That is exactly why we wait so long between trips. I want to save a bunch so I can go and buy and do anything I want. Plus, half the fun I think is in the planning and the time building up the excitment.

We will be there in 13 days but when we get back we will have a year before our return. You will survive until those last couple of weeks, they are tough. I can't wait to be back home.

The State Fair and Disney are alot alike arn't they We decided to skip it this year though. We only live 30 minutes away from it though so it is so tempting.

I know how you feel. We are going in 374 days, and I am getting excited to think that next week I can say I am going to Disney World in one year!!

I know how you feel. My DH says every three years, so I got around it this year. I'm going with my youngest daughter and KSBelle (who happens to be my sister).

I know its not the same since she already gave you the fair idea. Lets think of some other things close by to do!!
Children's Musuem in Wichita
Cow Town (if its still open)
Any lake in KS-El Dorado, Milford, Kanopolis, etc
Council Grove for history
Tallgrass Praire National Preserve and Cottonwood Falls
Rolling Hills Wildlife Zoo-you can pretend you are in AK!
Not officially in KS, but close enough to it:
KC-BBQ, Union Station, Worlds of Fun
Omaha-Zoo, great place worth the drive up there
Ozarks and all associated with it

Of course as I type this list I know none of these can replace WDW. I enjoy the planning and the saving. We actually have a seperate savings account just for vacation planning-so then we can do all the fun thing we and the kids want to do or try. Have fun planning!
