I know this has been talked about before

We buy the Jackery brand on Amazon - the three charge version is $16-20, and one charge is $12-14. Definitely worth getting ahead to save $$. Also will need to charge them up at night. We have 2 multichargers I got on clearance at Target in the past few years - 1 has a couple plugs and 2 USB spots, so you can plug in a few phone chargers, and charge jackerys on usb - helpful for resorts with only a few plugs spread around room. The other has 4 usb spots and came with a built in fuel rod that charges in there as well.

Fuel Rods from Disney are $30.
Unless you'll be there often to take advantage of exchanging them for full powered ones I would not bother to purchase from there.
I have a $6 one from Walmart that suits my needs.

We had bought a fuel rod a couple of trips ago.
One trip we were with family, so about 5 phones and four mini fans that all used the fuel rod. Every time I passed a exchange spot, I got a fresh one. No one ran out of power.

Last trip , two phones and one fan, I was at BLT. I forgot the charger. I had cords but I couldn't find any USB ports in the room. I used the power rod all week for most of our power needs. Again exchanged it when I could and always had something plugged in to it. I did have one large fully charged unit with me but only used it when in the room and the fuel rodl was empty.

I've got a KMASHI 10000mAh that sells on Amazon for $14. It's relatively large (about twice the thickness of my iPhone 6 and a little less long/wide), but I ran my phone down and recharged it off the Kmashi three times in one day and the Kmashi was still showing half charged at the end of it. It sounds like the Power Rods are a great deal in a big group, when you're going to be swapping out for a new rod constantly to keep everyone charged, but for a solo traveler I think it's more sensible to buy your own ahead of time and just charge it overnight.

We have finally graduated to Bagless WDW touring so I don’t carry my charger or an external battery. We use our phones for pictures and social media updates. For our last trip I adjusted the power settings and was able to make it through the day all week. Makes a huge difference. I still have the same setting even though we have been back 3 weeks.

If you're trying to be a bit eco-friendly (or paranoid) like us, Amazon also has this $20 power bank with solar charging abilities. It's water resistant, too, but it is a bit bigger and heavier than an iPhone.
