But we usually go in September when Disney is almost dead in crowd levels. This year we are going December 6-14. Worried that we are all spoiled from having hardly any lines at all. How crowded is it the 2nd week in December usually? I mean, what do you think the average wait times are? I know this has been asked a billion times over and over, and I really did do a search, but didn't come up with much. Anyway, just would like to get an idea to plan our days accordingly! Thanks for any and all help from those who have traveled during this time!

We have gone the second week of December twice in the last 3 years: once as a honeymoon and the second time with an 11 month old! The lines were pretty decent. We literally walked on to some things, and the average wait for others was 10 minutes. Peter Pan and Dumbo were never options, though, as the waits were always more than an hour.

It's my favorite time of the year to go. Have fun! :thumbsup2

I agree with the previous poster. The second week in December is wonderful! The decorations are beautiful and the place is pretty quiet. Not to mention, no stifling heat to make you extra tired.

This is good news to me as we are going the third week of December. The kids aren't out of school yet for the holidays. This will be our first trip that is not either during summer or spring break so the December crowds will be good for us anyway.

We went the second week in Dec. just last year ('07). It was wonderful! The longest line we waited in was for sorin, and that was 45 min. We got on everything pretty fast. Have a great trip!:)

We went the 2nd week of Dec in 2005 and the crowd levels were very low. We walked onto every ride. I think our longest wait was 20 mins. The weather was a bit chilly at night though. We're from the Northeast so we had lightweight sweaters and fleece jackets with us, but we saw alot of people buying sweatshirts, hats and gloves. Yes, I too broke down and bought a pair of lightweight gloves. Just be sure to watch the weather as your trip approaches so that you pack accordingly.

Pop Warner begins about the time you're arriving, but unless you're staying at All Stars or POR/POFQ, you probably won't notice them much. They're usually busy with their competitions.

I love visiting WDW the first half of the month! It's my favourite time--and I've stayed during Pop Warner before with no issues. :thumbsup2

We used to do that particular week all the time before having kids and then once more with kids in 2004. It was my favorite time to go! The weather was hit or miss-ranging from the high 50's to the low 80's each time. The decorations and festivities were not to be missed! The crowds were also very low :)

Now that our kids are in school, we can't take them out due to our stict district policy :( :(

You'll love that time!!! Enjoy and have a magical trip! :goodvibes

FYI, you're probably going to experience larger crowds then in the first two weeks. I found as a local that the first two weeks of December were really nice...then as it got closer to Christmas, the parks and resorts did get noticeably more crowded. Not anything like Christmas week, but not the low levels you would experience during the first 2 weeks.
