I am just curious. I just decided today not collect the whole set ( I have all of them up to this point though) and I am just going to collect the ones I like. I beginning to spend more money on them than I anticipated :). Are you collecting the whole set?

I am collecting only the ones I like. The Poster pins, the Dwarf train, some of the B & W Pins, the Peter Pan ones and a few Misc. others. Been averaging 3 a week.

Have bought some of the others for traders.

As I have been standing in lines for the last 6 weeks to get every pin, I might as well do it for another 7-lol..I like a lot more of the pins when I get them home then I do when I look at them online!

I started I might as well finish. Never thought about how much $$$ it comes out to. And I can't resist to buy some doubles. Plus I get up at 6:30am to stand on line the store opens at 10Am

I must be nuts. But there are people on line at 8 am....

7 more weeks!!!!

Nope, not collecting the whole set. Just some sub-sets, the princesses, pooh, Snow White train and the poster pins.

I'm doing the same as most of you...just collecting the ones I like...posters, Snow White train, Mickeys and black and whites.

I mean the same as Dom and Leslie...BandW, posters, snow white train, all mickeys of course and a few others...

I debated for awhile. It was DH who said I should collect them all. So I have 'em, plus the bag, plus the binder... plus dozens extras here and there and in trades.
I don't even want to consider what I have spent.
Of course, what I COULD do is, admire along the way. And at the end of December put the whole sha-bang on Ebay and put that $$ on my January WDW trip!:jester:
Consideration, but doubt I will do it. But it sure is tempting when I think of the possibilites.

I'm only collecting pins number 1 through 100 :D

what restraint I have!

I decided to collect the millenium set while attending last year's Disneyana Convention and am still working on it so this time around I decided I would do it the right way. In fact, my sister-in-law is also collecting the whole set so we are helping each other out. We decide who's going each Saturday morning and they buy two sets. I'm really enjoying looking through the book now that it's almost half full of pins. Unfortunately, I am turning way anti-Pooh because of this collection and if it weren't going to leave holes in my set, I would probably stop buying those particular pins. And I try not to think of the amount of money I am spending. Thank goodness I have the Disney Club card and I'm dating a CM who just told me that he bought the pins for me today on the lot and it's only FRIDAY! Woo hoo. One Saturday I can sleep in!

I'm only collecting what I like...the train, some B&W, and most of the Mickey ones. I'm also picking up a few extras to use as tradables in WDW.

Shari, are you currently collecting the Disney Store 100 Years of Dreams pins? If so, where does your CM friends work?

I am keeping my fingers crossed that I can get them all. Some Saturdays it is hard for me to get to the Disney Store. I am affraid that I will miss one down the road but so far I have them all. I am keeping my fingers crossed I will be able to get them all though!

Good Luck to everyone today!

Yes I am. I love collecting pins. I am collecting the whole set. You will not see them again once they are gone.

RweTHEREyet & JudithM. I knew that was going to open up a whole new subject! ;)

From what I heard that store is only open Monday thru Friday, thus the pins cannot be released on Saturday. They release them on Fridays.

RweTHEREyet & Luv@Roam, I do think it is "interesting" that a CM can buy TDS pins, that are released for the first time to the public on Saturdays, on Friday. Why, then aren't we al lcalling that store on Fridays :)?

We weren't going to but after this long we said might as well. So I guess my answer is yes. Kris.
