Back in October, my daughter and son-in-law began the process of buying a co-op. They both commute to their jobs in NYC so they need to stay within a very pricey vicinity. Still, they scrimped and saved and found a co-op that's manageable.
Buying a home in today's market isn't easy. With each hurdle they passed, it seemed another was erected. We thought that the final obstacle was getting approved by the co-op board. This happened 3 weeks ago and still nothing. It was taking a physical toll on my daughter and I've been very worried about her.
My Mom passed away 4 years ago. Her grandchildren were her world. Yesterday I said a little prayer and asked if she could please help my Lauren. Later that day, after 5 stressful months, my daughter called me to say they'll be closing on the 11th!!
I told her about my prayer and that Grandma definitely was looking out for her. She said she always did.
