Do I have to be under 5/24 to get either the Citi AA Biz or the Barclay Aa Biz? I am 4/24 until Aug and I think I might go the the Amex for the 6% on groceries. Is the usual offer 200 and is now 250?
Not sure what order to go for these cards. Would like the AA for my Disney hotel but also like the 6% on groceries and streaming. (Of course this is if I can get post the no bonus pop up I have gotten for my last Amex apps)

You don’t have to be under to get the Citi or Barclay AA cards. Barclay is more sensitive than Citi and Amex so I’d recommend doing that one first.

That's what my boys actually requested that we do in June since our flight arrives at 10 pm. We'll pick our rental car in the am and head to Clearwater Beach for 3 nights then head back to Orlando for the rest of the stay.
SW changed their flight schedule and normally we'd land at 11pm or midnight. Now it's 1:30am :crazy2:

hahaha, nope! I have a 20 and a 3, lol. I'm sure I'll be embarrassing my daughter at some point. I was cool with my son because I was so much younger than the other moms. This time around I'm the old one! Thank you for the bday wishes :)
Ah that’s quite the gap!! I remember being the young mom! Sigh!!!

Thank you! Had you used the $300 for that year (when you PC'ed back to it and then had the $300)? I had used the $300 for 2019. Just PC'ed it to CFU. Wondering what happens if we PC back in Aug? New $300? I don't even know if we will. I would only do it because I could benefit from the 1.5x redemption. Lately, there hasn't been anything of interest through UR for us.
Ok so here’s my plan. My CSR AF hit in Sept I think so I wish I got the ball rolling on this early. I have x2 CFs and a CSR. DH has x1 CD and x1 CFU.

1. Once I have August trip figured out PC my CSR to a CF. Max out grocery category.
2. PC my CF#1 (grocery already maxed out) to CSR. Use travel credit. DH is old AU on this card. Get him global entry with his AU card and GE for myself or one of the kids. Once AF hits on this card PC it back to a CF in time for next quarters fun.
3. PC DHs CFU to a CF. Our 3xUR ran out and I just don’t value the 1.5UR vs 2.5MR on BBP (if Schwab cashout happens which is in the plan)
3. When I need CSR again (which I will) I REALLY value the travel redemption have used it for hotels, flights, excursions PC CF #2 to CSR. Travel credit, get GE for the rest of us (DH old AU on this card too). Wait for AF - rinse/repeat

@wendow thought. PC your CSR to a CF instead. Get 3x MCMG $500 a grocery store. Load to Plastiq and pay your mortgage. You’ll get 7500UR minus $18 mc fees minus $15 plastic fee. That’s still at 4.4% return without any grocery rewards (if applicable) and I think you have Kroger (which I’m jealous of). Then is Q3 isn’t lucrative go back to CFU

I've never been the "young" mom since I had DS at 36 but, luckily, no one would guess and DS still thinks I am pretty cool and am allowed to go on field trips so I am good with that.
I had DS at 30 DD at 33 but around here (metro Boston) it seems more people wait and have kids mid 30-early 40s. But I’m so far not too uncool. My friend says I speak fluent 12 year old boy!

Yeah - I had double dipped the Travel Credit then PC'd it. Looks like I will be able to double dip again. Yeah!!

I was just thinking that with Metabank MCGCs coding with a 1% fee on Plastiq, buying them using a card with a high bonus at grocery stores or office supply stores, especially when there’s a deal (or even if you pay the $5.95/1.19% fee on a $500 MCGC) to pay bills on Plastiq may be more lucrative than CIP coding 3x again but incurring a 2.5% fee.

Forgive that word salad. Typing on the go! :crazy2:

Trying to call Citi to set up DHs card account :badpc::badpc::badpc::badpc::badpc::badpc:
The guy is like you need to go to citicards.com and click register. It tells me citi.com is temporarily unavailable. He's like, No! Citicards.com! Ok, but that redirects to citi.com and it tells me it's unavailable...

Got transferred to another rep. She tells me there is a typo in DHs DOB...

Got some pages to catch up on, but an update on my CIC app. I have been approved!! I did have to speak with someone though. I called the status line this morning, and it had changed from two weeks to 7-10 days. It was a strange feeling to hear that for the first time, lol, but I figured it had to do with my fraud alert, so I hit 0 to speak with a rep, and that is what it was. I got transferred to verification, and once their checks were satisfied, the rep congratulated me on being approved. The thing I found odd, though, was that one of the verification checks was to text a code to my cell. Not unusual, but what I found strange was that she asked me to tell her the number they should text to. I assume she was double checking that against their info, but wouldn't it have made more sense just to text to the number they have and see if I got it? Seems weird to ask me for the number they should text a verification check to. Whatever, glad to be approved....

So the text thing is weird, but I also think they still have a disconnect between the application and the account info. Last year when I got mine both the email and phone number was missing so I had to call in to setup my account since it couldn't verify my info on the site. When I called they asked for a number to text because it wasn't showing. They aren't the first company to ask for the number to text to verify my identity and I'm sure it won't be the last. It's only a puesdo security feature.

We already have two CF that I’ve not even touched so maybe I can try this. Thanks for the idea!
