My DS15 informed me yesterday that he could now tolerate being in the same room with someone eating Ranch Doritos. I know alot may not understand but those of you who deal with SID will get it! We have been dealing with this since his sense of smell kicked in around age 7 yrs and he's not been able to tolerate being around milk, doritos, ketchup, and other things. They serve these doritos at school so he is learning to cope in the lunch room. He still "can't do it with a whole room full though". It's the small steps sometimes that keep us going.

Yes I can relate, while it it only occasionally we have hte same issues with certain smells
