I lost my Dad

Christmas hasn't been up to much this year.
Two days before, on his 75th birthday, my Dad died.
It was completly unexpected, we were all looking forward to the big party that we had planned for later that day.
We all know that its going to happen one day, and your parents can't live forever, but when it does, it really hits you for six.
The post mortem revealed that he had heart disease, bless him.
Lifes really not going to be the same now without Dad.

Not happy news I know, but I just thought I'd share it anyway.

I understand how hard it is. My Mom passed about 6 weeks before Christmas, it seems life will never be the same.

Just hold on to the memories, and remember how much your Dad loved you.

So sorry to hear this news Alex, I'm sure you must really miss your Dad, he was the same age as my Dad is and I often think about the fact that he's getting older now.

There is never a 'good' time to lose someone so dear but Christmastime always seems even more poignant.

Alex - so sorry to hear about your father. My father too died at Xmas, five years ago.

Your father's looking down on you - he didn't suffer with a long illness and went knowing his family and friends were all to celebrate his life with him.
