I am so sorry for your loss. It is very caring of you to keep in touch with her parents. It is the hardest after everyone stops writing and phoning. They will need support. It sounds like she was a wonderful person who will be greatly missed.

So sorry. I lost a good friend when we were in our 20's. It's a hard thing to deal with, took me YEARS and years to get over. Now I can think of her with a smile instead of tears.

I am so sorry. I lost my best friend (also Michelle) 16 yrs ago, when we were 19. It is so so hard.

Thank you all so much I know that Michelle was not the only one whose life was taken too early as many of you have written about your experiences as well. Thanks for sharing with me--in some odd way it brings me comfort. I wish there was a way to bring her mother comfort because I know she has taken it really hard. She came in to pack up Michelle's desk and my friend Jeff said she just looked empty--her daughter was her heart and soul.

Life is really unfair sometimes.

Every night before bed I say a prayer for Michelle's family, another family in particular, and my own family and friends--and I hope God comes through with the strength that we all need to get by.

I really appreciate your kind thoughts As I said before, I usually don't post this type of stuff on the DIS...usually just respond to others and I hang out on the DVC and resort boards a lot too. I just felt compelled to remind everyone that life is precious, take nothing for granted, and love your family and friends everyday like it's your last.
