this is where I post the most and I am sooo excited. I finally hit double digits till our DW trip! I can't believe it! We only get to go once every 3 years and it seems like it has been FOREVER in the making since our last trip. The last time we went was in 05 and when we went Hurricane Wilma hit and we almost didn't go! Hopefully nothing like that happens this time. As it is we almost didn't go because finances have been tight and then with the gas prices and everything else it seems like someone or something has been trying to make this trip not happen as it is LOL.

The last two trips we have always gotten airfare for 199 rt and this time I started looking back in Jan of 08 and it was double that. So I waited for Southwest to release but they don't release till June and the other airlines kept going up and up and I was afraid by the time Southwest DID release it might not be cheap so we went with Delta and paid a lot more than we had budgeted or wanted to but glad we did because like we feared Southwest WASN'T cheap like we were told they would be! And since we bought our Delta tickets in June they have cancelled or changed the flights at LEAST 4 times! :headache: We are staying in our timeshare again but I fear that with all these price increases this will be our last trip.

We are also going over Thanksgiving week with I have NEVER done so it will be a LOT more crowded then the last two times. We went in May and Oct the last two times. But we specifically had to do it this way as the kids couldn't miss the school this time as they are older and we wanted to go to experience the holidays.

But I am so excited to FINALLY be in double digits. It still seems so far away when I say November and yet the time has really flown when I think about it so I am hoping that the 3 and a half months flies by.

And then my NEXT trip will be the ladies trip!! I am looking forward to that as well! Then I will be spending more time on the ladies thread and getting to know you all better. I have been WAY wrapped up in this trip for now but after it is over I will be putting more effort into that one!

Anyway just wanted to share my excitement! :)

I hear ya! We just found out that we are going to WDW in December and we are bouncing off the walls (the trip was a partial gift). We haven't been since 2005 either! Have a blast- feel free to PM me any holiday in WDW tips that you have as we'll be there a few weeks after you and this is our first time there during the holidays. I hope it is just as great as the DLR at Xmas time!

Have a great time! We went to WDW for the first time last year and we LOVED it!! Make sure you have those hard to get ADR's lined up, especially since you're going during a busy time.

How exciting! I'd probably want to post it here too to share my excitement. I've always wanted to go, but never been. I'm hoping DH and I can go in four more years when the boys are out of school. If I was in in double digits, I wouldn't be able to contain myself either! :dance3:

You know there are WDW boards here, right?

She acknowlged this is where she posts the most, I have no problem with her sharing her excitement with her friends on the DLR board.....popcorn::

I can so relate to your excitement. We booked our DL and WDW trip over 12 months ago and I can't believe we are now just 2 weeks and 1 day out :yay:

We have never done WDW, but it's always been a lifelong dream which is about to become a reality.

I just can't believe I convinced DH to do DLR and WDW in the same trip.

Enjoy the countdown and your trip.

Take care
Angela

That is exciting. We have been to DL countless times and are only 25 days from our first family WDW trip. To help us get ready for the trip, we will be going to DL this Sunday. I guess you just can't have too much Disney.:lmao:

Have fun at WDW!
I second the poster who said make ADRs.
You might not want to get stuck with CS all the time you're there.
Plus they have so many char dining selections, you've got to at least do 1 :)

Have a ball and don't forget to post your TR! :thumbsup2

Have a wonderful trip! It must be so exciting to be in double digits to go to the World!:woohoo: I haven't been to WDW since 2001!:sad1: I was planning on going this month but changed my mind because it was too short notice (I didn't start planning until June) and I knew it would be extremely difficult to get ADRs this late in the game w/ free dining that was occuring at the same time I was planning on being there. So I figured I'd wait until next year and go to DL again instead. :yay:

Kel, I know how long you've been planning this trip. I hope you have the time of your lives!

aahh what a sweet post!:goodvibes

I know how You feel. We used to take our children to WDW each year then we moved so we now go to Disneyland.

I hope Your trip is super great and that You have safe travel!:thumbsup2

Thanks SO much everyone! And yes I know about the DW world boards and I venture over there too once my trip gets about a year out but these boards are my true home! :) I am an AP holder to DL and we go about 2 or 3 times a year to DL if we can afford it ;) So this is where I post the most and everyone is so friendly here! :)

I only venture over to those boards when I have the random question and when my trip is getting close and I did make a post about being in double digits but no one even replied. That is why I like this board so much. You guys are all so great!! I know I can always come here and everyone is always so nice!

It seems like just yesterday it was 400 some days and I can't believe it is FINALLY double digits. As I said sometimes when I think about it it still seems a long way off and luckily we have taken a few trips to DL to take our minds off of the waiting LOL but our last trip was a month or so ago and now I have nothing but school and soccer games to keep me occupied until the trip.

And oh boy don't worry. I had my priority seating calendar ALL firgured out. RIGHT at that 180 day mark I started making my calls. And I am in CA so I had to literally call EVERY day at 4 a.m. for over a week to get all my ADRS! THAT was a pain but I didn't want to wait till AFTER the times because of it being Thanksgiving. Plus we had a dinner at CRT and Candlight Procession and some other really difficult ADRS to get so it was a challenge but I got pretty much everything I wanted! :)

Everything is pretty much done. All my airfare is bought and PAID for as well as my park tickets. I have my Mickeys Very Merry Christmas party tickets paid for and received! The only thing I have yet to get is my Universal tickets. I made the mistake of waiting a bit too long and the price went up on me but I DID get my park tickets before the price increase. And my mom bought an AP and is going to get the DDE so we should hopefully save quite a bit on meals while we are there! Our rooms are paid for and we are getting a GREAT deal on the Doubletree at Universal the first few nights and then after a week at our timeshare I got 65 a night at Pop Century for our last few nights which is also Paid! So not only is everything done but my vacation is already paid for almost 4 months in advance!! The only thing I have to worry about is food! Of course we all know how spendy THAT can be LOL but I have it saved up. Thanks to the lovely tax rebates ;)

Believe me I have planned and double planned this trip. The last thing we need to do is book our rental car which we should be doing probably in the next week or so.

WHEW!

Now I just have to WAIT! :)
