I really wanted to let my kids have a big say so in the planning of the Halloween trip so I let them pick all of my ADR's except for two. I was very impressed at some of the choices. My DD 12 picked most of them. My 10 DS (who is handicapped and limited in speech) only had one request- T-REX so of course that was the first thing I booked. She picked lots of buffets but that is fine. It is easy for my son to pick food at a buffet since he can't read or talk well.

I thought I would post the ressies so that I can share the feedback with her on her choices. She will be thrilled. Thanks!

Day 1
Via Napoli- lunch
California Grill- dinner (My birthday party- I made this one!)

Day 2-
1900 Park Fare-dinner then off to MNSSHP!

Day 3-
Cape May Cafe- dinner

Day 4-
Le Cellier- lunch
The Garden Grill- dinner

Day 5-'Ohana- dinner (our last time there was terrible and I wouldn't have picked this but she insisted)

Day 6-
Mama Melrose- lunch Fantasmic package

Day 7-
Akershus Princess breakfast
Bluezoo- dinner (my 2nd pick)

Day 8-
T-REX- lunch

Day 9-
Chef Mickey's - dinner

I love their picks! I wouldn't worry about O'hana. It's one of our favorites. Im a big fan of the buffets because DS has more choices that chicken nuggets and cheeseburgers and the buffets we went to last time are now on my "favorites" list. Happy Eating!!

I think you should have told DD that 'Ohana was booked. She wouldn't know any better. ;) :rolleyes1

I think that is so sweet to let the kiddos choose all but two, I let my 3 girls choose each one and this is thier choices my 17 year old choose Liberty Tree Tavern (she remembers this place from when she was about 12) My 12 year old chose Crystal Palace for Breakfast ( she loves winnie the pooh) and my youngest wants Cinderella royal Table. She has never been. :yay:

Just make sure your DD17 is aware it is not a character meal anymore.

I always let my kids give me their favorites. Of course, I know what they are going to pick and usually have the basic plan in place before I ask. DD's favorite is Mickey's Backyard BBQ and DS's favorite is Garden Grill. They are both fans of Chip & Dale.

My DH's favorite is Ohana, so I hope you all enjoy!

What a great idea! Love letting everyone in the family pick a place. And I think she did a wonderful job :) :cool1:

I think they made great choices! We love Liberty Tree Tavern and Crystal Palace. I have eaten in the castle once but my kids haven't wanted to go back. We really enjoy the princess breakfast in Norway and go there every trip. Believe it or not that is my husbands favorite breakfast. He says he really likes the potato casserole- I think he REALLY likes the princesses! :thumbsup2

I have never been to the Backyard BBQ! How is it? I have thought about it but I haven't heard many reviews....

Our last trip to 'Ohana was a disaster. They had some major kitchen failures and we ended up getting a full refund. We were gonna skip it for a while but she really wanted to go. I am sure that we will have a great time!

They picked so many fun restaurants :) We have just one child, 8 years old. So when we go, everyone gets to pick a restaurant (including DH and me), and we keep that rotation going until all of our table services are filled. We always have our DD pick first. And she always tends to pick Chef Mickeys for her first choice :)

I think you all did a really great job! I would be happy to tag along on that list!

On Day 1, I recommend making Via Napoli really early and California Grill late. We did both of these on Day 1 of our trip, and we were still comfortable from lunch when dinner rolled around (and were stuffed by the end of dinner!).

Have fun! Her choices look great.

So sweet to let you children pick the restaurants. For our next trip (which is exactly one year away today!!!!) I might have to let my DS(8) pick a restaurant or two. The DD's (3 and 1) wouldn't care, as long as we get to Pecos Bill's CS to get their cheese fries!

I could only get a really late reservation at The California Grill so there will be quite a space in between. We have never been to Via Napoli so we are really looking forward to it. How did you like it?

Great choices! I will probably let my kids help with picking once they get to that stage. We haven't been often enough for them to have favorites. Have a great trip!

Cape May Cafe!! Yum yum. I was so impressed by this restaurant this past trip. We stayed at BCV before and just always walked past it to get to the pool.:confused3 I can't believe what we were missing. The waitress asked me if I wanted a bucket for all my snow crab leg shells!!!:rotfl:

We did basically the same thing for our next trip. We will be eating 5 ts meals so my husband and I and each of our sons picked one restaurant. This is what we ended up with.

my choice: California Grill (during wishes!) This will be our first time there.
my husband: Boma (this is something we have to do every visit)
Son age 13: Yahtsman Steakhouse (he LOVES steak) (first time)
Son age 12: Teppan Edo (fist time)
Son age 10: Chef Mickey (another must do every trip)

Were getting free dining again and the last time a ts meal everyday was too much food. We were literally sick of the sight of food by the end of the trip. That's why we decided to try out two signatures this trip and only have 5 ts meals. I'd love the hear what people think of the restaurants we're trying for the first time.
