I left my freezer open...

We have a second fridge in the basement and I must have left the door open a smidge earlier today. I had an ice cream cake for DH's b-day and a ton of other ice cream in there also. I also had a bunch of lean Cuisines and stuff too. Ughh. Oh well at least I did it instead of one of the kids. I was looking for ice in there to put in my cooler for my Mike's Hard Lime's. The evils of alchohol

My 5 year old son leaves our upright freezer open way too often. So far we have been lucky enough to catch it but one day...... So I can sympathize with your frustrations

That has happened here too many times . Now anytime anyone goes down there, I give them the third degree. I check it myself like 4 times each time I do it too!! I have thrown out way too much!

I had an extra fridge in the garage and had the freezer stocked with meat. We have boys who had a band at one time and practiced in the garage. Without telling me, they unplugged the fridge so they could plug in their amp. I didn't find out for days. You can imagine what it was like. I paid the neighbor boy to clean it out for me because no one else would touch it.

My youngest (9) has a habit of slamming the fridge door and the freezer pops open luckily I have caught it open in time.

Suggestion: For those of you with an extra freezer maybe you could tape it shut so then when someone needs to use it they will remember to tape it back up?? hope to help
