I'm finally getting around to Citi's verification request for an AA mailer application, where they want either a copy of tax returns or pay stubs to approve the card. I haven't done this before, so I'm stopping to think about it. Anyone who's ever done this, did you have any issues just sending a tax return? I guess it's not a big deal - they already have my SSN, address, phone number, email, (self-reported) income... does it really matter? Did you redact anything?

They said I could fax or email, and lol if I'm gonna email a tax return un-encrypted.

Some reason, i cant add my BBP to Venmo... im not sure if that applies to all amex cards now...

Not that it will exactly answer the question but this came up the other day on r/churning:
https://www.reddit.com/r/churning/comments/bb6kgs/discussion_thread_april_09_2019/ekguawm/

Interesting about this since I just did a survey through swagbucks, so not with Amex, about Amex adding both venmo and paypal to the amex app. It'll let you split payments, send money fee free from your amex and apply money you receive directly to your amex card without going through a bank. Seems weird to me and unnecessary unless there's ways to exploit it, which I doubt because now they have more eyes on it all.

Does anyone have a recommendation for Marriott Seattle Hotels? We are staying there 2 nights before we cruise.

Where are the hotels located? Living here I haven't stayed at any and off the top of my head I only know where a few are located. It also depends on what you want to do. Generally the downtown area is good because you can walk, take the lightrail or the monorail to where you need/want to go. It's a hilly city but it is walkable.

For my MDD I didn't get two instant approvals either. I went for the CSP got an instant approval. the next day I did the Hyatt to go to 6/24 and I didn't get approved until weeks later. So don't worry too much. Its still possible you can get the CSP approved.

It's a little shakier getting the 2nd Sapphire product approved later though, because of the 1 Sapphire rule. I think it has happened? But I've definitely seen reports of people who let it take it's course and got denied after a few days stating they already had a Sapphire card.

@bernina if you really want the CSP I'd wait a bit and HUCA.

When I sent mine to BoA since it's a joint return I just redacted hubby's SSN, they don't need that, and our direct deposit info. The rest is innocuous for us, there's nothing on any of the numbers that could be useful to anyone else. I debated about redacting the AGI since you can use that on the IRS sites but figured that was going too far and might look odd (especially if someone who can do math has the rest of the info anyway. although there's something to be said for making them work for it )

Thanks, that’s what I’ll do in a bit (at work and don’t really want to do the call from my desk). Just so odd every time I call it says “please hold while I transfer you...”, no automated message. Since I have a Chase business login where my personal cards show up I can’t check the status online either. I know I’ve gotten this message in the past but I swear after I HUCA several times it would give me the automated status and not immediately transfer me to a rep. The fun of Chase :)

So, this was 15 years ago, but we stayed at a Springhill Suites downtown and were close enough to walk to many of the sights. (We stayed a few nights before a cruise out of Vancouver and took Amtrak to Vancouver because the airfare was better to Seattle). I would suggest checking more recent reviews though!

There is also a Courtyard near Pioneer Square, which is an area we enjoyed walking around our last visit.

I’m bummed...my RR’s just posted from my SW Priority. Statement closed yesterday, and no bonus. I met spend last Weds. April10. So I guess that wasn’t early enough to get it on this statement. At least I hope that’s it and I didn’t mess up on the application from the special in flight link. Everyone, ease my mind and tell me my 50,000 will post with my next statement. I did end up spending well over the $2149, so I did calculate the fee in there. I also got my $75 travel credit already too and did count that in my total as well. Main thing is that I get my points before the next flight release date for flights after Nov. 2.

Okay, off off topic but I just want to share. I like to watch birds. And I have a huge window facing my back yard - floor to ceiling and 12 feet wide, so I can really see a lot from my chair while having my wake up coffee.

So, this morning after feeding the grands, dog, cats, cockatiels, I then put the usual few cups of seeds in the bird feeder. I was a bit later, as - you know - the grand kids!

I see a lot of birds and a few squirrels every day. Today was different - at the same time I had Mr and Mrs Cardinal, Mr and Mrs BlueJay, Mr and Mrs Mourning Dove and Mr Red Bellied Woodpecker, plus the usual dozen finches and a couple of small birds I haven't figured out yet. What was different was to have them all at once! Very colorful on the feeder and in the green grass below! None of these are rare or endangered, just so nice to see them being one big family. I stood up to get the camera, and whoosh they all left!

Okay - this was just one little thing that makes me happy! I just wish I'd gotten a picture and I would share.

We enjoy watching the birds at our feeder and yard also, similar types to yours. A couple of days ago we were eating dinner and saw a pileated woodpecker on a dead tree. By the time DH got his camera it was gone and the pictures I took with my phone are poor. We often get a flicker, but this was the first of the bigger woodpecker.

I saw one at our house for the first time last year and was stunned at how big it was. We have plenty of woodpeckers, but I'd never seen one that big before!

I want to make sure we are in a safe part of town, but a short drive (20 mins or less) to the Seattle Port.

probably not the answer your looking for, but have u considered hyatt instead? i did Hyatt @ Olive8 last year. was 15k UR per night.

I was looking at Marriott because I have points with them and was going to use my UR's for flight, but I will keep Hyatt in mind if I can't find anything doable.

The best! Reminds me I need to show my dd's. Pat is from my college years. Good stuff back then from SNL. Not so sure today.

Pat would never work today. My DD in CA has a non-binary gender co-worker who uses the they/them pronouns. It is a real-life Pat situation which is not funny in today's world.

It is a shame that kids these days have no idea that SNL used to actually be funny...I'm sure everybody has their favorite era (70s, 80s, 90s) but I'd imagine almost everybody here can agree that from the mid 2000s on it's just gotten pretty terrible...

I've been watching since the first season and it has been uneven over all those years. I still DVR it and find some skits funny each week.

Called recon and they asked to verify income (read the whole list of what qualifies, etc.). I forgot they did the same when I called on the CSR yesterday. Officially approved for MDD!!!

Yes, Pat is a sketch that looks very different today than it did when it aired, like so many things people used to joke about without even thinking about it (mental impairment, homosexuality, sexual harassment). I hadn't even thought of that until you mentioned it. My teen has several acquaintances who prefer they/them to gender specific pronouns. I have absolutely no objection to people making choices about their own identity/how they want to be addressed, but gosh I wish we could come up with something that is both gender neutral and NOT PLURAL! Fluid gender expression is a-ok with me, but bad grammar gets to me! Could we say "E" instead of he or she rather than they?

Yep - like most comedy skit shows, there are a lot of meh skits in any season. We only remember the good ones from any era. That said, it has been years (maybe decades) since I was routinely awake when SNL airs!

I can see my Chase Savings bonus is pending. Hurry up and post so I can move the funds where they will earn better interest. Then I'll just move $500 in and out for the next 3 months until I can close the account.

My mom turned 76 today and has been having some health issues lately and since she enjoyed her time in Punta Cana with us so much a couple of years ago, I quickly booked SW flights and our favorite resort for an Aug trip. Two rooms, all-inclusive for 5 nights for $1756. The SW flights I booked on points. I put everything on my CSR just in case something happens and she can't travel. Debating whether to use my and DH's Arrival + when it gets closer to the time to pay the hotel off and use our points to pay. I, also, might use my Plat GE credit for her since I have no other use for it and it will make it easier when we get back to the States and clear customs.

Now I just have a July vacation I need to plan since I have June covered and now Aug.
