shutdown. I'll be applying for a Bluebird today. If the mortgage payment works, that would definitely be a true benefit to the Serve card for me.

Thanks for the info. So far (assuming the mortgage payment works), the whole Serve experience has been really much easier than I thought it would be. Are you keeping the other 3 cards unactivated? I have read on flyer talk that some people think that even after a shutdown, unactivated cards might not be affected.
Yes, I keep the other three cards unactivated. And while I don't have personal experience I have read about getting shutdown on one account and then just activating your third account and continuing. Some reports are that you wouldn't be able to apply for a new one, which is why having those 3-5 accounts is important. I agree, I've found Serve very easy. That's great that you would be able to pay your mortgage without paying a fee and getting points!

I received an email from Qantas about our flight changing. Instead of getting in at 6:30 am, we now arrive at 6:35 am... Much better than our return flight on United that cancelled our flight to IAH and we are now cutting it close in LAX. I’m going to call about that after we get home from vacation.

Me too! And it definitely caused me some momentary panic before I looked at the detail of the changes because these are the First and Business flights on JAL for our Japan trip this summer booked using Qantas miles transferred from MRs. But I'm actually really happy with the change! Instead of leaving SFO at 3:50 p.m., we now leave at 11:50 a.m. (which is fine because we are flying down to the Bay Area the day before anyway), and we arrive in Tokyo at 3pm instead of 7pm the next day. Since we are heading straight to the Tokyo Disney resort, this is definitely a plus. Four extra hours at Disney :) And we still have our same seats in First and Business, so it's all good. Now my heartbeat can return to its regular rhythm....
