I am going to be away for the Amazing Race finale!!!! Do the tv's in the resorts offer any programming other than 'disney' tv?

When is the season finale? I love that show! They are down to just a few teams now. Is it next week?

Hi Anne,
Yes the t.v.'s have a variety of channels and the network channels. You'll be able to watch Amazing Race. I love that show. I've been watching it since it first started. Have a great time at WDW!!

Thanks!! I would worry the power would go off and my machine would not tape!! I believe the season finale is the second week of May.
I have been watching since the 2nd season and I think Boston Rob has made it even more irresistable this season (until he messed up on the last episode, anyways!). Enjoy the last couple of episodes!!

My wife likes that show. Can you get DVR where you are? Then you'd never miss an episode nor worry about VCR failures.

I dont think that is pathetic at all. We were just saying last night that the final episode of The Apprentice was going to be on while we are away and we dont want to miss it! We are hoping we will get the channel in the hotel room!! :teeth:

LOL...I was upset cuz the last time we were at WDW we missed a new episdoe of "The King Of Queens" which is our favorite show.

Now that actually IS pathetic, cuz it is not like a reality show where you want to see who wins...just a sitcom that I am sure will be repeated umpteen thousand times! Oh well, that is the only show on TV I watch, nad I am addicted!

Enjoy your trip!

Oh I don't think that's pathetic at all. We all have the shows we love. You can't watch the whole season and miss the finale! :)

When we're at WDW or Disneyland and if Survivor is on, I make sure that we leave the parks early so we can watch! :teeth: Especially when the finale was on, I was racing to get back to the hotel room!

This thread reminds me of our trip to WDW in 2001. :teeth: On our FIRST NIGHT THERE we were supposed to stay for Fantasmic! but it was the same night that the finale' of "Survivor" was on. DH and DSs talked me into going back to the room to watch it! I gave in only because it had started to rain out anyway.

Now....4 years later....I am going to make sure we see Fantasmic! during our trip in July, no matter what! :earboy2:

What is better than the finale to your favorite reality show - watching it in Disney! Grab a Mickey bar and retreat to your room :mickeybar hee hee

I watched the last finale on a giant TV in the CR concierge lounge. :cloud9: It was heavenly!

You will be able to watch it in your room as the standard networks are offered.

LOVE that show. We are also die hards since first season watchers. Thrilled when they ran these 3 seasons so close together!!!! Can't wait for the family version next(on another website I go to one of the families is in the final process of getting on this show) Have fun watching. At this point the only one I don't want to win is the beauty queen-what's up with her POW statement last week- not too Miss America to me.

pheeew because I can't miss American Idol hehehe !!!

They even have DeutscheWelle 24 hours a day!!! (german TV) - so am I more pathethic than you?

:)

A few weeks ago I found 'The 1900 House' but the german version - german reality TV....

If the Amazing Race finale is going to be the 2nd week in May, we will be at Disney so I will have my Tivo record the show for me. This is a must see! DH and I never miss an episode. Thanks for the reminder!

Thank you for asking! We LOVE the Amazing Race. We thought we would miss the rest of the episodes. (We'll be at WDW May 3 - 17th) From the posts I gather we will be able to watch it! Very very happy news! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Now someone please please tell me that the final won't be the evening of May 17th because we will be on the airplane headed for home. :sad2:

We were there in October 04 and there seemed to be quite a few Boston fans who were into watching the World Series. So not wanting to miss something on TV is not pathetic at all. It was at DW where I got hooked on Without a Trace since we made an early night one night.

DH and I were in Disney in June 2002 during the World Cup Finals. The US men's soccer team had never made it that far before and my husband is a huge soccer fan. Since the games were being played overseas (can't remember where) the games were always in the wee hours of the morning. DH would set the alarm at 2:00 am, 3:00 am, or whenever just to watch it. It didn't matter what time they played, he didn't miss it. Now, that is what I call pathetic.

BTW, DH informed me last night that the college world series would be going on during our Disney trip this year. Yippie. :sad2:

:) Great to know I am in such good company :)

CaipiraBob - what is DVR?

java - I agree about the 'beauty queen'...I just about fell over when I heard her say that about being a POW - I found it extremely offensive. Poor guy!

Enjoy the finale everyone!
