Did anyone else get an email from Hilton honors about filling out a survey to get Hilton honors points? When I clicked the link it said I could start doing surveys for points. Seems fake to me. The email looks real but the website is not a Hilton website. It could just be a survey website I suppose

I just got the same email and gave it a shot. I’ve tried similar ones through American before. It seems though that I’m not the type they’re looking for to complete the survey, cause that’s the message I keep getting after answering some preliminary questions. Doubt I’ll be seeing those points.

Looks legit to me. Looks like it’s just a research outfit that’s paying out in Hilton points. I’m going to pass because surveys like that drive me bonkers lol.

They are good for extending your expiry period. I've not gotten the HH one but would like to as I've lost HH points. Even if you get the 5 points for not qualifying, that's earning.

I do this with ihg surveys. On days when I have a little time, I get my 5 dqs. Sometimes I actually qualify and complete a survey. Between that and surveys from erewards my ihg points accumulate. I am typing this from a holiday Inn express room that I booked on points earned entirely from completing surveys.

I've done much better with the IHG surveys than the Amtrak ones. I have 380 points from Amtrak surveys but I've gotten at least a thousand from IHG. I probably could do much better but I don't bother with it very often. I let the emails sit in my account and click one every so often, mostly to get 5 points.

Are there surveys for Southwest? Anybody know? I was afraid my points were ready to expire but they are good for another year, but without a Southwest card and if no one flies on them, easy to forget them. I've only got about 14K but that's at least one way to MCO from here. Right now I'm good until Oct 2020, but time flies.

Son made it to the ocean and got checked in. (Marriott free night.) He was given a top floor corner room and is thrilled with his views of both bay and ocean. I told DD's that this might make him want to be a baby churner so he can book his own weekend nights!

I was afraid my points were ready to expire but they are good for another year, but without a Southwest card and if no one flies on them, easy to forget them. I've only got about 14K but that's at least one way to MCO from here. Right now I'm good until Oct 2020, but time flies.

There are surveys for SW. My DH signed up for them but I don't remember how or where. "He" rarely answers any though because he has his company cc linked to SW Dining Rewards and manages to take one particular client to lunch every few months at a qualifying restaurant.

I got a mailer today for a MC Black. No SUB it appears but I had to chuckle at their comparison of their card to other premium cards. They have the weight of each card showing theirs is heavier

When you say no velocity for charge cards, do you mean they truly don’t care how many you apply for or is it just a separate calculation from the credit cards? Could you theoretically get the Plat, Plat Biz, Gold and Gold Biz all in one month?

And are you MSing for $30k a month? How do you do that with AMEX and the no gift card rule?

Yes- you could get all of those in one month. In fact, many of us got multiple variations of the platinum (Ameriprise, Morgan Stanley, Charles Schwabb, Biz and Regular) at the end of last year to take advantage of triple dipping the airline credit. You’ll have to call as they’ll kick out for duplicate applications, but they manually push them through.

My spend is legit for the company I work for. Almost all shipping. I’m very fortunate, but I also worked out a deal with them to extend the FedEx offers (40% and 25% off express/ground and 25% off freight are current) and I pass those along to the business owners.
So they get $6k between wife and I’s Cards every promotional round (4 months). So $18k a year and they Don’t lift a finger. Win/win for all of us.

Most of the $300k/year they put on a (brace for it) Costco card.

Yes, I get them all of the time! (Although I typically don’t do them. I’d just use the shopping portal to extend the points.)

Ok. So I applied for the US bank business card last week. $500 cash for $4500 spend in like 120 days or something like that. Need to apply for 2 SW cards end of the year so laying low with Chase. I got the we will let you know message.

Got the email today that I was approved!! Yeah. Only with. $500 credit limit. What in tarnation am I supposed to do with that. Was planning on making a mortgage payment and some tuition and be done. Now that won’t work. I can still do the tuition but not much left to be paid. Will have to do $500 at a time and wait until payment goes through and do it again. Or Venmo to my kind kids.

Will this work if spending and paying off right away and spending again. $500 limit is a joke. I did at one time have a bank account for the bonus but closed it so I’m sure that is probably part of the reason. But seriously!!

Not laughing at you! Laughing at the logistics. You might try calling after a couple of weeks or call if you have a purchase that exceeds and try to get it raised a bit. Or raised a lot, lol. $500 would make me feel as if I were still in high school.

As far as having to change terminals, you have a decent set up for that. Even one end to the other for Terminal 3, like G to K or L would be farther than your 1 to 2. Still crossing fingers for you.

Right? Because I’m pretty sure my first Discover Card had a higher limit. 30 years ago.

We made it but now the seal on the engine needs to be repaired. Sounds kind of important!

Ha, yeah that wouldn’t quite work. Although I think on our flights to PHX from BWI, we have gotten a little more than pretzels. DS was lamenting over how he misses the peanuts on SW.

But you can use them to reposition to LA or Hawaii depending on which provides better flights or to break it up from the east coast.
