I "kind of" got a PIN code in the mail

I have been to Disney many times and at least annually since 2002. I have had annual passes for the past three years but I haven't received a PIN code from Disney ever!

For the past two years I have been staying at DVC (bought in '06). Does owning DVC omit you from the code list?
Anyway I was wondering why I NEVER get a PIN code from Disney yesterday while reading the posts here on the DIS and then...

When I checked the mail I saw that I have 2 Disney mailers in my mail box

Upon further review I see they are both for someone else
It seems I received one that was sent to my SIL (but with my address, which I'm not sure how that happened) and the other one is for my next door neighbor (accidentally put in the wrong mail box?)

So while I just received two mailers, I haven't really received any (ever) still.

Does any one know wht gets you on the mailer list and what eliminates you from the list?

This kind of happened to us also.

We were living with my mom and her BF while we were building our current house 2 years ago and a flyer for a 40% off came in the mail in my mom's BF's name (who's house it is) and address.

He hasn't been to WDW in 15 years and never plans to go back (one of those). We changed our address with Disney when we moved so I'm sure that's how they got his address and just had his name attached since he's the owner of the house.

Ticked me off because we could have really used the pin that year. I called and explained the situation to a couple CM's and they wouldn't budge.

We got one in the mail 2 days ago and I'm using this one.

The weird thing is that my SIL never lived with us so I'm not sure how they got her name associated with our address. We have stayed at WDW at the same resort before so maybe they got names and addresses crossed?

I have had the same situation. I have been to disney over 10 times, my son was a CP 3 yrs ago and I worked at the disneystore. I NEVER get codes or flyers. BUT... while my son was down there, he had a friend come to visit him and he was able to get her a room at POP with a CM discount. I guess her name was on the reservation for that ONE NIGHT and they used HIS address, because since then we consistantly get mailers with codes and specials to our address in HER name. weird.. but at least they haven't been anything I could use anyway, they always seem to be offers for times of the year I can't go.
but I don't have any idea how they make up these mailing lists. I've even taken surveys at the park, short ones and lengthy ones, hoping for something and i get NOTHING.
