Yes, I believe it would be considered taxable income. From what I have read, you can use it to pay any more medical expenses you have for the rest of the year (be sure to document) or try to put it back in the HSA. You need to make sure the HSA administrator knows it is a return of previous withdrawals and not an additional deposit. Ther may be a special form.

This is from the turbo tax website - https://ttlc.intuit.com/community/t...ally-where-do-i-account-for-this-in/00/618830

Thank you - I think there is a special form as well. I'll try to call about it tomorrow.

You can only put in 5,700 into your HSA/year. That's non-taxable income. I think the money is yours to keep.

I usually pay for medical with credit card (earn points), submit EOB to HSA to have them reimburse me for the money.

I'm in an HSA family plan - so I can do the full $7k (it goes up a whopping hundred bucks for 2020). I'm going to try and put the money back into the HSA. It will be better sitting in there.

Thank you Renaissance SeaWorld for the awesome free upgrade to an executive king suite! And with this stay, I will maintain my Platinum status for 2020.

You're probably all set for now, but for others reading----the Disneyland edition of the DisUnplugged podcast just had a review of the Hyatt House at Harbor&Katella on their latest show.

Let me tell you, the day I didn't have to check for flights back from Australia was a great day  I had been checking for one direction or the other for literally 7 weeks straight.
Funny you mention that because I was looking at the Hyatt House today. I have enough points for three nights. It's 15k a night. Cash cost is 250.00 a night plus tax. I'm going to book it. If the cash price comes down I'll pay cash. Hopefully, I can recoup my Hyatt points when I start applying for Chase cards in February.

I'm definitely not getting up at 3 am to look for a stroller lol. It's possible it won't even be on sale for early access.

As a mom who had to set alarms at 3:55am for CRT for her toddler, I'll say that I wouldn't have done that just to save a few dollars. Sleep is too important and I'm not willing to sell a good night's sleep for money. But a chance for my little princess to have breakfast in the castle before the park opens? Yeah, I did it.

Well I mean it's saving more than just a few dollars ($130), but still probably not worth it lol. I'm half tempted to set my alarm anyway.

Before I started this hobby years ago I did not even know what HUCA stood for and would not even think about doing it. Today I did the hang up and call again and had success. So yet another thank you to this group at large!

I bought a Costco discounted Delta gift card and then called Delta Vacations to have that $500 put on my package. I did the exact same thing last week with no problem. Today when I called the first rep took the information down and then informed me I could not use it after muttering something official about money toward a flight. You know when you can tell it won’t do any good to argue? That was how this was. I politely thanked her and didn’t even put my phone down before trying again. This time person had to struggle with it, but finally did make it work. So persistence paid off. Another $50 off the package...I could have used the gift card another way but it made me really happy to use it like that. So thanks and yippee for HUCA!

I will be up! :thumbsup2
What are you getting? I've been sleeping horribly the last couple nights because I've stayed up too late. Dh doesn't know the deals start at 3 am so I'm not sure if I should wake him up or not. I don't know if I can set my alarm without waking him up and he has to work tomorrow morning.

HMM IDK. I don't actually need anything, but I am sure something will entice me. I'll definitely buy some Blu-Rays 🤣

We have a list of movies waiting to be put into that Target cart at BF prices.....but, 1 am?? Ugh, getting too old for that and I have work tomorrow.. I’ll be ready at 5!😊

Oh, and that MacBook Air??? Amazon, $899 - $100 for no rush shipping...I don’t need one, I don’t need one...😬

Wait what? Although I think DS wants a Pro.

I'm going to need to stay off this thread on Friday. Too many enablers mentioning good deals of stuff I honestly don't need. :rotfl: I always have trouble doing online shopping when the deals are this good.

@PolyRob, DH did order me something similar to what you posted to try to add some memory to my Air. I want to try to keep it for at least a while longer. Thanks for the suggestion.

My mom is asking me for advice on CC points. She's never really used a card to earn points beyond her Costco Visa. Her and her husband want plane tickets to Hawaii for sure but I'm not sure what else they would use them for beyond that. She says neither of them have opened cards within the last two years so I believe they are wide open for Chase. I'm not sure if they have ever opened cards with lifetime language from Amex since they would have been done many years ago. I was thinking CIP but I'm not really confident in that. Suggestions?

I am sure the movies will be safe compared to other doorbusters!

That is a great deal! A week to save $100? It blows the $699 "limited time deal" MacBook Air out of the water! I don't need it either, but it is SO tempting.

Can't go wrong with a Pro 🤣
