I like this Sketch

These all look great - such creative things you did with that idea. Now I'll have to look at the wedding stuff and see if I can make that work for one of the layouts!

I didn't get a chance to work on this as I had to help DH and DS15 & 11 lift drywall up to the ceiling!!! Oh the joy!! Only 3 more bedrooms to do!

I also had to help DS11 create a prosthetic hand for science class.. thank you to MT for the youtube link!!!! It worked...not exactly the same way but it worked!!!!

My goal is to complete this one tomorrow... my goal is to prep one for Disney 2010 and Christmas 2011...

Everything posted has been gorgeous!!!

OH MY Nan! Your DS11 is building prosthetic hands for science?:eek: Hopefully he's genius-level gifted and my typical but bright DD11 will NOT have to do this...cuz this mama cannot build prosthetic hands over here. That sounds very stressful!:headache:

I love what everyone has done with this sketch. You girlies are so talented and inspirational!

I kid you not Traci... NO, my child is a typical 11yo, straight As but don't ask him to do additional work... my gosh, his head will explode if you do!!!
My DD in genetics isn't even doing a project like this when she had anatomy/phys. (not even when she was in 5th grade!)....

It's not the best project in the world... if we had more time we could do a better one but it does the job and picks up a toliet paper roll (empty one).... it's made of cardboard, rubber bands, tape, straws, string... Well, if your DD get this project you know who to call! We will hook you up..

Love the layouts so far! When I saw the sketch, I knew exactly what I wanted to use it for but haven't found the time to do it.

Question though -- I'm struggling w/the title being on the right hand page -- is it just me being wierd? I know it's not "gospel" that the title should be on the left side of a 2 page layout, but . . .

finally got my photo loaded

That is so pretty! Love the colours and the sparkles.

when I put mine(water one) in the album - the one with the word title - I moved
I just liked it better that way

I had some time to work on this sketch today. Here's what I came up with. The colors are much brighter in real life--getting ready to rain here and the light is really gray. I used swap pieces on this layout. The title was made by DisneyBarlans and the journaling tag & paper piecing was made by Threeiscrazy (miss her--where is she?).

Great LO Traci!!!

I will complete this one tomorrow..maybe not have photos on it...but I will get this done..it's top of my list!!!

very cute Traci....you should get bonus points for using swap pieces :thumbsup2

I saw this sketch when you first posted it, but didn't have time to deal with it. But with school vacation coming up, I'm hoping to have some scrap time! I've got the sketch printed and ready to inspire me!

I have so much trouble finding 12 x 12 double page sketches. Any more good ones that you know of??.................P

sketchsupport.com is good...

there is a section that says 2 page printables on the right margin...click it..and it will open up the sketches and give you measurements!!! I hate trying to figure out measurements.. When I look thru my sketches now I make sure I mark down the measurements for later use...

I had to search online today for single page (12x12) sketches for single 5x7 photos... trying to use different ones for DD's school photos.. I won't part with the 8x10s... LOL

I LOVE this - Y'all have done a GREAT JOB with it - didn't see it when first posted because I was away ( taking MORE photos), but I WILL be using it now!

Okay....I'm finally going to use this sketch. But here's my question....I'm using photos of my DD and penguins at the zoo. Obviously the penguins are black and white. The rocks and background are grayish and DD is wearing a grey hoodie...so the photos are rather colorless and blah. So what to use for those background pieces? First thought was to use black and white prints...but then the whole page is black and white. Maybe B&W prints that have a third accent color? Or go totally away from B&W and go with something bright like orange? Any ideas, suggestions? .......P

I'd use yellow or orange !
