I can wait and feel better just knowing it’s normal for them. I will have college tuition bills coming next month that I am planing to use DH’s new CIP ( which didn’t arrive yet either) and this AA citi card to meet MSR on both.
Once you receive the trick mailing, it will be about another 4-5 days until you receive your new card. Just fyi, in the future, you can expedite the CIP card.

You'll definitely appreciate the better location! I don't know the restaurant -- are you referring to puffer fish? A family in our group did that and said they are glad for the experience.

If you are thinking about TeamLab you should book tickets in advance. I highly recommend it -- dd and I both loved it!
I'm guessing Sukiyabashi Jiro, of Jiro Dreams of Sushi fame?
If it's Jiro's, I just want to say I am BEYOND jealous!!!
Sorry for the delay, we're in London. Yes, it's Sukiyabashi Jiro Ginza. We were thrilled. I doubt we will see Jiro as we are going at lunch, and he doesn't go everyday anymore (I believe he's 96), but we are so excited. I hope we do well enough to get a picture with the reclusive first son, Yoshikazu, who is also featured heavily in the film. The concierge at Tokyo Station went above and beyond to get this done.

shopDisney and the 15/20/25% off sale going on right now?

I’ll note that Disney raised the price on the Mickey waffle maker from $64.95 to $74.95, and neither were as cheap as when Hot Topic had them. The sale and Ebates should help. Still, these restocks have really hit the eBay resell market hard.

As for the waffle maker itself, I have one and I like it. It makes deep Mickey waffles like you’d find in the parks and resorts. I’ve read it recommended to buy Carbon’s Golden Malted Pancake and Waffle Mix to get as close to authentic Mickey waffle as you can make at home. I’m venturing into the realm of personal taste here, but that mix is a little too dry for my tastes. Your tastes may differ. Carbon’s mix does make really beautifully even golden brown waffles though. I’ve been using my own Belgian waffle recipe and it comes out fine too.

I will note that the waffle maker flips and has 3 molds on each side. But make sure to always push the locking mechanism in before flipping because the plastic twists otherwise when you flip the iron and I actually cracked the plastic around the handle early on (since super glued back together).
I substitute seltzer water or club soda for regular water to help keep waffles light and fluffy. DS and I, also, don’t like the crispy so I always take them out early.

Chase tax question. How many referrals resulted in a 1099 this past year? Was it 60,000 URs (3 CIP clicks)?

Trying to figure out the best order/plan of attack if I go referring CIP to CIP. Thinking no more than 2 CIP clicks per person if I remember correctly. I am already at 1 for self-referral so I should refer my mom for CIP1, who can then refer my sister for CIP1 and myself for CIP3 and she and I would be at 2 clicks each and safe from a 1099.

the 6th one "should" trigger it. for 1099, the maximum amount is $600. anything below that doesnt require a 1099 by law.

I’m not one to generally use exterminators but when we lived in Tampa I used one. Bugs in Florida are nasty.
I’m pretty sure the previous owners paid every month for a pest treatment. They just moved out recently so I wonder when the last treatment was. I’m positive we’ll be paying for the treatment too. I do not want to see another cockroach in here.

We’re planning on paying for lawn services and possibly pool care too. Our pool had a cleaner in it but we’ve never had a pool and aren’t really sure what to do with it. So we will watch what they do, learn how to do it, and then I’ll probably end up being the one to do it since I’ll be at home most days

:offtopic:
Been meaning to share a short summary our our trip so here goes! We got back from our Disney/Universal/beach trip on Sat night. We had a blast! We spent two nights at PBH, I love UO for the relaxed touring, no planning needed! Just get in line for whatever we’re in the mood for, wo different than WDW! Kids both got interactive wands – those spells are kind of hard! We all had fun with it though. Ate dinner at Margaritaville- nachos were yummy and had a live band who took requests which was fun. Also had Voodoo Donuts for breakfast – they were delicious! Very fresh. Can’t wait to go back for Hagrid’s!

Spent the next 5 nights at BCV (using our DVC points). This was neat because even though it’s our home resort, the little ones had never stayed there (had been staying closer to MK on previous trips). The room was really nice, refurbished since we’d been there last, the kids loved the pool. I even remembered the “shortcut” to Epcot. Oh, and I saw Pete from the Disunplugged! He was filming a review so I didn’t get to talk to him, but I did talk to @WebmasterJackie who was super sweet! Of course we were on our way to the pool and I didn’t have my phone for a pic- just my luck! :rolleyes2 We had a great time at the parks, DD6 rode Space Mtn for the first time, in the front row with hands up! We did EMM at MK and TSL and enjoyed both. We rode SDD 6 times! Such a fun ride. This was our first time in TSL and really enjoyed it! DH and I also got a night out - the kids went to the Captain Hook Pirate thing at the Beach Club, and we had dinner at Homecomin - still thinking about that yummy mac and cheese! Shared a side of it and still had leftovers twice! Had BOG lunch - was disappointed in the change from braised pork to chicken and asparagus instead of green beans. Still good but not near as good as before IMO.

Ended our trip with 2 nights at Vero Beach. Didn’t leave the resort, spent most of the day at the beach, saw a dolphin swimming (super exciting!), and had fun playing in the waves and sand. Such a nice, relaxing way to end a busy vacation.

As far as churning goes, we used SW RR’s and my CP for our flights, my CIP #1 bonus cashout to rent points from David's for VB, and DH’s Arrival + bonus for PBH. We used discounted DGC’s for our Disney Gold AP’s, and seasonal AP’s for Universal that we upgraded UCT tix from last year for $20 total. Our car rental will be erased using my Arrival + bonus (just met the spend today for this!).

I wanted to share since I would never have been able to accomplish this trip at the price we did without this thread and all of the awesome people on it! Thanks so much to everyone who posts! :thanks::thanks::thanks:

Cute pics of your family!

Saw Toy Story 4 tonight with DS18 and DD16. It’s fun that they still get excited about new Pixar movies. Me too! It’s amazing how they can tell pretty much the exact same story every time, and yet each time it’s hilarious and fun to watch. I also enjoy Randy Newman’s music. I told DD that and she said, isn’t he the guy that wrote the song about short people? Lol :rotfl2: Those lyrics wouldn’t fly today.
We’re going tonight. Hearing from trusted sources that it’s very good.

Haha they had a huge tv there too. We don’t actually have cable or anything anyway (only Netflix). We play our Xbox and wiiu sometimes though.

We don’t really have much stuff and knew most of the things that they had planned to leave. We’ll just end up taking a load to goodwill I’m sure. The moving van is scheduled to come anytime between now and July 2.
I'm way behind by maybe 10 pages, but I just saw you say you found a cockroach in your sink. If there is one that you see, especially a live one, many more could be hiding.

Don't play around with this if you've never had them before. Get Orkin (or some other well qualified exterminator) and have your house treated immediately. Then, continue treatments.

I've lived in southern states (with palmetto bugs), apartments, on base military housing and now we have to treat our rental house because they were brought in there. You can push them back with over the counter applications, but if you want them gone, let the pros handle it and continue treatments. I was just sick when I saw them in the rental.

If left alone, they will get into everything, including your toaster, microwave, coffeemaker, tv's, all small appliances, inside the walls, under your sink, you name it. I wish I didn't have past experience with this to relate, but if you haven't had to deal with it, don't play around with sprays and bug bombs....they are not effective enough to eliminate the problem.

I had no problem with my upgrade...I think Amex likes to get (and keep) Plat members, maybe?

LOL- one of the main reasons I quit my job 7 years ago. It was horrible 😕

I’m missing my kids so here’s a shot
Awwwww!

Is it a type of treatment where we can stay in the house? I can’t believe we’re having to do this literally two days after getting here...
