I Knew There Was A Reason Why I've Always Hated My Birthday - COMPLETE

Yay! Love this update. The feeling from when you're on your way to your resort to when you see the room for the first time is just indescribable.

Ahhh I love the color scheme of CSR so much. I JUST made a note that I need to buy a coral scarf.

Before you even said that you were debating jumping the fountain, I was thinking about how hard it is to not bathe in the Disney water. GET OUT OF MY HEAD.

LOL @ people telling you to drink around the world... I probably would come out with something inappropriate like, "I'm already drunk, nerd!" and then stick my tongue out. But you handled it better, I'd say.

When I saw you sitting in the chair like that I thought there was a spider LOL.

Everyyyythinggg is just so beautiful. I want to stay there!

Ok the bus stop sign is making me crack up. There's something about Mickey sitting behind a guy in a sombrero that is just funny.

I'm pretty sure I was seated like REALLY close to where you guys were when I was there. I LOVED it. The food and service and everything was just fantastic. Thank God we were in the smarty pants line. :thumbsup2

Blizzard Beach is SO fun. But Typhoon Lagoon is my fave.

CSR is GORGEOUS. :cloud9: I cannot WAIT to stay there!!!

Sorry check-in was so slow. :( We usually do online check-in, which makes the whole process a lot quicker.

Yum, gelato. I'll remember that. :thumbsup2

I hate those darn birds. :headache:

Yay for the rest of your party's arrival! And I'm sorry about the long walk. We requested Casitas, so hopefully we won't have that problem.

YAY YAY YAY for being off to MK! (p.s. that rhymed )

Kara!! Do you listen to Lou Mongello's podcast? WDWRadio? He did an interview with STACY this week! You should definitely check it out! :thumbsup2

I totally hear ya on the walk to Ranchos. Our room wasn't there last time but I did go for a walk around the whole resort. It's pretty far from El Centro. Lovely pictures of CSR!

P.S. I know you recently lost your dog while you were away but I wanted to mention that my dog fell ill THE DAY BEFORE I left. She was throwing up, not eating or drinking. It was horrible. She ended up being okay though. I know it's not the same as losing your dog while you're away but all I could think about was the situation you had been in.

Hello everyone! :wave2:

I am soooooooo sorry for the lack of updates. I've been quite ill for the past week and a half. It hasn't been fun. But I'm FINALLY starting to feel a bit better (and can sit in front of the computer for a while without feeling like I'm going to vomit) so there should be an update coming in the near future.

For now, I just wanted to quickly stop by to let you all know that...

WE BOOKED A TRIP! WE BOOKED A TRIP! WE BOOOOOOOOKED A TRIPPPPPPP!!!
:dance3:

It's not entirely set in stone (ie: life could get in the way), but we're planning on making a much needed return trip to the World from November 27th to December 3rd. We'll be staying at Port Orleans French Quarter with Free Dining. :woohoo: I've only ever been to Florida during the summer or spring break, so I'm quite excited to experience something other than 100 degree heat and insane crowds. Plus, CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS! :santa:

Well, that's all for now. I don't have time right now, but I promise that I'll respond to all of your lovely comments soon. And I'll post an update or two. If I'm gonna be at WDW in 3+ months, I'm gonna need to speed this thing up. Anyway, thanks for sticking with me! You guys rock!

So sorry you're sick. :(

BUT YAY AND A HALF THAT YOU BOOKED A TRIP!!!! You are going to LOVE LOVE LOVEEEEE POFQ. It's gorgeous!!!

party:

Awwww... I hope you feel better, no fun being sick :sad2: But yay to your newly booked trip! (Hahaha) (:

Oh I am sorry you've been sick, but that is super exciting that you have a trip booked! Disney is beautiful at Christmas time with all of the decorations!

HOORAY YOU'RE ALIVEE!! :yay:
I'm sorry you're sick :( that's terrible. But I am looking forward to the next update!
And YAYY for a Disney trip!! YAY YAY YAYYYYY :wizard: You guys definitely deserve a do-over!
In 6th grade I went to Disney in February and I caught tonsillitis... so we had to do a redo trip in August. And it was wonderful. It makes up for everything!
Yay! :goodvibes

We hopped out of the car (after I took 20 minutes to make sure I had everything I needed in my park bag) and headed into El Centro. I quite enjoyed constantly referring to El Centro. Saying it just felt so vacation-y.

This reminds me of the Wizards episode where Alex is having trouble in Spanish and her mom goes "Honey, just adding "ito" after every word doesn't make it Spanish." El Centro totally sounds un-spanish, which is why its so fun to say!

We headed inside and were instantly greeted with the greatest scent in the whole wide world: Disne y water. Ahhhh! Screw Laila – I want a bottle of Disney water to spritz on myself every morning.

Yessss Disney water!! AHMAZING!!!!

And other things that stuck in my mind while reading: I was the pink ranger like every year and morphed several times at Halloween!! AND i was just watching Power Rangers the other day on Netflix, they added the entire series on there!

And I can quote 30 rock like all day. That and FRIENDS can find themselves into conversations daily.

Wow! You are going to be at French Quarter right after I leave! Maybe I could hide a secret DIS note in a French Quarter bush for you to find. Well, no, I guess that is kinda strange.
But, I will definately be wishing I was still there when I am gone and you are just starting your trip.
Glad you are feeling a bit better. Just say "no" to illness!

Yay for another trip! You're going to love it during Christmastime, it's so beautiful! :lovestruc I'm SO close to talking my DH into going for a quick weekend trip, but every time I think he might say ok, he changes his mind and says no, ughhhh!!!

SO excited for you guys that you've booked another trip - you deserve it!!! :goodvibes And Christmas time is SUCH a wonderful time to go!!! Haven't been during that time of the year since 1997 :scared1: but I remember everything being so incredibly beautiful!!! :cloud9:

OK. I'm finally responding to all the comments I've missed. Here we go...
YAY for getting your full-blown Disney Vacation on! (: Love those Magic Kingdom signs, they truly are the best and that entrance as well. It's grandeur withstands all. I mean, that's the part of the trip leading into excitement and sadness from beginning to end, so... it does have power over Disney World guests hahahaha Same with Disney water... though I think anything Disney related has undeniable powers hahahaha

CSR looks so nice! The views around the place are gorgeous. Sorry you had to wait so long to get checked-in. Why would they split up into two reservations? That's crazy. Good thing your parents did the check-in at the same time (:

Cafe Rix looks like it has some great desserts. I spotted some Creme Brulee (:goodvibes) and that Gelato sounds really good. I really want to try some. Maybe that will be my reason to go to CSR on my next trip hmmm... The muffin looks good too, btw hahahah

Sorry you had to take that long walk to your room. At least, it was all for the final trip to the Magic Kingdom! (: Hopefully the bus ride wasn't too bad :D

Can't wait to read more! :mickeyjum
Yeah, I really don't understand how/why our reservation got split up. I mean, they were connecting rooms...It made no sense. Thankfully, getting everything sorted out wasn't too big of a hassle.

The CSR gelato was DELICIOUS. Especially after a long day in the parks.

I've been on quite the coral kick lately. Anytime I see anything coral, I'm like "I NEED THIS OR I WILL DIE!!!" It's kinda bad...

LOL I'm lucky in that I've built up quite the tolerance to repetitive, kinda dumb comments over the years. At school, I spend a lot of time speaking with prospective students and their families, so I've gotten quite good at just standing there and smiling while overprotective parents whine about how their precious little angels cannot possibly live in a dorm so small. Ugh, people...

That bus stop sign provided me with endless amusement. Every time I looked up at it, I cracked up. It made the whole 'waiting forever for buses' thing a lot more enjoyable.

Yeah, after this check-in experience, we're definitely considering doing online next time.

Definitely go get some gelato. It was wonderful. I recommend both the cookies and cream and mint chocolate chip.

Later on, we figured out that walking past the main pool and using the bridge that crosses the lake near the Cabanas was a lot quicker, so the walk didn't seem so miserable. THANK GOD.
Looking forward to all the details.
:goodvibes
I miss your updates :( Even though it hasn't been that long haha. I can't wait for another one :goodvibes
This made my day. I'm glad my updates are missed.
Kara!! Do you listen to Lou Mongello's podcast? WDWRadio? He did an interview with STACY this week! You should definitely check it out! :thumbsup2
AH! I will definitely have to check that out! Thanks for letting me know!

Oh no. I'm sorry that you had to deal with that. It is so incredibly stressful. I'm really glad that she ended up being okay. :goodvibes
