Mine posted 5/10. And it looks like the annual fee actually posted 5/1 but I didn’t see it until yesterday.

Still hasn’t posted. I’m going to use my -$95.20 balance to put towards my trip in a couple of weeks and just pay the AF if/ when it posts.

ETA: Sorry I didn't read this correctly the first time. my $100 credit posted on 6/2 @PolyRob still haven't been charged an AF

Credit posted May 6 and AF on 8/1.

I checked mine and still nothing. Maybe it will be my time for the AF once my statement closes

Thats a good idea. DIdn't even occur to me. I really want those coasters!!! I was just thinking 4 trips in the fall and that seemed hard to pull off. Love the 4 days idea.

It is super easy especially if you are staying at an Epcot resort! I walked in and right out 1x in 2016 and the CMs were a little confused until I explained what I was doing.

Great question! I think I'd use them for airfare, probably Europe or Hawaii. We typically fly out of Chicago (International) or Milwaukee (staying in US).

I chatted to close mine a few nights ago. I'm comforted to know that "Citi will always be there for me"

Not from Citi, but I called Amazon and received a follow up email from the person I spoke with. This is a direct quote from the email:

Just disappointing. UPS tends to be busy and also parking is a nightmare. Closest Kohls CS area is ALWAYS a nightmare... I buy less at Kohl's because of that, in case of returns. I have returns in my car I have been putting off... guess I'll put them off until I grab my Amazon item too.

The one time I did an Amazon return in a Kohl’s store it was very easy. They had a cart set up in the store separate from the registers and separate from guest services. They took my item, asked if anything was wrong with it, scanned the email (I think) from my phone, and printed me a return receipt. It was a lot quicker and easier than I expected. I received the money back a lot faster too.

I just checked card match and it looks like I'm pre-approved for the 100,000 Am Express Platinum offer. I can do the MSR but I'm trying to decide if this card is worth it for me. I already have a CSR. All 4 of us already have Global Entry. The Uber credit would be super hit or miss for us, I'd be lucky to use 6 of the months. We live in a rural area and only use Uber when traveling. The airline credit...I guess I could use it for ECBI with Southwest but that is stretching it because it isn't a normal thing I buy. I have Priority Pass with my CSR and the airports we use most often don't have a Centurion lounge. I really want to find a way that this card can be good for me, what am I missing?

Well it does give you 100k MR points, which to me are worth about 1 cent per point. Also, there's the $100 sacks credits.

Same for my DH. He doesn’t mind opening more cards. But he doesn’t want to call unless he absolutely has too. He doesn’t want to manage any of his cards either. He has his own log ins, but I made them and take care of all of them. He will use whatever card I ask him to. But I pay most of the bills and do most of the spending.

I am also in charge of the money. I have ALL THE POWER

So I would math it: value of that airfare - AF + value of the benefits you would actually use. Use that number to determine if the card is worth it to you.

Can a CSP be expedited?

I know CSR is automatically expedited, but the bonus and referral of the CSP is better for my mom. I finally have a timeline of when she needs the next card and it is just under 3 months from her CIP. I will definitely app 2 months+ from CIP, but I want to get the card in hand as close to 3 months as I can without missing the purchase. If expediting isn't a possibility, it will have to be closer to 2 months a few days vs weeks.

@DisneyMandC and anyone else with Sept trips: apparently a bunch of FoP FP's just opened up for the month. I was able to grab FoP for 8:50 am on our AK day (9/27)! I was even able to edit it to move up the time, then move up our Dinosaur time. So excited! Now I just need SDD and SDMT....

Do you have a “How To” set up in the case of the something bad happening to you that he knows how to access? Very serious topic I know and it might seem like a no brainer to some people but it doesn’t necessarily occur to others.

Yes .... I have everything all written out and have also let my daughter know where everything is since she is like me and super organized so I’m sure she would be taking care of it

MRs work well for airfare, and the 100K offer is a very good one.

At my kohl’s you have to go to the guest services desk at the very back of the store. They’re really quick though and I like that the shipping is all on them so I don’t have to worry if it gets lost. The refund gets posted a lot quicker too instead of waiting for me to ship it and amazon to receive it.

I do all the bills and money management here. I think my system is pretty easy that he could just pick it up and do it, but I was just telling him last week that I really want to go over it with him to make sure. I've always intended to write something up, but I just never have. He needs to do the same with all of his crypto-stuff. I wouldn't have a clue how to access any of it.

Part of me wishes he would be more involved. I think he'd respect the budget more lol

In travel (with a bit of credit cards thrown in) news, my DD flew to Norway this week. It's amazing to me that she could navigate it all on her own, from applying to the program, getting her residency worked out, getting housing and more. She had a great day today just sightseeing and walking around her new city.

DD has a PP card that came along with her Amex Platinum card (AU). Ironically, the PP part of the AF/KLM lounge at SFO says that PP members can enter during the 3:30-6:30 window and not after. She arrived well before 6 but was told it was too full and that she could come back at 6:30 and enter then. I was worried they wouldn't let her in after 6:30 but they did. She enjoyed it there and said the food was pretty much the same as when we were there in 2018.

Because her layover in CDG was for a flight in another "Shengen Zone" country, the PP lounge wouldn't let her in. We knew this ahead of time, and I can't remember if she tried to enter or not, but in any event she spent her really long layover there sitting at the gate (like a peasant). Both flights were economy on Air France and she was pleasantly surprised by the food and treats on the flight, and was also happy that Avengers Endgame was one of the movie options since it was over 3 hours or so and that helped pass the time on the 12 hour flight.

Keep in mind for you next visit to check out DVC. There are 5 resorts that hold 5 in a Studio (so I suspect they will compete well against renting 2 rooms elsewhere). And 2 of them are 2-bath Studios (VGF and PVB)! The remaining 3 are BWV, BRV, and BCV.

I'm definitely eyeing those 5-occupancy studios for 2020. We couldn't do that this trip cause my dd19 is going too so we are a fam of 6. We *hope* she is in the DCP starting in Jan and so for 9-mos, we'd only need a room for 5. The 2-bath is big for us so we will be looking for that for sure!
