Chase tax question. How many referrals resulted in a 1099 this past year? Was it 60,000 URs (3 CIP clicks)?

Trying to figure out the best order/plan of attack if I go referring CIP to CIP. Thinking no more than 2 CIP clicks per person if I remember correctly. I am already at 1 for self-referral so I should refer my mom for CIP1, who can then refer my sister for CIP1 and myself for CIP3 and she and I would be at 2 clicks each and safe from a 1099.
Unfortunately, some folks ended up with 1099s this year because Chase made errors in their calculations. Hopefully that won't happen again, but it's possible.

You are 100% correct 😂 I have a pretty decent collection. It also bothers me that Disney changed this one. It used to be $2 less (when full price) and say nothing on it's foot. Now it is slightly more expensive and branded. Nothing against Hawaii, I just didn't get it there! I should have purchased it at Poly last year (I believe @kmc8826 did for her daughter?!)

I wish I'd gotten this for my dd16. She is a Stitch nut (like you!). What a great Stitch!

We got the Stitch on our January trip but they were still there last month (middle of May). Not just at Poly but at HS and MK too. So don’t buy the one online; since you both have upcoming trips you could get the one without it; and with the 20% AP discount.

Speaking of Stitch does anyone know if there is a print available to buy of Stitch and Lilo sleeping on the hammock? It is printed on back of pull down bed in Poly studio. I have the one framed in my basement with Stitch and Pluto confronting each other but the sleeping one is super cute.

Is it a type of treatment where we can stay in the house? I can’t believe we’re having to do this literally two days after getting here...
Bugs in Florida are a fact of life. You stay in your house for the monthly treatments and move out only for tenting. Tenting is usually reserved for termite infestations and cockroaches are held at bay with monthly pest control.

the 6th one "should" trigger it. for 1099, the maximum amount is $600. anything below that doesnt require a 1099 by law.

Thank you! Hopefully they’re still counted as 1cent pp and we can avoid it if possible. I doubt I’m getting more clicks than that from all these small business owners I know :rotfl:

Thank you! I saw him in the MDE app (I honestly hate that they shut down Shop Parks, it was easier for me than loading MDE and finding it in a hidden menu). He will feel more authentic coming from WDW.

Oh I know the print you’re talking about! I’ve think I’ve seen it for sale at Poly before. It’s not coming up in the app, but I will look/ask about it next week. I have the same one with Pluto. It’s called Suspicious Tiki. I got it in 2016 and love it!

Sadly, no upgrade or anything extra at the Hyatt. Unless you count a recently renovated room. We used the visitor toll pass this morning at MCO and it was super easy, once the gentlemen showed who run the program. The Mears Shuttle lady was super helpful with pointing out what to look for.

We did get an upgrade at Sheraton Sand Key at Clearwater Beach since we have an oceanfront balcony. The lounge HH was pretty since make your own cocktails are included. The location is a little too quiet for us though since it is not right in CB.

Sadly, it looks like we are canceling our Aug to Punta Cana. We’ve been multiple times with no problems but all of these news reports has DH spooked and we were supposed to be taking my mom with us. Now to find a replacement vacation.

Glad you got the upgrade. If you are in the room you should get a nice sunset. And, the quiet of the location is one of my favorite aspects. I also like that it adjoins Sand Key park next door and that you can get a view of some sort from most rooms. I need to use my certificates to hurry up and book a couple of nights this November and for February.

@Haley R at least you don’t have a copperhead infestation?! Thats what we had this year in our yard! Really though palmetto bugs are gross but for sure just a fact of life here in the south. The good thing is that means they’ll be easier to treat because everyone is used to dealing with them! (Also don’t let it make you think your house is dirty or anything- seriously they are everywhere around everyones house!)

What about our cats?

Cats also. But your pest guy will let you know. Or should I say the people who book your appointment will tell you in advance.

I learned from experience. We bought a house in Texas back in the 70ties and everything looked fine. Six weeks later we closed and took possession. Fortunately we saw them before our movers arrived, but it went like this: we got some bombs, set them off and went to a motel for the night. Returned in the morning and those things were crawling on the cans.

Called Orkin and they cleaned it up and we lived there pest free for another 4 years.

My John Deere was delivered last night. Still haven't made shed space for it and I can see a squirrel sitting on the yellow seat. Got to go shoo him away...I'm scared he has been running through poison ivy or something and I catch it quickly.

I’m pretty sure the previous owners paid every month for a pest treatment. They just moved out recently so I wonder when the last treatment was. I’m positive we’ll be paying for the treatment too. I do not want to see another cockroach in here.

We’re planning on paying for lawn services and possibly pool care too. Our pool had a cleaner in it but we’ve never had a pool and aren’t really sure what to do with it. So we will watch what they do, learn how to do it, and then I’ll probably end up being the one to do it since I’ll be at home most days
Welcome to the south! Agreeing with the other posters that cockroaches/ palmetto bugs are just a fact of life here, but they can be controlled. Definitely look into an ongoing pest control contract. You shouldn't have to worry about your fur-babies. They should ask about indoor pets, and you shouldn't have to leave for treatment.
Once you get settled, you can look into do-it-yourself spraying and save yourself $$. A combination of Talstar & Suspend have worked for us. We do have to keep a separate contract for termites, however.

Ha, yeah DH doesn’t really like social media and I am pretty sure he would consider this social media :) I just posted. We got “oceanfront” with a nice view of the tennis courts also.We did walk over to the Marriott to check it out since DH had pulled it up and they do have a nicer pool than the Sheraton and given the distance to the beach, we’ll be getting lots of pool time.

Great meeting you too! Enjoy St. Pete!

They are a 50K property versus 35 at Sheraton. I would like to see their rooms and views to see if it would be worth it to me.

:offtopic:
Been meaning to share a short summary our our trip so here goes! We got back from our Disney/Universal/beach trip on Sat night. We had a blast! We spent two nights at PBH, I love UO for the relaxed touring, no planning needed! Just get in line for whatever we’re in the mood for, wo different than WDW! Kids both got interactive wands – those spells are kind of hard! We all had fun with it though. Ate dinner at Margaritaville- nachos were yummy and had a live band who took requests which was fun. Also had Voodoo Donuts for breakfast – they were delicious! Very fresh. Can’t wait to go back for Hagrid’s!

Spent the next 5 nights at BCV (using our DVC points). This was neat because even though it’s our home resort, the little ones had never stayed there (had been staying closer to MK on previous trips). The room was really nice, refurbished since we’d been there last, the kids loved the pool. I even remembered the “shortcut” to Epcot. Oh, and I saw Pete from the Disunplugged! He was filming a review so I didn’t get to talk to him, but I did talk to @WebmasterJackie who was super sweet! Of course we were on our way to the pool and I didn’t have my phone for a pic- just my luck! :rolleyes2 We had a great time at the parks, DD6 rode Space Mtn for the first time, in the front row with hands up! We did EMM at MK and TSL and enjoyed both. We rode SDD 6 times! Such a fun ride. This was our first time in TSL and really enjoyed it! DH and I also got a night out - the kids went to the Captain Hook Pirate thing at the Beach Club, and we had dinner at Homecomin - still thinking about that yummy mac and cheese! Shared a side of it and still had leftovers twice! Had BOG lunch - was disappointed in the change from braised pork to chicken and asparagus instead of green beans. Still good but not near as good as before IMO.

Ended our trip with 2 nights at Vero Beach. Didn’t leave the resort, spent most of the day at the beach, saw a dolphin swimming (super exciting!), and had fun playing in the waves and sand. Such a nice, relaxing way to end a busy vacation.

As far as churning goes, we used SW RR’s and my CP for our flights, my CIP #1 bonus cashout to rent points from David's for VB, and DH’s Arrival + bonus for PBH. We used discounted DGC’s for our Disney Gold AP’s, and seasonal AP’s for Universal that we upgraded UCT tix from last year for $20 total. Our car rental will be erased using my Arrival + bonus (just met the spend today for this!).

I wanted to share since I would never have been able to accomplish this trip at the price we did without this thread and all of the awesome people on it! Thanks so much to everyone who posts! :thanks::thanks::thanks:

Cute pics! Was it super hot???
Classic Citi IT... my statement closed yesterday and I want to check it to see if my 40k is going to post, but statements aren’t available right now!
Keep us posted anxiously awaiting!

Arrived in Johannesburg this morning to JAL confirmations for our outbound flights to Japan for next summer! James at Juicy Miles booked us 2 First Class and 2 Business Class tickets on the SFO to Tokyo Haneda flight using our Qantas miles (recently transferred from MRs). Taxes and fees were a little over $100 per person. Really really happy he was able to get that booked for us while we were in the air. Crossing fingers he is equally successful in booking the return flights. But I’m super happy I decided to engage Juicy Miles to handle these bookings.

There is no such thing as too much Stitch! He is my dd (23) soul mate. Once when she was younger I had to run back upstairs during a tornado warning, to get her fave Stitch because she was so scared he would get hurt. We have so many versions of Stitch, including the GIANT pillow pet one, and we love them all. At some point we are supposed to be getting matching Stitch tattoos but she can't find the perfect design.

For my fellow members of the tinfoil hat club, there was an announcement in r/churning directed at us yesterday:

This seems to be avoided if you use the universal/support-all link rather than a link going directly to a specific card. Also seems like this is from links generated from AmEx owned cards. My SPG and Hilton links, which came from their respective cards, still say "your friend". AmEx's MR and Cash cards seem to be less formal and are on a first name basis now.

I’m about to head to Lowe’s and staples to use my 10% off on my Amex for Disney gift cards.
Does anyone know of a limit at either store?
I usually do around $300 at staples and they always need id and make me feel like a criminal for buying gift cards but I’ve never tried more.
I need $900 today to pay my Disney cruise deposit.
