At least you're getting SOMETHING.... Im in a dry hole.
Hmmmm that sounds like my business - we might be competitors :rotfl2: I’ll be looking to that card in the not too distant future. (Actually probably two of them - one for each player).

OK, to clarify. The Capitol One card that I have that was opened in 4/17 is a CO Venture. The card that I am an AU on that my husband signed me on in 2/18 is a Chase Freedom Unlimited. I believe both Chase Disney Visa's were just regular rewards cards. I cut up the one I cancelled, so don't have it anymore. The one I presently have, my 15 year old daughter is an AU on. I had opened the one Chase rewards card getting $200 and then they sent me a pre-approved letter to open another one where I got a $200 gc and a $50 gc since my daughter was an AU and used the card as well. Yes, I would be interested in joining reddit but I am just learning about this cc stuff. Yes, I clean houses for family and they pay me, so perhaps that is a good business to say I am in. I know most like the Chase ink preferred on here.

I did go onto Experian and sign up for my credit report. They told me on there that my score was only 711. It was 797 and 810 on trans/Equifax? I wonder why the big difference. I don't know why it would be so low. This is why they scored me low:

Payment history-Very Good
Amount of debt-Exceptional
Credit history length-Exceptional (this means your old, Lol)
Amount of New Credit-Fair (says inquiries in last year-2)
Credit Mix-Exceptional

I have a $217 collection under payment history for Sprint which screwed up the 4 phones we bought/service over 2 years. Got them all the same day and when the contract ended and I went to T-Mobile (because they sucked), they said 2 of the phones had a 25 month contract. Dealing with them was like dealing with a 2nd grader. They wanted me to pay for ending my contract early for the two phones, even though we didn't. The girl who set up the 4 phones at the beginning of the contract was illiterate. I even had the district managers cell phone number due to this. Anyway, not sure how long this will stay on my credit report. I haven't had Sprint for 14 months now. Looks like they keep putting it on my credit report like it just happened.

Is that odd that my Experian score is 100 points lower then the other two (or close to it)?

I also recently closed 3 cc accounts (before I started reading about cc on this thread). One was a citicard that I opened 1/2016, one was a Chase Freedom that was opened around 4 years ago and one was the Disney Chase Visa. I stupidly thought this would Help my credit score not having a lot of credit cards open in my name. Oh well, I will just have to wait out my mistakes.

Thank you so much for your help. Wow, 7 years. Yikes. TBH, there is no way I will pay 1 penny more for Sprint. I sent back the phones, after speaking with the agent and him telling me everything was fine and then like 6 months later I got a letter saying I owed them money. It was the worse company I have ever dealt with. At the time, I didn't care if they sent it to collections because I knew I wasn't going to be buying anything on credit. I have never had one late payment for a credit card, mortage payment, car payment ever. So it's just the Sprint BS. I think I might have the original 4 contracts that show we got all 4 phones at the same time. I don't know if I have the patience or time to fight with them tho because dealing with them was a nightmare. I will think about it. Yes, my two other scores 797 and 813 are with CreditKarma but I just looked and my score with Capitol One is the 711, same as Experian.
Here is what is happening. Sprint hit you with a 30 day late, probably in February or March of last year. This turned into a 60 day late, then a 90 then a 120 as it wasn't paid. After hitting you with a few 120s they took a charge off so they could take it off of their business ledger. This is what you are seeing now, and it is actually better than showing 120+ day late every month. Your score will go up some if you satisfy the collection, your credit report should show who has the collection, Sprint usually sells them pretty quick after a CO, you can contact whoever they sold it to and try to settle it for less. Without that satisfied, your credit score can't move up. Good Luck, if you're looking for more help and information, head over to the forums at myFICO, they have some great credit minds over there.

I'm strongly considering going full grAAvy with personals too. If I do that, I'll prob keep DW where she is so that she can re-up the SW CP at the beginning of 2020. I'm thinking this has got to go away soon so why not scoop up as many as I can now.

Omg this is me. We’re getting money back from taxes, I think hmm maybe we should get a new mattress. Check prices. Nope. Too expensive. I am still considering looking at Bobs Discount Furniture but I would love a great mattress if I could make myself part with the money. The best sleep I get is at Dolphin, I love their beds. But I think the sheer exhaustion from days at the parks also helps.
I LOVE my Bobs mattress..... I had a king for 13 years.... it wore out (jumping kids lol) and we replaced with two different sears models(cue previously mentioned sears horror stories) which were so bad we GAVE the last one away to my ds (I paid $1000 for it:faint:) and went straight back to Bobs, tried all the mattresses until I found my perfect one (again) - this was 4 years ago and I couldn't be happier....I LOVE my mattress sooooooo much! and it cost less than $1000!!!

Perhaps responding to Disney’s official twitter messages will get some attention.

If you’re still interested in playing the twitter shame game consider typing your own thoughtful and SAD message as a reply. Use some of the same hashtags I did to have them show up in searches together lol.

Preview of snacks to be offered on SW Hawaii flights:

Nothing surprising...no hot meals. I will link to news thread also. :)
ew. the same junk my food allergies prevent me from eating on any swa flight anyway.... so my usual mo of bringing my own food won't change...that's the one thing I loved about JB flights...all the delicious snacks (that I can eat!) and drinks just there to take when you need one.....

Just tried to buy Visa Gift Cards at my local SAFEWAY to take advantage of the no fee promo on the AP and was told 'can't buy any gift cards with a fee' with a credit card.

Ahh, you are me! I've even priced out the Dolphin bed.

All right, you made me look, since you mentioned GCH. I am rather fond of GCH for our DLR visits. I picked 2 nights in June just to see and it is 175k miles! If I didn't use AA miles for international flights up front with @PlanePrincess I could see myself hopping on the grAAvy train and using AA miles for GCH on our DLR trips. But that isn't the case.

I guess knowing I can book a $25,000 first class RT flight for less AA miles flying on JAL to go visit Tokyo DL or TDS again is what will prevent me from ever using AA miles for GCH. I will say that using AA miles for GCH is still far more reasonable (even for me) than trying to use Amex MR points

I know it's tough to get a DVC point stay at GCH if it isn't your home resort, unless you are super flexible on dates. The hotel side via DVC points is an option though which I have used before.
Well if rumors hold and I can’t use AA miles for a China trip, I may use for GCH. But 90k miles per night is :scared1:
For us though, no DVC and no way I have cash for that. I have wanted to stay there since forever. We have Stickley and Arts & Craft style furniture in our house. There use to be a big convention in California for Craftsman/Arts & Crafts Style held at GCH. I always wanted to go and have wanted to stay at GCH since I first saw pics, way before I was a Disneyphile.

Hey @Lain (and anyone else mattress shopping), I got an email this morning for 10% off a Casper purchase including a mattress with code Cozy. Ends 2/25.

Lol!! I really do think AA miles for Disney hotels could be aptly named the dark side. To those who have a viable flying use for these points we must seem crazy!
That’s not the only reason I think you’re a little crazy ;)

I’m a sixth grade reading teacher, and I just had to post and love on that fact that you read to your 11 year old! I wish all parents would!
Our DS hates reading (or won’t admit he likes it now) and our nightly reading to him has become him reading to us. On weekend nights he can use the Kindle to stay up late and read by himself. Last night I bought him a new book, he returned an hour later saying he finished it! Of course it cost me $5 and it was a silly book called Fart Squad, but at least he’s reading.

Thank you for sharing that! I still have an open Amex spot but have already had the old version of the Ascend and so has DH. I am thinking we can each get the no fee version for the bonus, upgrade bonus to Ascend and then upgrade that to a second Aspire card. I hope @SouthFayetteFan didn't just :faint:

Just watched the video. I had no idea that you could get the sign-up bonus 3 times! I currently have the Aspire and the business Hilton card. Is there any way I could get another bonus w/o a hit on my 5/24 score? Don't want to sound greedy but I was reading about the Waldorf Astoria Maldives yesterday and think we *may* go there instead of the Conrad, but of course it is more points (I have enough for the Conrad currently).

I hear ya. My next suggestion would be Alaska Air award tickets on partner airlines, or Singapore award tickets on partner airlines. Both allow stopovers to be built into the itinerary. I would caution diving into Delta Sky Pesos unless you are reasonably sure they will work. I made that mistake once. DH and I each got 140k Sky Pesos from two cards thinking this should cover a trip to Iceland on a business/first seat and if I was a little short I could transfer some MRs to Delta. When I went to book the actual award ticket they wanted 350k sky pesos for EACH ticket :rotfl2:I wound up using URs to book the flight instead.

Getting stuck with Delta miles is the worst! They’re running 280k pesos per ticket!

I’ll look into Singapore air! I’ve tried to tell this group that if you want free or some parts free on points then you can’t be picky about stopovers or flight times. You have to go where you can get free seats! We’ll see

We can be brave together. I am also going to apply for a CIP after March 1st. I am nervous too, lol. I already lowered my one Chase CL but not the other. Now it’s probably too late. I also have a citi with a CL that is higher than it needs to be.

They won’t care about your citi credit level if anything the higher level helps your overall credit score. As long as your Chase card credit level is around 30% of income you should be fine. In my case like I said I was rather dumb and did not think about it and just applied. I had 5 personal Chase cards at the time and had not lowered levels on any of them. I can’t remember for sure but they were probably at least half the income. And despite the phone call from them they still approved me, so I would just go for it. Good luck!
