I know this is dishonest, but I was just curious..

My flame suit is on and here goes...

My family used to go to WDW every year. One year, my brother and his family came down as well. They weren't staying onsite but we were, for 2 nights at the end of the trip, they stayed in our room. We had 9 people in our room. Yes, 9 ... go ahead tell me what awful dishonest guests we were! Really though, it was just to sleep. They had park tickets and used them as they should but checked out of their hotel on I-drive early to spend a few days with us. They did NOT use the resort pools or anything.

No one ever said anything to us about it. It was tight, and not something we planned on doing and probably nothing we would do again but it worked and was actually kind of fun trying to figure out sleeping arrangements....4 people on the floor makes for a tight squeeze.

Not my idea of a vacation.

We are going down in November with my sister and her family. There will be 6 in our room (DH, DD-11, DS-10, DS-2, DS-3 months) and 4 in theirs (Sis, her dh, DS-3, DD-1). We had to list DS-2 in their room so that their room charge wouldn't be effected and the tickets weren't a problem. The CM that made our reservations knew of our plans and didn't have a problem with it. It could be because my 2 youngest were considered infants though.

Unless you were on the first floor, I'm certain the guests in the room below you knew you had way too many people in the room. Did you ever think about being courteous to the other guests at the resort. How selfish of you.

One child under the age of three does not count towards the room occupancy. Where are you staying?

I'll put my flame suit on then. How would all of you feel if something did happen at the hotel and someone that was listed was injured or killed?
What is your point? The entire resort could burn down without any survivors. So what? Are you making a case for contributory negligence? If so, it won't work.

I would get caught...I always get caught.

Plus...5 people....1 bathroom...that just scares me!

Ut oh ....the disney morality police are back. If you ask me Disney doesnt give a rats a##. I stayed in a room at the ASSPORTS with 6- 23 year old guys, for a week. They knew and didnt do a thing . As a matter of fact we drew attention to ourselfs as we were drunk and doing cannonballs in the Home Run Hotel Pool every night. They dot care do what you want.

Just dont ask for morailty police like safty mom to give you the thumbs up....it wont happen....

ps- GUESS WHAT WE POOL HOPPED AS WELL>>>>>TO THE POLY>>>>>>>AND USED LOUNGES>>>>>>>>>>>>THE NERVE!

I also agree that Disney does not care. We didn't see it on our latest trip, thank good ness, but according to alot of posts here, Disney is certainly lacking in alot of areas of customer service.

Four years ago, we stayed for 3 nights at the BWI with 3 adults and 1 child. Not over fire code, but we didn't tell them because I figured $300.00 a night was enough for a room and to pay an extra $25.00 a night for the extra adult was crazy. This time, we stayed at the Cr tower, 3 adults, 2 children, but we were on the MYW package, so had no choice but to fess up with the extra adult.

I guess it all depends on how your parents raised you. We were taught to follow the rules, even though sometimes we didn't always agree with them. Also, 9 people in a room, even just to sleep, is a bit too third world for my taste.

Wow talk about your passive aggressive!!!!
:earboy2:

To Mickerbaby: Have you had your fill of comments and advice yet? :rotfl:

Ciao!

While I couldn't stay with 6 or 9 people in my room (just thinking about bathroom logistics is giving me the willies!!), we all tend to do what we, personally, are comfortable with. If you are comfortable with 5 in a room set-up for 4, then have a ball. Disney really doesn't care..at least enough to police it anyway. If you want to sleep 9 in a room that's barely big enough for 4, have a ball. I have had neighbors that had 2 people in the room that were loud enough to wake the dead...and neighbors with a 'room full' that were like church mice. Just be courteous...there are others having that once in a lifetime vacation.
And getting two rooms is probably a better idea, in the long run. Two bathrooms, two t.v.s, two bureaus. Much smarter.

Stayed at the POFQ last year - booked room for my daughter and I. My niece came and spent two nights with us. Being a dumb bell donkey - I told the front desk I had a third adult. They sent up extra towels and that was the last we ever heard about it. No extra charge on bill. It was my lucky day!

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: That would be me too. we had to reserve 2 rooms at AKL because we are 6 people with our 4 year old DGD. A lot of money, but I know if there was 1 person caught.....it would be me. My DS and his wife may join us for one night, and I will let the check-in know. If we get charged, so be it. I hope the dining plan won't be an issue, as we have paid for it, and since I don't know DS plans, I cannot add them now. It would be easier if we could.

Wow, I guess I better backspace before I respond to this one.

Plus with first world technology you have cameras in every room anyway.

On our trip last year we had 4 adults and 2 children. 2 rooms at POR. While making the reservation, the cm asked for the names & ages of the guests in each room. I was honest and told her 1 adult & 2 children in 1 room and 3 adults in the 2nd room and she said "no-I am going to put it down as 2 adults in each room that way you don't have to pay extra but you can sleep where you want."

So technically, I didn't sleep in the room I was registered in. And sometimes, one of the nephews would sleep in the room with me or Grandma. Some nights, both boys would be in our room and my brother would have the other room to himself. Did we feel like we were breaking the rules? NO!!

While I am confessing: 2 years ago my mother spent 2 nights in our room with us at All Star Music and we didn't tell anyone. At the time it didn't seem like such a big deal since there were only 2 of us staying in the room......

If you have kids park hopper passes how would they know with a crowd of a few thousand entering the park constantly if an adult is using them? I have 2 older tickets and i'm going to get new tickets in the future. What's to prevent a family of 4 from buying 4 kids tickets?

What if the older tickets were bought for a 5 year old and now they are 11? What happens then?

Your tickets are scanned and they would know you are using child tickets for an adult. As far as a child growing up they will change the passes to an adult for no charge at WDW. The child has to be with you to do this.

This is fine. The problem is the fire code. The stairways and hallways are only designed to allow a certian amount of people to exit in a predetermined amount of time. Your arrangements did not put more people in the two rooms than was allowed by the fire marshal. Putting 9 people in a room for 4 put other guest at risk in the event of a fire.

Thanks for the info. That's very comforting to know i do not have to buy 2 adult tickets when i can get the kids tickets exchanged.

i'm sure this is correct according to their policy. However most times i've gone they only look to see if the machine authorizes the pass. Basically they just look at the light to make sure the pass is valid. I'm sure a veteran may overlook this, but the newbie probably won't since they are just learning the routine. :earboy2: Anyway, it would be embarassing to get caught in line with a few hundred angry people looking at you while you hold up the line. This will be me waving back to the peeps behind me saying "sorry." :wave2: j/k :rotfl:
