I'm going to need to stay off this thread on Friday. Too many enablers mentioning good deals of stuff I honestly don't need. I always have trouble doing online shopping when the deals are this good.

@PolyRob, DH did order me something similar to what you posted to try to add some memory to my Air. I want to try to keep it for at least a while longer. Thanks for the suggestion.

OHHH yes! Not falling for all the deals is very hard. I just got my mom 5 Yankee Candles from Kohls because she mentioned her stash was getting low.

Hmmm good question! I always use my RED card at Target for the 5% off, but I am not sure if it will be like Kohl's where certain coupons don't apply unless you use a Kohl's CC. Maybe having a RED card in your account will let you circumvent it?

That is a great deal! A week to save $100? It blows the $699 "limited time deal" MacBook Air out of the water! I don't need it either, but it is SO tempting.

I know!!! Isn’t the $699 deal an older model, too? This is the new one, albeit not ’rose gold’ as I had thought. Those Apple store lights are deceiving The Pro would be awesome, but the money tree is dormant for the winter

Yes! The $699 is the 2017 release. It still has legacy ports so that can be good or bad depending on what you need.

Apple's colors have been weird. Last year the gold iPhones were a true gold. This year it is more rose gold, but not a true rose gold. I think it is similar to Disney's Briar Rose Gold collection vs Disney's Rose Gold. It is pinkish, but still resembles yellow gold. Interesting combo!

Well i'm having no trouble finding availability on other routes, so i have to assume the system is fine. I am surprised availability is as scarce as it is.....but then, I am also not surprised....Brits do love to go to Orlando.

My mom is asking me for advice on CC points. She's never really used a card to earn points beyond her Costco Visa. Her and her husband want plane tickets to Hawaii for sure but I'm not sure what else they would use them for beyond that. She says neither of them have opened cards within the last two years so I believe they are wide open for Chase. I'm not sure if they have ever opened cards with lifetime language from Amex since they would have been done many years ago. I was thinking CIP but I'm not really confident in that. Suggestions?

When are they planning to go and what airline are they thinking for getting to HI?

Funny you mention that because I was looking at the Hyatt House today. I have enough points for three nights. It's 15k a night. Cash cost is 250.00 a night plus tax. I'm going to book it. If the cash price comes down I'll pay cash. Hopefully, I can recoup my Hyatt points when I start applying for Chase cards in February.

The first time I ever quoted myself, but there's a first time for everything. The only rooms I can get with points at the Hyatt house are a king bed and sofa bed...meh. I only have enough points for 3 nights and I really want 4 nights and I would need to buy points for around 300.00. Earning them isn't an option I'm locked out of Chase until February.
I started pricing out packages on Costco and DL and I can get a much nicer room at Hyatt House, Fairfield Inn, or Residence Inn for about 600.00 dollars more and I would keep my 45k Hyatt points for a later date. 45k Hyatt points could be very valuable down the road. I know Disneyland has contracted rates, but wondering if hotel prices will drop as it gets closer. One of the Marriott hotels is higher than Paradise pier? I keep reading not to book a package, but right now it's coming out cheaper which is weird.

I'm not an expert on getting to HI but unless they are flying United, I'm not sure an UR earning card is the right place to start. Maybe an airline card to start so they can get the points and get the flight booked. Spring isn't very far away when looking at award seats. Where are they flying from?

Seattle. Not super long flights. The only reason I was thinking URs is because I just don't see them using miles often and thought maybe they would find some creative ways to use them, but you might be on to something. If they are only going to use them for flights maybe they should look at an airline card.

If they are open to both an airline card and then an UR earning card, then I'm sure they could benefit from both. UR's are awesome!! I've just not found a tremendous value for flights (at least for where we travel).

We watched the 2nd mandalorian tonight. I'm still pretty underwhelmed but my dh and dd's all love it so I guess I'm in the minority lol. I really want to like it but it just kind of bores me and it's so dark (actual lighting). Dh & I watched 'waking sleeping beauty' last night. I enjoyed it. I like the 'Imagineering Story' better but definitely enjoying learning about the animators.

What else is everyone watching and liking?
