...does anyone have the pair that are flip-flops with the thing that goes between your toes? We used to call them thongs "back in the day", which are not to be confused with the underwear!!!!

My question is, are they comfortable? I used to be able to wear flip-flops like that, but for some reason, the last couple of years, the toe thing has annoyed the heck out of me!!! But it's usually the plastic ones. Does the different material that Crocs are made of make a difference in the comfort of the toe thing?

I'd like to know this too - because Im tossing around the idea of getting those OOOOOR those Nile ones...where's your tootsie's peek out through the top of the shoe.

Any experience with the Athens or the Niles?? Anyone, anyone, anyone...Bueller?

Thanks! :teeth:

thank you for posting this! i was wondering too. i was so excited about ordering one of these but then when i got my first pair of regular crocs, i found they weren't quite as comfortable as i expected (the real test comes this weekend when i wear them to WDW). would love to hear how others feel about the nile/athens - i haven't heard ANYTHING About them so far.

I saw them at Dick's Sporting Goods last weekend. I am fairly certain that they are all plastic. In fact, I think the whole sandle is "plastic" in some capacity.

I have a pair and I really like them. The whole thing is made out of the same material so it is not really plastic like regular flip flops. They give your foot much more support then the cheap flip flops at Old Navy, etc. The first time I wore them the one foot rubbed a little at the thong part but they have been fine ever since.

That seems true for most any non-fabric "thong" on a flip-flop. I swear by Tevas and Reefs for the support, but also becuase I will get blisters from the plastic thongs.
