I lost my brother to suicide a week into the Michigan stay at home order. He was young, 32, with a 5 year old son. He suffered from depression, and the fear that accompanied Covid was too much for him. I will keep you in my thoughts - it is heart wrenching to lose a sibling. I pray that you have a strong support system.

I was planning on making a doctor's appointment if it hasn't gone away by the time the Covid numbers go down quite a bit. I'm going to go ahead and make an appointment tomorrow. There's no use protecting myself from Covid if I die from a heart attack.

So very sorry. A lot of people are so afraid of covid that it effects them in a lot of other ways sadly including death. I went to the doctor a couple months ago she wanted to do it by video conference lol. I said no. She changed her mind and said I could come in. She didn’t do her usual great job. She usually does a prostate check since my dad had prostate cancer but not this time. I turned 50 a few months ago., haven’t been able to get a colonoscopy done because of covid.

Not due to Covid 19, but as a direct result of it. Because he was too afraid of being infected to seek medical attention when he needed it. Because he let the fear of this virus paralyze him until it was too late. My plea is - if you or anyone you know needs medical help, don't put it off due to fear. PLEASE listen to your body and don't ignore warning signs.

Well I am fine. The doctor is unable to explain the pains I've been having but she said it must be musculoskeletal; an EKG shows it's not my heart. The way she talked to me strongly hinted that she thinks it could be stress/anxiety-related. I don't think so but these days who knows. If it doesn't go away I'll see a specialist when it's a little safer to be out.

I agree with @EveDallas about seeking medical help if you think you need it. In my case it turned out to be fine but it sure does feel good to know that. Even if I don't have anxiety know, I was heading that way with lying awake at night worrying about that pain.

Some people are bad about going to the doctor at the best of times, and I'm sure this is making it worse.

I'm so sorry about your brother, @EveDallas, and I'm glad you have the support of family. I hope better times are coming for you.
